Paula Young Pixie Wigs For Sale (2024 Update)

Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita

I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve

I now own three Flirt Alert wigs, this is my absolute favorite for several reasons. I wear my wigs every day, all day. I need a wig that holds up well to daily use. I find the tangling and matting of the longer wigs to be unbearable! Well let me tell you…flirt alert holds up well!! She is soft and silky, bouncy and beautiful…the 4 inch nape keeps her from matting…I get so many compliments when I wear her. The other day, a woman got out of her car and was screaming across the parking lot wanting to know where I get my hair done because she wanted hers done like mine! LOL! I wish this wig came in a hand tied cap, but that’s my ONLY complaint, if you can call that a complaint.Kyra

I have been wearing wigs since breast cancer caused my already thinning hair to fall out. Due to POS and a hormone blocker I will take for a few more years, my hair had no chance at coming back to anything resembling a full head. I've played around with a few styles, staying mostly with bobs, which was close to my hairstyle before chemo and I was comfortable with. I decided to take the plunge and go for a shorter, easier style and came upon Advanced French. Ordered in a lighter color (RL 14/22, Pale Golden Wheat) as my own hair is mostly white and a golden blonde. The wig came and it immediately seemed to brighten my face and is a very youthful style, not that at 64 yrs. I want to look like a kid, but every little bit helps. I had it on when the husband came home from work and he didn't have to say anything for me to know he approved. Its fun, easy and for a short style, has some styling options. The lace front is not as itchy as some have been and I love getting hair off my neck and off the face. Great little style and ordered two more right away.Therese W.

Just received my Big Deal in Shaded Biscuit. She was out of stock for a while, so I jumped on this order when she became available again, and I'm so glad I did! The fibers are silky soft with los of swingy, natural movement. She's comfortable and can go from daytime to evening easily. Big Time and Upstage are about the longest lengths I'll wear; anything longer jus doesn't look like me. I'm petite, for reference. Also, I have only brushed this wig upside down before putting it on. Loved Dylan in shade 14/26A so much that I bought another one in shade 24/14. Dylan can be worn straight out of the box. The wavy curls look natural and feel so feminine. When they loosen, just spray with water and scrunch for beautiful wavy curls.Andrea

I've purchased several wigs from Paul Young and have been extremely satisfied with the fit, color and quality. They are comfortable, stylish, and sometimes I even forget I'm wearing a wig! I've had several complements on how nice my hair looks and little do most people know I'm wearing a wig! My latest purchase is the Dylan wig and I'm really happy with it. Arrived via USPS in very good condition, with normal time frame for USPS. The wig was easy to put on and take off. There were instructions for all of my purchase. I lost my hair within 6 days due to chemotherapy, so the helpful instructions were appreciated. The wig was similar to the online photo, but less curly, and that was a slight disappointment. Since it had just arrived at my time of need I am very thankful for the purchase. I have ordered 2 more different styles with some additional accessories. I have ordered several wigs from Paula Young & have been totally satisfied! The customer service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable! I have to admit, The Sheer Drama wig that I received a couple weeks ago or less, was my first disappointment. The cap is so sheer, that you can see dark hand tied knots a lot through the top. The wig color is Platinum 101. The dark knots actually made me squeamish! They looked like it had lice throughout it!! Being an RN, I had to really look closer & touch the lice-looking knots, & confirmed they were NOT Lice. It was advertised as whisper light- yep it’s so light you see through the cap!Bobbi

This would be a good wig for someone who is not new to wearing wigs. Straight out of the box the wig had a strong plastic like smell. After washing the smell was much less, but still there. Hoping this will fade with time. I have a large head but took a chance and ordered this anyway (average size). It fits very comfortably. The description says ""100% hand tied"". It is not. The top half is hand tied, the bottom half is sewn wefts. The hair is thick enough to be styled in a messy updo. The hand tied knots,on the top, are not bleached. If you order a medium to dark color it shouldn't be a big problem. If you are a light color you will need to camouflage them. This is not a lace front. There is a fabric band across the hairline that will make styling challenging. This would be a very comfortable wig if you had little to no hair. If you are willing to spend time working with your wig this could be a good choice for you.Raven

