Paula Young Whisperlite Wigs For Sale (2024 Update)

Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. Coverage around the ears and nape is great.Lisa

When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita

I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve

I was promised by PaulaYoung catalog and notice that arrived with the 2 wigs I ordered that I would get a full refund if wigs were not right for me. I sent these back within 3 days of there arrival in all good faith There is no refund on my credit card bill. Now I have to go through the whole process of denying these purchases through my credit card company. Your policy is to offer and not follow through is in fact illegal. I will certainly tell other women at Memorial Sloan Kettering NYC suffering severe hair loss as I have with chemotherapy to avoid your company. Pamela Hale MDPamela

I already have a PY topper in 56-Silver which is a lovely grey/brown/black blend purchased in May 2020. My recent purchase of the Ryan wig in 56-Silver is 100% silver in color and nothing like the piece I already have. The box is marked correctly as a 56- Silver however there obviously was a packing error or very obvious color/formula change since May 2020. CS offered up empty apologies & will charge me $9.00 return shipping PLUS $19.00 restocking fee. No thanks. Lesson learned. I won’t buy another Paula Young product if they can’t even fix their own mistake & would not recommend that anyone else does either.Susan

I thought I was getting a two for one deal the ad confused me my problems with the wig is I don’t have any hair hardly I suffer with staph in my hair from hurricanes in Louisiana . Haveing no cure I can’t grow hair. So when I put the wig on I have no hair under the wig to attach a Bobby pins to so I measured my head but because I don’t have an exact attach to my own head the wig is always sliding up . An also in addition to the wig on Staying on. No ways to protect the wig from getting the bacteria staph , on the wig hair like a light silk inside the hair that have a light snap that would give the wig to stay on. Now it was a Paula jones wig what I did like a lot was the fact that the wig didn’t have to Hair even though I can’t grow hair the Paula jones wig gets an AAA for not having too Hair so a lot of people who are small like me don’t have very thick hair. Paula jones wig Actually have a wig that a normal as to the amount of hair in the wig. When I ever bought wigs from other sources every time I tried a wig that wasn’t Paula jones wig EVERY wig I bought was a waste of a lot r money because my husband hurt my feelings telling me to take the OTHER kind of wigs offf because they didn’t look normal because my face n body was meant for hair that is fine an thin. Too much hair on other wigs is bad . ONLY PAULA JOnes Wigs have a normal to fine thin hair when you where them makes me feel at least a lil normal when we go out like everybody isn’t stearin at me like I’m a freak also I am sixty so I needed a salt n pepper kind of color to look more normal for me. At Paula Jones wig if a real person reads this Maybe somebody my actually care about my reasons for using a wig is medical an not Vanity. I have 3 Geneva style wigs and love them. I ordered 2 more, it the new ones are much shorter in length than my 3 older ones. Very disappointing that they are not consistent in the styling & length. Geneva rooted is by far my favorite, but the ones I just received are very pixie ish. Even my husband commented on the shortness. I did send one back &kept the other. I don’t know if I will even wear this new one. Not good quality control. Too bad, I have praised their products to friends & family,but now w/a warning.Judy

For the fifth ( or sixth) time in the last 18 months, the wig has been of poor quality….thin, flat, choppy looking. Not like pictured, not like previous purchases. I’ve worn PY wigs for 10 years and have come to expect natural looking hair. I wear them out of necessity, so receiving these last ones has not only been disappointing, but necessitates buying new ones. I have donated several to the cancer center. They have hairdressers who can work with the wigs to make them useable for patients in need. Skills I don’t have. I can’t afford to keep donating and buying anew 😔Carolyn

The wig is lovely in the picture on the website, a little different than what came. I am sure it is the same wig, but the styling was somewhat different. I wasn't thrilled with how it looked on me. On someone else it will be pretty. The quality of the workmanship was good, and it fit really well. But no matter how you try to picture yourself with a certain hairstyle you just can't until you try it on and look in the mirror. I do wish that the website had software for virtual try on where you could upload your picture and try on the wigs before you order. I am sending this one back, just not for me.Cathy
