This is my second Modern Motif. I got the first one from the sale site in the rooted version of Rusty Auburn. I wanted to try the non-rooted version because my bio hair (what there is of it) is white. But, actually, I like the rooted version better. It is richer and the roots are not a black line across the forehead. Beautiful wig in GL14/22SS. This blonde shade is perfect for my natural brunette skin tone (light to medium neutral leaning toward warm). It's not too warm, nor is it too cool, and it doesn't wash me out. I discovered Gabor recently and love the hairline and softly shaded roots of the shaded shades. The hair is soft and fine. This is a cute, lightweight pixie. She's my first experience with a lace front wig, which I find to be a little scratchy but very realistic-looking. The wig has significant permatease, but I can very easily smooth her down somewhat using just my fingers – I imagine I could get her even flatter with a good styling creme. Alternatively, if you want to spike her up, she'll go pretty high with a good shake and some teasing. I also appreciate that the bangs aren't super-long and I don't need to trim them. Although I've never tried Raquel Welch's "Winner," Serving Style seems similar to the basic (non-Elite) version of that wig, with the addition of a lace front for off-the-face styling versatility. I purchased this wig in the honey pecan. I’m a natural dark brunette plus size 23 inch head and this average fit me just fine. The cap is comfortable, natural, soft, and has a nice stretch. Rooting and highlighting is very natural spot on. To keep it out of my eyes, I just use a little clip which makes it look even cuter to put it back. This is a great wig if you want hair to stay out of your face in the summer when it’s hot or while you are busy doing things. I haven’t tried the sweet talk luxury but this one feels so nice I wouldn’t even be inclined to try unless it’s just for fun. Perfect color if you’re a brunette and you want to start going lighter and have it look natural. Will put a review on YouTube under “it’s a wonderful wig” since I love this so much. The quality on the last few Molly wigs I have purchased have been poor. There are lots of gaps in the wig where the track is visible, and the cut on the wig is extremely unprofessional. I keep thinking I’ll get a “good” one, but no luck so far. These wigs used to be very nice, not sure why the quality has gone downhill.Samantha H.
The wig is cute, and I like how it fits very close to my head, which is more natural-looking than others I have that are very poofy. However, I am very disappointed in the bangs. They look as though someone had already had the wig and cut them…badly. There are shorter spots behind the longer points of the style that just make no sense, and make it almost impossible to get it to look good. I'm trying to decide if I should try another one to compare, but I really don't want to spend the money. And I'm nervous about trying to cut the front myself to try to fix it. At least it wasn't an expensive wig.