This is my first wig. I did my research, and chose Sheer Drama. I lov the waves and style My hair is long but falling out. I live in South Florida so my hair does not keep any curl in the humidity . Ok I thought perfect, I’ll have a full head of wavy hair and the color is a perfect match. Sadly I have a small head and cannot keep the wig on no matter what I do. I bought a grip but no help. So I am going to return my lovely today. I wish there were more choices in petite.Joanna

My mother, 85, jokingly said one day how she needed a wig because her hair was thinning and she was have trouble fixing it herself. She goes to the hairdresser once a week, but that doesn't guarantee a week of good looking hair. I decided to check out wigs. I looked for the style most like hers, Winner, by Raquel Welch, and after a second attempt of matching color, found perfect, light brown with grey. It looks just like her hair after she leaves her hairdresser. She wore it all day the first day and didn't even remember she had it on until my dad remarked that her hair looked good that day. Delivery was fabulous, 7 days to Indonesia and I love the way customs is included. This is my third Winner wig, I find the style comfortable and versatile. My other two wigs are brown but I wanted to try some highlights as I had them when I was younger. I think the routed wigs look more natural so I chose Shaded Cappuccino SS12/22. I hunted all over the web for a review or You Tube video for Winner in that colour but could only find longer styles. In the end I ordered it anyway. When it arrived I hated it, I thought the roots made me look like a skunk, and if I lived in the US I would have sent it back. Anyway I kept digging it out of my wardrobe and eventually began to like it. I think I have had brown hair for so many years I wasn't used to the tones. So it's all good now.Maxine S.

Hi, I have been purchasing this Shannon wig for 8yrs now and have "Never" been dis-appointed! The Shannon wig is not only durable for daily wear and holds up very well wash after was it also, is my go to wig for a quick updo for special occasions!!! My color of choice is Wheat Rooted because I have fair skin and green eyes and boy does this rooted color make my eyes pop!!! For some reason unknown to doctors when I was just 24yrs old I lost all my hair over a span of 8 months and battling cervical cancer as well! As a young woman I was devastated and experiencing depression, chemo was brutal to say the least. I had a young family to raise and had to hold down a high pressure job where personal appearances mattered!!! So needless to say I was forced into buying those old fashioned bulky and ugly wigs. Then came the more natural looking wigs that were way over priced. All I can say is thank you Wig.com and Paula Young for making such durable cute and chic looking wigs at such affordable prices!!! I also, have purchased Avery wig and Nola wig and I'm currently deciding to purchase the new Sloane wig (if you haven't checked out any of these wigs, please do so)!!! The "Special Bonus" is all of these wigs are "Versa Fiber Wigs" as well as Heat Friendly. This is key to all of the wigs I have mentioned being extremely durable shampoo after shampoo & conditioner to holding up so well!!! You can stick your head near the oven when cooking, take a walk on a hot and or humid day, sunbathe etc..etc and all of these wigs will hold up to all of what I just mentioned! Of course don't forget to purchase the correct wig shampoo, wig spray conditioner and wig spray found on both Wig.com and Paula Young. These accessories are really very important for proper wig care!!! Also, if you can afford it please splurge on a good wig stand and wig travel case, which are also found on Wig com. I’ve worn Shannon for many years and I love it! I’ve tried other styles, I always go back to my favorite, Shannon. I get compliments all the time! I’ve had beautician friends that were shocked when I told them I had a wig on! They fry very quickly and are so easy to style. I lost most of my hair because of medication that I take for a bladder and thyroid disease. Paula Young has changed my life with the Shannon wig. I am forever grateful. I am 74 years old. Sorry for the long post. This wig is really nice and the hair with the rooted color looks just like real hair. I got the pecan delight rooted, it’s a dark brown root color with medium/light golden brown hair with some subtle golden blonde highlights blended in. Very close match to my real hair. Warning I did purchase another wig in pecan delight without the rooting and it just comes off too light, like a very light golden brown. Without the rooting I would go to the next shade darker or maybe even two. I did have two issues with the wig. They won’t stop me from buying another one. The first is that the wig I got was longer in length by a few inches and bulkier, a lot more hair, than in the photos. I did have to give the wig a trim and I did thin it out with thinning shears and it’s perfect. The second issue, which I know I played a huge contributing factor too, is that after fixing the wig to my liking, the ends are already dried out and frizzy. I did get rid of about 75% of that appearance out of the wig. I gently hand washed it and pat dried it just little so it wasn’t soaking wet. Gently combed it out with a wide toothed combed. Starting at the ends, I applied It’s a 10 leave in conditioner with a couple drops of a silicone based heat protection. I then lightly sprayed the wig with a coconut oil heat protectant spray. Gently combed through again and air dried it overnight on the open wire wig stand. I was amazed at the difference and it is holding up nicely.Debra

