This hairpiece is almost perfect. I am considered salt/pepper and that’s what I received. My original hair color was medium brown and as it continues to change, it is more gray and white. The item seems to be well made but will be going back. Unless you have prior experience with this brand and know exactly which shade works for you, be careful. The color swatches are just way too small to know what you're actually getting. My hairdresser says I'm definitely a Dark Blonde, so that's what I ordered. Apparently there's more than one idea on what Dark Blonde is. This is going back, with no interest in playing the exchange game. …..And not for the better. Like other loyal Toni Brattin customers, I too have noticed that the quality of the materials has declined, while the price consistently increases. The wigs are no longer packaged in the signature Toni Brattin box for easy storage, they're in a zip lock bag. But the biggest change is that the fibers used for the "hair" are very soft and lacking texture, and the wigs have less hair, making them difficult for many to style. The cut of the wig is also rather hit and miss, too much or too little hair in various places, and cowlicks in the crown.Fortunately for myself, I'm a licensed hair stylist, so I can handle the problem. Over the years, I've ordered four Trendsetters, And I can see the difference in each one ordered. I got this wig in light gray. It looked so fake. Very little hair. I have a lot of hair, and would like to stop coloring it, so I wanted to get used to the color. I really thought I would like this wig, I played around with it to see if I would change my mind, but No. First of all the dark roots on a medium blonde was too drastic. I thought the roots might be lighter but they were very dark, almost black, it made me look like an unmade bed. I Never have dark roots on my own hair, it makes a person look unkept. The curls were not lose and the wig seemed shorter then the picture. That being said, I sent it back for a refund. Wish these wigs would not all come with such dark roots, why not No roots at all? I had several problems with this wig. At first, I didn't understand what the problem was and then I figured out that the major issue was that it was too big for my head. Also, there's so much hair that it made it look unnatural on me. Another major problem is that the root color on the blonde (I tried light and medium) is much, much, much too dark unless you are a natural dark brunette and you would actually let your roots grow out that long. I will say that other than that, the color shading of the blondes was very nice. I never wore this outside the house because I thought the hair strands looked too much like nylon inside the house and thought they'd really look bad in the sun. There is no curl to this wig as shown in the online photos. It is stick straight so prepare for that. I got red/gold which is more gold than red but is pretty. The roots are very dark so looks like someone with very dark brown hair dyed their hair red/gold and now need to touch it up. The amount of hair is thinner which I like. The bangs are very long and will need trimming unless you want bangs hanging in your face. May or may not keep, on the fence. Sorry Toni! Perhaps I got a bad one; it can happen of course. I like the cap size and color. But, that's all. When I took the wig out of the box, hairs (at least a dozen) went all over the place. I've never had that happen and I own a number of wigs. I know how to put them on and arrange them. This one had a long spiral piece hanging down the front that would do NOTHING but that! Awful..didn't really seem attached in any way it should have been sewn in. Ordered the medium blonde, large size. It looks like a head of great hair on a “good hair day.” The dark roots make the blonde wigs look so realistic. Toni, thank you for adding large sizes to your line. I like this wig because of the 4 1/2 inch bangs. All your other styles have shorter bangs. I have a high forehead and need the longer length bangs. I hope you will bring in more styles with longer bangs, 5 inches plus. Hi, I like the styling of the wig BUT there was a huge problem with the Dark Roots. I had ordered the light blond wig and it matched my hair color perfectly. but at the crown area there are darkish brown roots…This looked really weird. i had seen the presentation on tv and the roots did not appear to be dark brown or i would not have purchased the wig. if they had been medium blond it would not have been a problem i have purchased many of Toni's hair pieces and love them but this was too weird. It probably would work for someone who wouldn't have a problem with light blonde hair with darkish brown roots… maybe if you have the same style of light blonde wig with medium blonde roots i would definitely have purchased it.nannydew
