An 18th century styled wig in white with an attached tie on the back. great to use for george washington, thomas jefferson, alexander hamilton and other founding fathers. complete your patriotic costume with this wig! wig styling tips do not use heated styling tools as this will damage synthetic fiber. cool temperature styling tools, plastic curlers, and hair spray are recommended. remove wig from packaging and also remove hair net. for loose, curly and wavy wigs, it is suggested that you hold wig upside down by the cap and shape to loosen and layer the fibers. this will also add fullness to your wig. add hair spray to hold if desired. this is not recommended for wigs that are pinned or tightly styled. remove tangles with your fingers and gentle brush your wig. the only exception is wigs that are very curly – don't attempt to brush them. if your wig if frizzy or has static cling you can use a dryer sheet to smooth down the fly away hairs. care instruction fill a basin with a mix of cool water (hot water can damage can damage your wig) and mild shampoo. leave wig to soak for 5 minutes. swirl your wig around in the water, but don't rub the fibers. rinse your wig under cool running water. shake excess water off your wig and spread on a towel to dry. alternatively, you can put it on a wig stand to air dry. brush your wig when it is completely dry and it is ready to wear again.

This wig was a challenge to get on my teenage son's head, and a bigger challenge to keep there. Once on, it looked nothing like the picture on the packaging. Even after some attempts at brushing. It didn't even look like something had crawled on his head and died. Because it didn't look real enough to even have that going for it. The strands of "hair" were sparse enough that you could see the base netting. I finally told him that his costume would look better with his real hair; how readily he agreed was an indication of just how uncomfortable it was. Thank goodness it wasn't that expensive. The product itself is beautiful. Very well done with the exception of the extremely long nape and the thick silicone padding. You better hope the silicone works, because with it you have no other options to make your wig stay down. Neither tape nor glue will stick to that silicone. The only option is to wear a wig band and if you do that, you will have to pull the already too long nape even further down the back of you neck. I'm also disappointed in the extremely limited amount of tips and info on cutting and caring for men's wigs. I suppose this is because the idea of men wearing wigs is still a new phenomonon, but if a site sells them, the site should strive to do better to help the customer get info on styling, cutting, etc. I have bought two of these units, and I plan to continue to buy because through much trial and error I have finally figured out how to make it work for me. This process required me to basically ruin the first wig which was expensive, but at least I figured everything out with it so I'll know just what to do with subsequent wigs. I would give this product 5 stars if the manufacturer would shorten the nape in the back, and do something else other than the thick silicone padding.Thank you.