I wanted to love this wig but the only thing I did love was the color, Buttered Toast. I had searched for a mid length wavy wig and thot I had found it but sadly I just couldn’t get it to work. The back has tight curls but the sides were looser and the left side bangs were so long that I couldn’t do anything with it . I finally did clip it back but it just didn’t look right. I wish I hadn’t cut the tags off so that I could return it, but guess I’m stuck with it. Hopefully, I’ll figure out a way to fix the long bang, perhaps my hairdresser can help.Jeanne

After I received my order it was apparent that the color was just not a good one for me. I had ordered two wigs, both the same color and found that in person they were just very fake and not a natural look at all. I sent them back and then after reading the instruction found that over half the amount I paid for them was to be deducted due to the various charges they put on returns. I am very upset at this change in policy and cannot see myself using Paula Young Wigs in the future. I have been a faithful customer for over 15 years, so sorry, not anymore.Carol

A few months ago, I ordered the "Alex" wig. I love it! I ordered a second one so that I would always have it ready. While the first one was – and stil is – perfect, the second one is straggly and sloppy looking. When I first took it out of the box and followed directions (shaking, etc,) it looked ok. I put it aside til I could get a styrofoam head. Once I put it on that, it showed itself. I cannot wear it. I have not worn it. Unfortunately, I did take the tag off when I thought it was going to be ok. Please take it back and send me one that looks like the first one.Rosemary

I received the wig in a couple of weeks of ordering..I tried it on but it kept slipping off my head. The velcro tapes were set to the tightest setting. I took the wig to my hairdresser thinking it should be cut as the style was so weird.. She told me to wash it first in fairly hot water so some of the crushing from shipping would come out.. Seriously after wearing it for 30 seconds it looked like I was a cone head!! The inside just above the bangs there is a circle of heavy knit capping.. Not the stretch lace like the rest of the wig liner is made from…This is advertised as a whisper lite wig?…My head dripped with sweat in a few minutes as it just does not breathe the same as my other wigs? My hairdresser suggested it not be cut but to somehow get it made smaller. I have Alopecia so have bought and worn wigs for some years. I have always had wigs come with a stretchy lace type liner with metal adjustable clips on the elastic straps. I live in Canada so not an option to return the wig with the high postage, tax paid and the exchange rate…. So I bought some crazy glue to cinch up the elastic tapes making them shorter.. that was a total mess as the glue did not adhere the same as my other many wigs have done when the elastic stretched out.. I then pinched the material together to sew it on each side to tighten to fit my head.. I have always worn an average size wig… This one with that hard thick cone or dome inside was something else!!! Why did I take the added expense of a hairdresser as well as buying the glue?? The color of the wig and the style now that I have the cap fitting properly suits me to no end!! I look stunning in it and it looks like my own hair. My hairdresser says it does not look at all like a wig….So I made all of these compromises! I suggest that they make this Wig in all sizes so we don't have to glue or sew our fingers trying to make them smaller than Average. I suggest that the Deluxe Soft Touch Grip be sold in a smaller size as wellBrenda

I received this wig – # A1228, Meg Whisperlite Petit in SF 51/60. I returned it because it appeared to have been a return. It was thinned out or trimmed in some way that completely changed the style. I ordered and paid for a new wig. I own 7 of these wigs in this style, color and size, so I know what they should look like. I was very disappointed. This is actually the second time this has happened to me, but this time instead of trying to make the best of it and use something I was not happy with, I returned it for an exchange. I don’t think I should have to pay any restock charge or any other charge for this return. It was your fault in sending me a defective wig, not mine. I wear them as styled straight out of the box as they are. I am telling you, this one did not look like, nor was it the quality I have had in the past with this wig. I am not happy.Jo

