I bought this dress for Halloween. I did not wear a tank top or leggings under. The material in the dress is incredibly itchy around the necklace, the waist, the arms and the legs. The armpits were quite large but the sleeves were way too tight. I had to cut the sleeves open because otherwise I couldn't bend my arms. The costume is a great starter piece! After 48 hours of glitter, 468 rhinestones, and a little sewing the dress looks even more amazing! Although we did purchase the size larger than the intended wearer, we noticed that the design of the arms is a little off. The intended wearer is usually a size Medium, but we ordered a Large just in case. To help with the adjustments we added in shoulder pads, which did help the design look more fitted, but will have a seamstress look into adjusting the under arm seems for a more comfortable fit. Besides the design of the arms, there are only two things to keep in mind: 1) the neckline trim maybe itchy. 2) the center line may pucker outwards due to a small size difference between the two connecting ends.The only real complaint about the design of the dress was that the belt should have come as an additional piece instead of a permanent part of the dress. If the belt had been separate it would have allowed the wearer to adjust it to their natural waist, and helped with any additional fitting they may have needed. We were impressed with the ombre effect of the fabric as it changes from purple to periwinkle, and the printed pattern along the bottom of the dress. Very detailed. Great for someone who likes to enhance their costumes!Ashley

This is not worth the money. The glittered parts of the fabric are so rough that my daughter's skin is all scratched up (actually to a concerning extent – she was crying last night when I touched it to put ointment on it). The velcro in the back is attached in a way so that the back of the costume doesn't close flat. Hard to describe and I can't my daughter to put it back on so I can take a picture. The sequins in the front are large circles so it looks like polka dots rather than a sparkling look. The sizing chart is also off. A medium is too small for my very tall and thin 7 year old.MamaJ
