Here's my honest review: I got this shampoo from Top Box Circle and as soon as the package arrived home I was so excited to try it out because I've never used a hair product with Argan oil and always wanted to give it a go as Argan oil has done wonders for my skin in the past. I was really taken aback when I first used this shampoo because my hair felt really sticky and oily which was very disappointing. The next day after washing my hair it looked so dirty so I had to rewash my hair with another shampoo. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week because I lose a lot of hair but this shampoo forces me to wash my hair more than 3 times a week which just wouldn't work and for those reasons, I won't be purchasing this particular shampoo in the future. The new formulation has left my scalp itching like crazy. It has left a residue in my hair that completely defeats the purpose of a shampoo. The original formula was my holy grail. Left my hair clean without stripping it and making it feel like straw unlike other clean shampoos. This new formula is now not only clean (contains phenoxyethanol), it is ineffective and makes my hair and scalp feel horrible after just one use. I'm grateful for the opportunity to review this product. I first used this product whenbi was transitioning over 4 years ago, and now I'm finally using it again. I love this brand for being safe and free from harmful chemicals/ substances that can be damaging. A small amount can give a good lather but i found this shampoo to not be that moisturizing. Also my hair was felt very stripped! I feel like this product is lacking. If shea was higher up on the ingredient list or there was more oils, then the product would suit coily kinky hair like mine. I don't really recommend this for people with hair like type 3 or 4, but for people with type 1 or 2 hair that don't use oils…this would be a clean alt to use.Quita

I have been using the Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo for a month now. I really like the coconut scent, it lathers really well and I was very pleased that a little goes a long way as I have very long and thick hair. I wash my hair every 3rd day, but I wet my hair and condition it every day. I have been using the Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Conditioner the 2nd day. I always use leave in conditioner but that day I had to use double the amount of what I normally use. Otherwise my hair felt & looked dry & frizzy. The product definitely did help with detangling my hair, not totally, but to a great enough degree where I was pleased. I didn’t notice any improvement in shine though. I was hoping to experience much more of an overall difference from all the various products I have used in the past. No huge noticeable difference, and more expensive than what I currently use. I love that Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo contain no silicones, parabens, no phathalates, no petrolatum & no mineral oil. Thankful to have found and purchased this amazing shampoo. My desire to nourish and manage my natural 4C porosity hair came with a challenge. However, I remembered, that I purchased this shampoo and matching hair masque. However, for the information on Hair Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque, the page is unavailable. My budget is tight at the moment, but I usually save up for what I need. I need the Hair Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque. Therefore, to increase the benefits to my damaged hair I gathered a portion of the Curl and Shine Hair Masque and combined it with a hint of tea tree oil, fresh rosemary water, rose water, and peppermint oil. Leaving in my hair for 30 minutes. My hair texture is incredibly moist. I shall continue this mixture until I am able to locate and purchase the High Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque, which I already know is perfect for the restoration of my hair. The chemical perm greatly damaged my hair, thinned my hair, and broke my hair off in places. After two years of studying Cosmetology without desiring to work in this field, I have learned valuable new detailed information about hair on my own. So I really enjoyed using the product on both my baby girl and my own hair. Because we have very very different hair types, I noticed some important things. She has a healthy head of very fine, very varied coil curls. The shampoo worked great on very wet hair, it lathered well for a clarifying shampoo without turning her hair into dry grass. I rinsed twice to make sure the water ran well and clear. The conditioner was light and moisturizing, as promoted. I took the time to work it into all strands while damp to slightly wet with a curly hair wet brush. Afterward rinsing the conditioner lightly, I put in the styling cream. Here I realized I'd put in way too much, but the effect was still very good. Her curls were less prone to tangling, moisturized and made beautiful defined coils. My hair is fine but wavy, not curly. However my hair is super dry. I like using heavily moisturizing products from time to time to feed my hair. The products were too heavy for fine straighter hair, but it really moisturized heavily. My hair has a healthy strong feel and a beautiful glisten that it has after a moisturizing hair mask. Overall, on straighter finer hair, I'd say use the conditioner thoroughly but rinse very well and easy on the styling cream. I didn't experience any waxiness anywhere.Thali22