This order is yet another attempt to find something that is wearable from PY. I bought 2 of these Meg wigs in different colors, and sent back the Lt Blonde, it looked like a light bulb on my head. The other one in Platinum blonde looks like a barbie dolls hair. I powdered it but it still glows. I paid my hair dresser to cut it down, and I trimmed it again. Pro: This order looked new, unworn. (My first looked very worn, I returned it.) Cons: Netting in front shows unless you plaster hair down just right. Sides & back are way too thick. Mine's been trimmed 2 times and it's still too much. The picture shows the hair off the neck, but after wearing the wig for 6 hours, my neck & upper back where the hair rubbed it was red and sore from the scratchy synthetic hair. I used the wrap band to keep it in place, and knew the wig made me extremely hot but when I took the wig off, my whole head was a sweaty mess. I haven't worn it since. I hate it. I ordered 2 Wiglets 7 days ago, in Humane Hair to see if that can work. They were suppose to "arrive no later than 4pm today," but no show. (I've come to NOT rely on this company's word though. You’ve changed the Meg wig, and not for the better. I bought this wig in 2015 and I loved it. Last year my sister bought the same wig. She came to my house with it, not happy. Saying differs than one I bought. I didn’t think she was right then. I do now, after recently buying again. It’s shorter. And let me say, I got a recent catalog, saw many I liked. The problem, only a select few in petite sizes. So I not Meg again, and disappointed in the change.Linda

I have bought Trendsetter in gradient charcoal for some years now and have 8 of them, having the best ones for special occasions, average for every day, and the other one for work. Now I have received the ninth one, and am SO disappointed. No longer does Trendsetter have flicked up waves, it is half the thickness that it was, and it is straight with no bounce. Has anyone else had this experience? I believe they are being made more cheaply, or have been taken over by an inferior company who have no idea what Trendsetter is supposed to be. I chose Glazed Vanilla and Silver Mist. The style is very flattering and super easy to wear. You just shake it out, put it on, comb the bangs into place a go! I've been a blonde for years so enjoy the Glazed Vanilla for work. The Silver Mist is gorgeous. Since I'm all grey now, it's a fun weekend wig. The Trendsetter is very comfortable to wear. It has a light airy feel, like your own hair. I wear an average size and it's great, with easy adjustable straps if you need a tighter fit. Beautiful wig in GL14/22SS. This blonde shade is perfect for my natural brunette skin tone (light to medium neutral leaning toward warm). It's not too warm, nor is it too cool, and it doesn't wash me out. I discovered Gabor recently and love the hairline and softly shaded roots of the shaded shades. The hair is soft and fine. This is a cute, lightweight pixie. She's my first experience with a lace front wig, which I find to be a little scratchy but very realistic-looking. The wig has significant permatease, but I can very easily smooth her down somewhat using just my fingers – I imagine I could get her even flatter with a good styling creme. Alternatively, if you want to spike her up, she'll go pretty high with a good shake and some teasing. I also appreciate that the bangs aren't super-long and I don't need to trim them. Although I've never tried Raquel Welch's "Winner," Serving Style seems similar to the basic (non-Elite) version of that wig, with the addition of a lace front for off-the-face styling versatility. I purchased this wig in the honey pecan. I’m a natural dark brunette plus size 23 inch head and this average fit me just fine. The cap is comfortable, natural, soft, and has a nice stretch. Rooting and highlighting is very natural spot on. To keep it out of my eyes, I just use a little clip which makes it look even cuter to put it back. This is a great wig if you want hair to stay out of your face in the summer when it’s hot or while you are busy doing things. I haven’t tried the sweet talk luxury but this one feels so nice I wouldn’t even be inclined to try unless it’s just for fun. Perfect color if you’re a brunette and you want to start going lighter and have it look natural. Will put a review on YouTube under “it’s a wonderful wig” since I love this so much. Oh my gosh. I can now stop shopping for the wig that suits me in every way as I have found it in the Jamie Lynn! I have had short hair for almost 13 years and wanted something more youthful, easy to wear and comfortable. I have always wanted hair that was a beautiful blonde (mine is more dish-water blonde) but didn't want to spend the $ or the time at the hair salon. I am tired of short hair but not 100% comfortable in long hair as I am 62 years old (at least not to wear on a daily basis – nights out perhaps). I love this mid-length style and the layers are to-die-for! Girls, it is absolutely beautiful right out of the box; all I had to do was have my hairdresser trim the bangs a bit. I purchased the Wheat Rooted and it is so natural looking with swingy layers and beautiful highlights, and the dark roots add the natural look. My sister saw it for the first time and she was blown away! I have never worn wigs before and am approaching retirement, wanted to change my look a bit and have a simpler beauty routine. I have now ordered two more for back-up and am fearful PY will stop making this one – PLEASE DON'T. Wish I could add some pics but technologically challenged. My first ever wig purchase was a bust! I was hopeful that I would love them (I bought 2) when they arrived. Very professional packaging. Once I gave the wig a little shake and let everything settle,i prepared to put on. My best friend orders your wigs all the time but hers are all a light brown or blonde and she recommended getting the “rooted” colors. Mine was flame rooted so I was expecting a deeper shade of red. This is a deep brown and black at the roots, which to me looks VERY unnatural. I’ve had auburn hair most of my life but never those kind of roots! I was borderline in sizing and know now that I should have ordered a large because even after adjusting the Velcro it still did not sit well on my head. I will be returning both wigs and shop at a local wig shop when I have the urge to have a wig again.Deborah

