I realized both my hair and my daughters hair. I've been natural 4 years and had 4 inches 4c coils that stretch to 10 inches. The relaxer took well (so I thought) as I followed all the instructions carefully, but day 2 and beyond I combed out hair like I was on chemo. I tried to wear jt just slicked back no products just a little castor oil no heat or nothing. A month later more served breakage. I'm waiting for 1 inch new growth and I'm chopping it off. I'm behind devastated. My daughter is aldo 4c virgin hair. she's 16 I relaxed her hair the day before mine. her's appeared to take well also. A month later she has bad breakage not as bad as mine but everywhere short pieces. Our hair is snapping off and won't stop. I pray her hair stops breaking that will be traumatic for her. As for me it is devastating but I will deal with it. btw I checked the expiration dates on the boxes and they are within a year of expiry. and it was Regular strength relaxers. I enjoy changing up my look from time to time but in doing so I have found that many wigs quickly can get unruly. I often have a lot of fly-aways after straightening my hair, and so I thought this would be the perfect product to tame them. I hate using hairspray or gel as it gets so sticky and flakey. For me, this product was okay. It kept some pieces down, while others remained pesky and kept standing up. I tried not to use too much, as it is a bit sticky. However, what I do love is that it doesn't flake or show residue after it dries. And the next day, my hair wasn't sticky where I had applied it. I don't know if I would use this on my baby, as it is sticky when you first apply, but I would continue using it for myself in place of hairspray or other gel.Shortee409

I LOVE THIS GEL! It's more expensive than the rest of the eco styler gels, but for good reason. It's way more moisturizing. I usually use a leave-in lotion, a thicker cream, and then apply gel to maintain hydration once gel is applied. With this product, I don't need to do all of that. You can tell immediately upon application that it's not a drying formula, and it smells amazing! It defines my curls really well, and I mostly use this with wash-n-go styling.evelyn.k
One of my favorite out of all the eco styler gels so far! It layers well with other products and i found it to be fairly moisturizing for my hair. It is a but more expensive than the other gels but that is because it pretty much has a built in Leave In product so all you need is this one tub. Wasnt heavy enough to lay my edges but some people have had luck with that. My hair is extremely dense type 3/ type 4 curls so I didnt expect it to lay my edges down. It left my hair extremely defined with minimal crunch. Again, this is one of the best gels for kinky hair!phonché.s
I have type 3B/C hair. I used this for a wash and go. Just as a side note, the jar says it's 10 hold, but it definitely is not. This gel has a lot of moisture. I guess this is good because it does not dry out the hair. But maybe the max moisture leads to lack of all day hold. I did my hair in the morning and my hair started losing hold and getting frizzy by 7 PM. Also, I had to use about a quarter of the jar to get definition that didn't last all day, let alone the next. So, I guess if don't want an all day hold or second day hair – it could work. I didn't know what to expect so I am not exactly disappointed, but I also will not rebuy this product. I haven’t used it yet, it contains phenoxyethanol and I’m breastfeeding. The ORS website doesn’t list that as an ingredient, so when I ordered it, I was under the impression it wasn’t an ingredient but it’s listed on the back of the packet.