i never write reviews for anything but holy cow this quite literally saved my hair. for reference i have a mix of 2b, 2c, and 3a hair due to years of coloring and heat damage. i have quite a bit of hair and it's thick, low porosity, and protein sensitive. no matter what "hydrating" products i've used my hair has always felt dry and never absorbed anything i put in it. i got my colored red hair retouched recently and not quite sure what my stylist used to treat my hair this time around but it came out sooo dry and brittle. after some research and finding out more about my hair type i decided to try this plus the conditioner that goes with it. and wow is all i have to say. i've never had hair this soft straight out the shower and it's so easy to comb through now. curls i thought were lost forever returned. i'm also noticing less hair fallout probably from my hair not being so tangled anymore. this shampoo cleanses really well without stripping my hair and it just overall transformed the look and feel of my hair. 10/10 recommend if you have a similar hair typepia

It is not watered down nor is it very thin, it comes out smoothly and I only need a small amount to thoroughly clean my hair. I like the way my hair feels afterwards and the very nice smell. I have wavy/curly hair that is dense and fine. I don’t use heat (and cover my hair in the sun, even) and often like to wash and go. I’ve been told by hair stylists that I have low porosity hair. It’s hard to find a good shampoo and conditioner that does it for me. I use this as a prewash in conjunction with another brand Refresh sea salt and mineral shampoo and conditioner, as I believe I have folliculitis (acquired from a salon). I wash and conditioner my hair now only 2 times a week using luke warm water to rinse and throughout the rest of the week I only rinse my hair with water. I have been using both products for the last 3 months or so and have seen amazing results! I still have some light outbreaks like maybe once a month but I do believe my scalp is still in the healing process. Shea moisture was a product I gravitated to when I first started my natural hair journey. Your original formula was great! Magical, even. Why in the world would you change something that seriously exceeded all expectations? I discovered Shea Moisture 7 years ago, when my son's scalp psoriasis had become so out of control, nothing was working, & we were desperate for a solution. So I bought this product & was pleasantly surprised to see the thick plaques on his head begin to clear up after just one use. Nothing has ever worked better! Fast forward to no longer being able to find the product anywhere for quite some time, then it suddenly reappearing with slightly different labeling. So, I read the label…. & no. I am a licensed hairstylist, who pays very close attention to the ingredients in the products I use & recommend. Receiving this product around the same time I just brought a wig which was perfect. After I wash the wig I sprayed the wig not reading the directions before hand that a little goes a long way, since I sprayed too much and had to rewash it because it was too oily. After I installed the wig I use the product to keep the hair looking shiny. But the wig seem kinda worn out even tho I only had it in for a few days and only using the spray at night. I normally wear my hair natural and wanted to switch it up, so this product isn’t something I’ll use frequently. I mean when I decide to put a wig on or maybe braids I’ll try the spray again. kori.r

I’ve been wearing wigs for the past two months. Where has this product been all my life? First, I used this product on my synthetic barrel curls wig. A couple of sprays and you have a new wig! No more throwing out synthetic wigs after the life time for use runs out. The big barrel curls moved bk in place with no need for me to recurl. I just spray, fluff, and go. My long human hair curly wig held up well when this product was applied before I went out in Florida’s humility and rain. For the first time I didn’t look like a Chia Pet. This is the first time I've used SheaMoisture products, I like that they have fewer harsh chemicals than most brands. I purchased both the color protect shampoo and conditioner and I've only used them a handful of times so I can't speak of their effectiveness at preserving color. I can say this is one of the worst shampoos I've ever used, after five minutes of rinsing I could still feel it in my hair. It just won't rinse out. I only use a lightweight hairspray to keep my flyaways in order, but then I wont shampoo again for another day. This routine works normally with any shampoo, but it doesn't work with this. I received this as a #freeproduct through #trywithtopbox, but