I LOVE IT!! I ordered the Jamie Lynn wig in the color Buttered Toast Rooted (code: SF10/26#6) after seeing a wig review on You Tube, and I'm so glad I did! I have nothing but positive things to say about this wig. Not only is the style adorable and the color absolutely stunning, but it's light and super comfortable! Once I put it on, it felt like I wasn't even wearing a wig. I am an average/large circumference (22 1/2 inches), and this wig fit me beautifully and even better than the more expensive wigs in my collection. The fibers are soft, silky, and natural looking. The Buttered Toast Rooted ( SF10/26#6) color is perfect and goes well with my cool skin tone and my green eyes. Shipping was fast, and the wig arrived in perfect condition, free of any flaws or defects. I gave it a few shakes, put it on, and after a little bit of styling, I was good to go! This is a completely no-fuss style, which I love. I am planning to try more Paula Young wigs in the future. The price is unbeatable and the quality is outstanding. I recently received my Becky, and was so disappointed. The color was beautiful, but the hair was wild and straight. It looked like it had been harshly brushed out, and was very dry. I shook it , sprayed it with PY conditioner, but had to cut some bangs and wear it anyway, as I needed to return the beautiful, long Gayle, as it was too long and young looking for me at 74. I have worn PY wigs for many years due to thinning hair, and have only had a few disappointments, but lately have had with problems. I tried washing the Becky in PY shampoo, and conditioner , but the hair remained the same.Judy

I was so excited for the curls. I was sad to see her a little fuzzy around the top. The light blonde colors are a bit shiny. I tried to fix her with dry shampoo but that didn’t work. Decided to just bite the bullet and wear her pulled back. Kinda defeats having curls but once I used dry shampoo, she was mine.Carla

If you love curls, then Becky's the girl for you! She's surprisingly lightweight and cool. She has a beautiful lace front that is not itchy at all and a mono part. I got Becky in the Swedish blonde which is a rooted color. It's beautiful and what you see in the picture is what you get. I've been a wig wearer everyday and all day for the past four years and can tell you that this is a great wig and the price is fantastic! I have a 21" circumference head so am a petite average and the fit and coverage is perfect for my smaller head!!! This makes me so happy as so many wigs are just too large for me. I would tell you to NOT comb through this wig but simply finger comb through and loosen up the curls when you first get her out of the box, otherwise you will definitely look like a "doll head." I wear claw clips to pull hair back, or headbands to change up the look and it all looks great! I've already ordered a second Becky and I'm sure it won't be my last!Cynthia

I own 2 of these beautiful wigs. It is a fabulous color P27-30-33. The cap is breathable and I don't melt while playing tennis in south Alabama. It is super easy to style with a straightener, curling iron and even hot rollers. I have had these over a year and wear them every day. My only complaint is that after a few months you do have to carefully flat iron the ends especially at the nape of the neck because the hair gets very frizzy and course. I wash them in the recommended wig clenser and conditioner and that helps maintain them. Fantastic product and a great buy. I am ordering another.Ceige