I thought this was so cute, and my first Brattin wig so was hoping for a great wig. The first error may have been mine; Ive always had a kind of large head /hat size so for the first time I ordered the larger size- but even tightened up it is just too loose. Next prob, the wig is soooo shiny! If I were 20 years old maybe I could pass this off as real hair, but nobody has hair this shiny… it reflects light like crazy, drawing attention to it. I ordered the light blonde and even tho it had quite a bit of quite dark in it ( more than the online swatch shows) , I did like the pretty " frosted "color. But the real issue is that there is SO much "BIG HAIR" ! Unexpected! Looks like a furball on my head. Maybe the 70's look is still is style somewhere, but this looks like a Vegas show wig, with huge fly-back swoops that cant be tamed and a permanent flip at the neck in the back. I was able to tame/smooth out the vast number of wild 'wispy flips' all over the back of the head, but nothing can be done with the top and sides due to the style ( the way it's sewn.) Even when flattened down, the peak where the part is stays put, so there remains weird ; POINTED popped-up hair at the top of the head. I LOOK LIKE A CONEHEAD! I kept it for a couple days, with several tries to tame it so I could keep it, but no luck. Back to Hair U Wear brand 'WISPY" I have 3 of that style and they do look very real. Now I'm reluctant to try another Brattin style, if all the hair is this artificially shiny.brendastarshine

Toni definitely has her wig made specifically for her, and styled. I struggled with this wig for 30 minutes to secure it and style it. Gorgeous, just as described. I watched all Toni's presentations and followed her directions. It's important to put the wig on correctly to get the best outcome. I'd like to try more colors. I have had this wig for approximately 6 months and have worn it 4 out of 7 days. I am now noticing the ends at the sides and nape of the neck are fraying, not sure what other word to use, but almost crinkly, like maybe it was heated and it wrinkled up. Very strange. I hate to see this happen because I really liked this wig and didn't expect something like this to happen, but to me, it is very noticeable and doesn't look like hair (maybe doll hair), maybe because it is synethic. This is the reason for only 3 stars. I could cut those ends off, but would make it too short. I'm not sure what I will do. I hate to buy a new wig every 6 months even tho I do have 2 other of Toni's wigs, this was my favorite. So between adjusting to wearing a wig in the first place, which I did adjust to and felt fairly comfortable in, and got tons of compliments, but now this fraying…..Ruthie5

This wig is so cheaply made I can't believe it. First, I have a small head and the wig just does not fit. The ear tabs don't stay even if you use bobby pins, they will be up to the middle of your head. Second, the hair is thinner than my hair in the back. If the wind blew it around people would see the elastic the hair (what little there is) is attached to. Third, there was not a receipt anywhere in or on the box so to return it I have to log onto my computer and print one, I have not looked yet but I assume I can still do that. What about people that do not have computers or printers, you can try to call customer service but I was on hold for almost 2 hours and still just music!! Unless you want to place an order forget talking to QVC. I have read other reviews about not reaching anyone, come on QVC you are better than this. This was probably a cute wig but the sizing tags were unusable so I could not fit the wig to my head. I took it to my hair dresser who advised me that in addition to the sizing problems, the wig I received had been improperly styled as the right side of the rear behind my right ear was nearly cut off as was the left front in front of my left ear. It had been altered or this is a manufacturing defect. Since she could not re place the "hair" that had been removed before it was sent to me, she could not style it or fix the issues. She also told me it was shedding was so badly that she would recommend NEVER washing it and treating it as a costume wig (expect one or two wearings) rather than a real wig that one could wash and wear multiple times. I spent a lot of time trying to reach someone in customer service which apparently QVC no longer offers and will be sending this wig back as DEFECTIVE and MIS-DESCRIBED. QVC did not advise me it was sending a used or returned wig. QVC quality control did not catch an obviously defective wig before sending it to ano9ther customer. NO Cap and no net were in my package.qvciswonderful
Love my new hairstyle. This is a cute angled style and the highlights are stunning. I purchased Glazed Hazelnut, but found the color is more blended than my Raquel Welch's Boost wig that's in the same color. I feel Raquel Welch's wigs have more vibrant colors, but you pay for that. However, I was pleased that the hair feels very real. It's not too shiny so no powdering etc. is needed at all. The shipping was quick, wig came in a nice box wrapped in netting and filled with tissue paper. I am happy that this wig is very light and comfortable on my average-large head. The curls look really natural…like you have naturally curly hair and the style is a fun combination between tame and wild (if that makes sense!) I have probably 20+ wigs and wear them everyday…I got this one because it was totally different from any others I have. I work a very physically demanding job, so I wanted something that was cute but would not tangle or require me to mess with it during my shift. I did wear this out tonight for girls night out with my best friend…I can always count on her to tell me the truth about the basics – does it look natural, is it flattering, and most important, does it look "wiggy"…this one passed with flying colors! The other thing I like was the price…I typically only buy mono-top wigs because they look so natural, but with the curls, it isn't noticeable at all and it keeps the price down. I can definitely see myself buying this in another color!

