So with the heat protection spray I do like it. I don’t spray so much of it mostly when my hair is damp because when it’s dry like it just makes my hair feel very heavy. anyways I did try it both ways wet hair and dry hair just to see what works best for me. My experiences with this were positive not so much negative may be just like a little bit I have thin fine hair and it’s also oily so a little bit of everything and any product goes a long way I do know that because of the changes in season and I do require to use a little bit more so this would be very helpful for me during the winter because in the summer my hair heats up really bad because of the sun and it’s just I live in his dry state so he protection and I do straighten my hair a lot it does not really go with me. A little bit of a use I do get out of it but in the winter that is when I will definitely be using it to the max but other than that my hair did become heavy after a long day I’m not gonna say it so much light weight but it did make me feel good for a while with nice hair and it does smell good. I can't lie, I was really blown away by this line. Although I really wanted to give a good review on how well this straightened and retained my hair, I can't really say. I applied this I let my hair mostly sure dry in twists, then I proceeded to blow my hair out. I then straightened my hair. No other products were required to straighten my hair and it came out very silly and beautiful, by it didn't last😩. By the next day, the exterior layer of my hair had already swollen up. While this product DOES protect from heat damage (I tested some strands that remained straight, and they retained their curl after rehydrating), it does NOT help to retain the style or defy any humidity. I do not think this system, overall, does very well retaining heat styles or defending against humidity. I didn't get past more than a day before my hair swelled up from humidity. BUT, ill also point out that I experienced swelling on the outer layer of my hair, but underneath it was still straight, which was a new occurrence for me, and I was impressed. The product does keep my hair moisturize for a few days too and doesn’t leave it dry or brittle. It makes my hair feel so soft & revived!! My Routine: 1. Spray with plain water first 2. Spray in the leave-in-conditioner (scalp & hair strands twists) 3. Oil/Grease my scalp and my hair strands of the twist I don’t spray in the leave in conditioner everyday. The smell is okay in my opinion. It’s not strong or overbearing; it’s definitely more of a natural scent of the bamboo than I can smell of the coconut (love coconut). But, that’s just my opinion. True test is when I take my twists down and see how my natural hair will be but for now I’m really satisfied. I would repurchase this again. I did my research before purchasing and I’m happy I came across this product and it wasn’t a fail! The shipping cost, ugh, I think we can all agree we hate. I ended up paying about $17 so keep that in mind for your purchase. It took about a week to arrive instead of the 3 days but again we’re in middle of pandemic so it’s a reasonable pass. I'm always looking to try a new product, see what my hair likes and what it doesn't. I tried the apple leave in conditioner first and didn't think I'd find anything better. Then I tried this one and this just might be that one to beat out the apple and aloe leave in. I keep my hair in twists, so I've been looking for a leave in that's light and liquid enough to spray on my twists to keep them hydrated (trying to work in the standard creams just creates frizz and I end up having to retwist everything). I even tried making my own, but I'm not the most crafty type. This is wonderful from the smell, to it's amazing slip, to how well it absorbs into my low porosity hair. This past wash day, I sprayed my hair with it but didn't retwist my hair right away. That was 2 days ago. I started retwisting my hair tonight and it was still soft! No knots! The only thing is the size of the bottle. It's not bad, really, but if you have a ton of hair like me, I suggest getting more than 1 bottle. PROS – I an very sensitive to smells and the fragrance wasn't overpowering. CONS – The product becomes sticky once it's on the hair for five minutes. I didn't like how my daughter's hair turned out using this product. I usually add jojoba oil to wet hair (natural) then blow dry then flat iron. I replaced the jojoba oil with this heat protectant. It caused fly always while leaving the hair "puffy". Not sure how to describe but I just threw the entire bottle away.Bernadette

I no longer have extensions, but I continue using this for my natural hair. Every heat protectant I've ever used leaves my hair super dry. This one is the ONLY heat protect product that hasn't dried out my hair. My hair is shiny, soft and not weighed down. Matrix is missing a huge opportunity by not marketing this for natural hair, too.