This wig looks just like my natural hair, people tell me they can’t tell the difference! It is nice to look like me while undergoing chemo. This wig is a little wild but I have naturally curly hair and am used to having hair that can’t be tamed!Lauren

I shook out my new wig with great anticipation, put it on and voila! It looked like I had a helmet on top of my head. No little wispy layers, but holes, cowlicks, and you name it. I liked the new short style for me and decided I would take it to my beautician to see what she could do. I showed her the picture, put on the wig, and did a little tweaking. Her first response was, "Is this the same wig you ordered?" She worked with it and finally said, "Can you send it back?" No. Well, she styled some more and made it look better. However, she said that whenever I put it on, I would always need to work with it and use wig hair spray to keep down the cowlicks." I have 12 wigs and 10 came from Paula Young. I've loved all but two of them. This is my first 100% hand tied wig. I will think long and hard about another. If you are considering this wig, look for one similar. This one is not worth the good sale price at that time. Sorry, I'm sending no picture as the wig does not look like the picture but looks presentable after being trimmed and tweaked by my wonderful stylist. Disappointed!Fay

I really do love the color. However, I believe it might be too big. I have a very small adult head, the petite small fits best, but is a little too tight and the Petite is a little too big. The tags are still on, won't take them off until I make a decision to keep or not. I am recovering from DIEPFlap breast reconstruction so decisions are taking longer. Also no real reason to wear it right now. I have always been pleased with your products. And I know I will be with this one also. BonnieBonnie

I am really enjoying my Sheer Magic Hand-Tied WhisperLite Wig. I got it in my natural color, and everyone thinks it is my hair. Getting ready to go out "anywhere", this senior lady enjoys the fact that my "hair" is always ready to go. So far, it's my favorite wig!!Gail

Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. Coverage around the ears and nape is great.Lisa

When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita

I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve

Definitely not the Geneva I've been purchasing and loving for several years. The Geneva I ordered in October and just received is significantly inferior and completely unwearable. The one I purchased this summer was inferior as well. I would have returned it but I clipped the tags off assuming it was the same amazing Geneva I'd purchased in the past. It wasn't and I wasted my money since I couldn't return it once I clipped off the tags. I made this purchase in October hoping my summer purchase was merely a fluke. Unfortunately it wasn't a fluke. The size is completely different -the cap is significantly smaller – doesn't even fit down on my head and the "hair" is a strange texture and sticks up all over. I checked to insure it was the correct size (average) since I noticed that it was also now being offered in petite. It was average but I sincerely doubt the validity of the sizing. I also noticed that the petite size is no longer being offered. The one I just received is going back. I will not be ordering another Geneva. If I could have given fewer than 1 star, I would have.TINA

I have been a customer for several wigs from Paula Young. The very first 2 I purchased were a Vikki and Geneva. They were perfect for me. I recently have ordered the same wigs over again and for some reason the quality of each of them has declined to the point of them being returned. The length of each style was much shorter and had less hair where the netting ribs showed especially in the back area. The Vickki's I received looked more like the Rickki's, and I had ordered it in 2 different shades. This was earlier in the year when I was having work done on the house and neglected to look at them and time was to late to return them so I have 2 that I won't use. I ordered the Geneva after that and the first one is perfect, leading me to order 2 more while on sale and to be able to rotate them. The 2 I recently received are being returned today. One of them looks to have been trimmed around the ear area and very uneven and lacks hair in general. The second on is not same or even close to color and the thinning of the hair especially in the back leaves the rib sewing seen which is not great. Not sure if the quality control is problem but just disappointed. I have to wear the wigs due to baldness. Please bring back the good wigs and quality control. I do appreciate being able to return them and will try again. Thank You, JuneJune

I would have sent the wig back, but unfortunately my mom's aide that she had while I was away tore the ticket off of the wig. My mom will be 98 on Saturday. She barely has any hair and when she put the wig on for me it looked like the wig had been cut around a bowl. I even put the wig on to see if it made any difference on me and I could not style it to look anything like the picture. So disappointed for my mom!Donna