If you are an everyday wig wearer like I am, then I would not recommend this wig. I wanted to try it because I'd heard that it was similar to Angelica by Noriko but at a lower price point. I also wanted a basic cap/non lace front wig as an alternative to my more expensive Jon Renau wigs. First, let me say that I waited about a week after wearing this wig before writing this review. I ordered the color-walnut brown, which is a really nice warm brunette color with a hint of dark auburn (not highlights but blended together). The length is lovely, and the front doesn't fall on the face as much as the Angelica wigs do. It was nice and soft when I took it out of the box, but after 2 days of daily wear, it started to get really dry and scratchy as if I had been wearing it for months. Keep in mind, I only wear long wigs, so I am aware of all the extra care needed in order to make them last and to keep them in their best shape. A heavy amount of conditioning spray did get the wig feeling softer, but that only lasted a day and then it went right back to being scratchy. I even tried the Silicone spray, but that didn't help either. Also, after the 3rd day of wear, the permatease started to bunch up, making it so that the wig look really awkward on my head.Katherine C.
I ordered this again, as I loved the first one, in silky sand. I just send back second one, with photos, to show how defective it was, requesting postage refund too. It stuck up at the top, like a crew cut, brown roots. Hideous. Not like my first one. Customer service lady ,who SAW the photos, said it was supposed to be like that, to look natural. It was hideous! Defective. They did NOT reimburse me postage, for this very defective product. I am contacting BBB, and NEVER buying from this disreputable company ever again. I really like the pony tail that came in this set. It is shorter and I can wear it low or with a hat. Very cute. Very secure. I ordered Medium Brown and it was a perfect color match to my hair. I don't have a lot of hair and I tried to put the hair twist in….fell right off. I'm guessing I would need a lot more hair that I can wind up into a bun before I can use it. I am going to try to get clever and pin it in or use a hair claw to make it stay, but I don't have high hopes. Not sure how people with pony nubs are suppose to use the twist. Hair piece was not my color so I didn't try them. But I do have one of Toni's curly pony tails. I love it! The only problem is the color. I have more light brown with a lot of gray and the hair piece has more medium brown with very little gray. With the color ranges of hair today I feel comfortable. At 78 I have worn wigs off and on for a long time and this is the first hair piece I feel absolutely comfortable and confident to wear. Please make more gray pieces with accent of brown. I have a few sets of hair clips and consider them a good product. Unfortunately, the last pair ordered arrived with broken teeth in both clips so were returned. I did not receive a return on the shipping fee, however, and do not think this is good customer service. I did not order clips with broken teeth so feel I should not have to pay the initial shipping. Cannot imagine how the teeth could be broken in transit so the product must not have been checked at all during the packaging process. The broken pieces were in with the clips packaging and fell on the floor when plastic bag opened. Will re-order when my color is back in stock because I like the product and will hope for intact combs.Mahtal

It seems that certain products televised are made to look larger in size than what you actually get. This is true for this particular hair piece. The one I received was half the size of what was advertised. The clip was another Major problem; the advertised one was about 2 inches Longer than what I received. I had to use 2 hands to even open it…I am a senior female and have lost strength in my hands so I had great difficulty in trying to put this on. I do not recommend for the senior female.Dpap
It took a few tries before I found the right color but the medium blonde petite pouf is perfect. My only wish would be that the clip opened wider to accommodate my own hair. I first ordered the platinum blonde and light blonde, thinking that the light blonde would be a perfect match. I was shocked to see that the platinum looked almost silver and the light blonde had shades of silver and gray in them. The medium blonde is a truly warm light blonde color and not as dark as you think. I wore this for my daughters wedding as part of an updo and it looked like my shoulder length natural color. I wish Toni Brattin would create a petit pony tail without much curl in it. I also ordered the layered ponytail but I felt it was too much for me. Don't hesitate to try this. I really like the feel of the synthetic hair this topper is made from.. It does not have hair that covers the back completely but there is some there and the color blends with my hair color. I thought I would get this trimmed but my husband said one evening that he really liked the way it looked and to leave it just the way it was. So, I have not trimmed or tried curling it. I am thinking f buying a second one and getting it cut and trimmed.so the sides can be a little shorter but I would buy it again just as it is. Anything that works for me is always appreciated. Online reviewers seem to be avoiding this wig or making a big deal about how much permatease there is in it, so I was a little nervous about ordering it. But it turned out to look really cute on me, and I appreciate how the fullness on top balances out some of my facial features (and my large glasses), while the shag style also gives me some length in back. The melted marshmallow color looks good, too, although the pale tips aren't as obvious as they would be on a straighter, less layered style like Alva or Kai. The dark root does a good job of camouflaging the permatease at the part. The wig is also remarkably light and breathable. I think the fit is just a little on the petite side of average – I'm just over 21.5 inches in circumference with close-shaved hair, and it fits fine without taking in the adjusters. There seems to be a decent amount of stretch if you're larger than me, so it may work for someone up to 22 inches, or someone with more hair than me. I should note that Storm wasn't a true "shake & go" wig out of the box. The ends in back weren't always as flippy as the photos showed, and some of the bangs stuck straight out in front, even after misting with water. I used a steamer on the bangs to get them to lie where I wanted them and will eventually work on the flipped ends in back. I'd be more annoyed at this if I'd paid a lot more money, but I'm willing to accept a certain amount of work on my part for a basic cap at an affordable price point. All in all, I'm quite happy with my purchase, and I would encourage others who may be curious about this wig to check it out. Just be aware that it might not be perfect right out of the box and may need some work to look its best on you (work that should only be performed *after* you've determined you want to keep the wig).Patricia L.
I love this wig. It has great movement in the hair, very realistic. It is comfortable to wear. I can be a tough fit – need the average circumference but some wigs have too much gaping in the back of my head. This one isn't too bad, fits fairly well. The color is fabulous and I have gotten so many compliments on it. The length is perfect. I prefer myself with bangs and this one just meets all the criteria for me. Not bad for 69 on my way to 70 – wearing it makes me look, and feel, younger. I got it in Moonstone and now it seems that color doesn't exit any longer. Looks like Silverstone will be it next time.April B.
I ordered this in creamy toffee rooted after having it in mochachino. Somehow it looked better in the darker color. It's a beautiful wig if you can pin down the sides near the top, reducing the retro looking volume. I think this style is best suited for someone more statuesque. It's cute but it looks dated on me. Possibly just too young of a look at this point. The creamy toffee color though was very nice on this style, a little less gold with more light blonde running through it. That's a big improvement in the color because I've bought this color before and been disappointed with the gold.FAITH b.

…..And not for the better. Like other loyal Toni Brattin customers, I too have noticed that the quality of the materials has declined, while the price consistently increases. The wigs are no longer packaged in the signature Toni Brattin box for easy storage, they're in a zip lock bag. But the biggest change is that the fibers used for the "hair" are very soft and lacking texture, and the wigs have less hair, making them difficult for many to style. The cut of the wig is also rather hit and miss, too much or too little hair in various places, and cowlicks in the crown.Fortunately for myself, I'm a licensed hair stylist, so I can handle the problem. Over the years, I've ordered four Trendsetters, And I can see the difference in each one ordered. As long as this wig is available, I will continue to order as it as the best style for me, but I really wish Toni and her manufacturers would address this issue.2MuchTrouble
My Ist purchase was the brown/gray hairpiece duo and I was impressed by the quality and the exact match to my hair color. Easy to wear. I purchased this style because it is my exact haircut when I wear it short. Beautiful package, black and white box with instructions, wig in a net and the stocking cap. The brown/gray is not an option in this style so the brown/blonde was my next choice. Well, I finally tried it on today and all modesty aside, I look absolutely too die for Cute with a capital C adorable and my picky Virgo husband just freaked out in a very good way. The color is incredible, the hair looks exactly like my real hair at every angle. It is pretty easy to put on too. I suffer from overheating and l left it on for around 2 hours at home in AC but in Miami, and forgot I had it on. The stocking cap is not for me so I pinned my shoulder length bob and on the first try l looked as if I had stepped out of the salon. This Cuban 65 year old lady is beyond pleased. I got this wig in light gray. It looked so fake. Very little hair. I have a lot of hair, and would like to stop coloring it, so I wanted to get used to the color. Well, it had half of the amount of hair I have. It felt super fake, like nylon fibers; it didn’t move like natural hair. It obviously look like a wig. Absolutely awful. I’m pretty sure that some wigs I saw on the big online retailer for less than $20, look and feel better than this. Extremely overpriced. Then I remembered that some years ago I had ordered something similar and had returned it because of the same reason. I didn’t learn that time, now I did. I am delighted to see Toni do a "fall" hairpiece. I used to wear them back in the day with ease. I've learned through mistakes that I'm definitely not a wig person (I have always returned them), but a fall is a different story entirely! I have medium length dark brown hair and this piece in dark brown matches perfectly. I can't even see where it begins and my own hair ends! I've just begun noticing that dreaded thinning at the top of the head that I have to fuss with, this is the ideal answer. Easy peasy to hide the line of demarcation with just a bit of your own hair and a short spurt of spray. And the four clips work so well (I was afraid with thin hair they might not grip…but no worries there!) I will have it shortened just a wee bit to perfectly match my own length but, other than that, it's perfect. I know I'll put it to good use and feel confident as it is virtually undetectable! This piece at first just layed in my drawer because I had trouble blending it with my spare hair. Then I got a brilliant idea after spending WAY too much on a pony tail wig. I figured out how to put this piece on, with a headband to hide the front, and then pull up the piece with my own hair into a high pony or bun! Looks amazingly natural and cute! I was very excited to order this hair piece, however, it is too full and too long for me (will return it). I feel that someone looking at me would know it is a fall. I felt like when I wore a fall with a thick headband back in high school in the late 60s. I also have fine, thin hair and it was a lot of hair to comb over in the front. The color (dark blonde) matched exactly, as usual. The quality of the hair is excellent and so natural. I know that Toni says you can have a hairdresser cut or trim it, but paying that much, I would be afraid to take a chance. I tried her wigs a few other times and they always seem to be "so much hair." Toni says to wear it out to get used to it but I just can't. I tried in front of my husband and he just laughed and said to "take it off" (he doesn't say that about the hairpieces, which I have been wearing for over 10 years). He is the type that usually says nothing about anything I wear, even if I solicit an opinion (married 39 years…maybe it's time!). I wear all of her pieces and no one seems the wiser. They all say, "I love your hair that way!" Toni can put on anything and make it look good….I am pretty good with the hairpieces and up-dos. I received it and arranged and put it on my head. I'm 78 years old and due to medication following a massive stroke 14 years ago, I have very little hair on top of my head. I think I looked adorable with those bangs. I don't think I've looked adorable in the last 30 years. But, there is a terrible problem with this piece. It has too much hair, and is too heavy. It is a topper, but has so much excess hair all around. I tried to push the har behind my ears. To much heavy hair. It wouldn't stay any place I put it. I would love for you to let someone know to remake it with less hair. The part on the top sits well, and so do the bangs, althought they could also be more whispy rather than heavy. Bottom line is I really need a topper with less hair in addition to the topper piece. I hope it can be done.Myra W
I like others was disappointed in my light grey topper. The color was not the same as my toni brattin wig in light grey that matched my hair. It had a warm color with too much brown instead of a silvery white. Plus being elderly with arthritic fingers the clips were very hard to close and open and almost impossible for me to place it on my head correctly. A neighbor could do it for me – but that is not helpful to me. Sorry I had to return it. If you can manage it and get the correct color I think this would be great.whydoweneedone
I received two of these in 2 brown shades (Not sure which shade would work for me) and they are so shiny that there is no way anyone would think it was my hair! Sending back immediately!! Sorry I even ordered them! I should have waited to read others reviews about how shiny they are! Now I have to pay to return them! Can't QVC find a manufacturer that can produce a hair piece that looks real? I did like the style with the center part since I wear a center part and that is the only thing that would make it look real for me!ladybugpat