this review is 100% my honest opinion. I have fine 2A/2B hair that is coloured/bleached. I really struggle to find conditioning products that are repairing and hydrating for the colour, but not too heavy for my fine hair. Most conditioners really weigh my hair down and make it oily. I didn’t have that experience with the SM manuka honey and yogurt conditioner! First off – the scent is lightweight and really nice. It smells exactly like honey, but isn’t too sweet. The formula is hydrating but not heavy. It’s a thinner consistency than a lot of other repairing conditioners, which worked really well for me. I use one pump from the nape of my neck to my ends and let it sit for a few mins before washing out with cold(ish) water. I don’t believe that long term results can be identified without using the entire bottle, but I will say that my hair has been shinier, easier to detangle after washing, and less frizz since starting to use this product. The ends of my hair are usually the driest, and they seem to be less damaged and have less obvious split ends. I would absolutely continue to use this product, and will rebuy! The only thing I didn’t love is the packaging – the pump on my bottle didn’t really work, and had a hard time getting any amount of product out. I don’t know if it was just mt bottle or a design flaw, but I ended up switching the pump with another bottles I have with a thicker tube, and have not had any problems since.RoseyB37
The manuka honey and yogurt conditioner really helped to detangle and condition my hair. It is formulated with key ingredients of fair-trade shea butter, mafura oil, baobab oil, honey, and yogurt extract. It has a slightly less thick texture than the hair treatment from the same line. This makes it easier to spread evenly onto hair strands. This conditioner doesn't leave my hair feeling oily or weighted down. It doesn't leave a film like feel on the hair. I noticed my hair felt overall healthier and more conditioned than before use. I found that it was much easier to detangle and rinse out than other conditioners that I have tried. My hair felt smooth and silky whenever I used it. I really liked that the packaging includes a pump. I find that it's much easier and convenient to get the product out. I've previously used other products from SheaMoisture's haircare line, so was familiar with their products and the fact that they feature a lot of more "natural" ingredients than other mainstream drugstore brands. With the harsh, drying winter weather that we've already started to have, I'm always looking for ways to keep my hair moisturized and looking healthy. This line of the manuka honey and yogurt products is fantastic for hair that tends to be drier, frizzier, and brittle in the cold. To start, it contains shea butter, glycerin, honey, and a number of other plant oils and extracts, within its ingredient list (which is much shorter than other brands!). The texture is nice and thick, and it feels moisturizing immediately after rinsing it off. The scent is probably best described as shea butter and honey, and is really non-offensive and not at all overpowering. I found that even though the cold weather so far has actually been quite humid, my hair hasn't been frizzing out as much since using this. It's been very good at retaining its sleekness, post-styling, while out and about on my commute to work. Previously, I was using a different brand and by the time I reached my office, all semblance of hairstyling was gone and my hair was a giant pouf. I also love that the brand's conditioners come in a pump bottle – it's so much easier to handle while in the shower. I love this this product! Finally something that does NOT make my hair more frizzy, crunchy, dry or greasy. I have fine to medium curly long hair, I am of Eastern European descent. I just use a very small amount like directions advised, worked it into my wet hair, scrunched it with my hands and let air dry. My hair is sooo soft, no frizz and my curls are defined. I have been searching for a natural product without chemicals that actually works. I love it! It also has a tropical fragrance that is not overwhelming and smells so good! I found this product yearssss ago when I first started the Curly Girl Method. It was very runny, white and much lighter. I ended up repurchasing it and when I opened it, it is incredibly yellow and thick and the ingredient list is completely different. I don't use it everyday to care but in general, Shea Moisture was my Go To absolutely favorite brand and I used their shampoo and conditioner for about 8 years- but I noticed it a couple of months ago stripped my hair and caused an insane amount of frizz. What a shame. I will never buy another Shea Moisture product. They used to have amazing ingredients, now they have all weird chemicals and the smells changed badly. I received the Shea Moisture – Sugarcane Extract & Meadowfoam Seed – Miracle Multi-Benefit Conditioner with Marshmallow Root from @TopBox and I am impressed! I have never used the Shea moisture line before receiving these products to test, and I am pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the lovely and unique fragrance of the conditioner – it feels like you’re in a field of flowers! The conditioner is silicone, sulfate, Paraben, phthalates free with no mineral oil or petrolatum used – granted I don’t know what all of them are – I know that most of those are NOT good for your hair. I have been using this Shea Moisture Sugarcane Extract & Meadowfoam seed miracle multi benefit Shampoo for 3 weeks now! I have noticed that my dry and frizzy hairs have become smooth and softer week by week!!! I used to apply hair serum without which my frizz doesn't go, but now I don't need that anymore since my hairs feels so fresh and silky! The fragrance is really nice and unique. I was able to try this product in exchange for review, which I was thrilled about as I have always wanted to try this particular Shea Moisture line. I have heavily highlighted and have attacked it quite regularly with hot tools. Add in pandemic self-done haircuts, my hair has been feeling rather dry and brittle. After two weeks of using this shampoo, twice a week, My hair feels moisturised but perhaps a little too much so. For my particular hair, I cannot use this is my go-to shampoo, but more as a twice a month or so treatment shampoo. The texture is not like any I have tried before, it is a semi-viscus liquid that pours out like a watery honey, not at all like a standard shampoo, so pay attention in the shower! The smell is a comforting warm vanilla. For my hair this product is a little too moisturising to use with every wash, but if you have coarser hair than mine, I definitely say give it a whirl. I ordered this for the last 2 years on and off and never had the experience I had this last bottle I received. The usual appearance of this product is very dark brown so I didn’t even SEE There were thick CHUNKS of what looks like mold?? Or i don’t even know what ?? The product separating ???? I don’t freaking know. I used it without realizing it looked like that because my shower light is currently broken I looked down because the texture get off to see what poured into my hand and immediately started washing it out of my hair but now I am losing hair and have patches of what I can only assume is chemical burns!!?? I’ve never had this happen with any hair products ever!! I attempted to return this and the lady at the counter had to makeshift the return on a GIFT CARD stating my order couldn’t even be found ????? Basically returned it not using a receipt. I wear a lot of synthetic wigs, and after a certain amount of time they look like road kill. It’s sadly just the nature of the beast. I’ve tried the tradition blue wig shampoo that’s been in beauty supply stores since the dawn of time, and while it does clean my wigs it just doesn’t give them life again. The Shea Moisture wig shampoo however changed the game for me! Not only did it do a beautiful job with cleaning the wig I tried it out on, but it also kept the body in the curls I had put in it. I actually really like the Tea Tree Borage seed oil Residue remover shampoo. It really cleanse your hair of all the dirt and residue, especially if you had braids, sew in or any protective hair styles. After you’ve taken it out, this shampoo really helps to take out all the residue and dirt from your hair without making it dry. The smell is not over bearing or anything. It smells like green tea. I received this as a #freeproduct through #trywithtopbox, but this review is 100% my honest opinion. I have fine 2A/2B hair that is coloured/bleached. I really struggle to find conditioning products that are repairing and hydrating for the colour, but not too heavy for my fine hair. Most conditioners really weigh my hair down and make it oily. I didn’t have that experience with the SM manuka honey and yogurt conditioner! First off – the scent is lightweight and really nice. It smells exactly like honey, but isn’t too sweet. The formula is hydrating but not heavy. It’s a thinner consistency than a lot of other repairing conditioners, which worked really well for me. I use one pump from the nape of my neck to my ends and let it sit for a few mins before washing out with cold(ish) water. I don’t believe that long term results can be identified without using the entire bottle, but I will say that my hair has been shinier, easier to detangle after washing, and less frizz since starting to use this product. The ends of my hair are usually the driest, and they seem to be less damaged and have less obvious split ends. I would absolutely continue to use this product, and will rebuy! The only thing I didn’t love is the packaging – the pump on my bottle didn’t really work, and had a hard time getting any amount of product out. I don’t know if it was just mt bottle or a design flaw, but I ended up switching the pump with another bottles I have with a thicker tube, and have not had any problems since.RoseyB37
The manuka honey and yogurt conditioner really helped to detangle and condition my hair. It is formulated with key ingredients of fair-trade shea butter, mafura oil, baobab oil, honey, and yogurt extract. It has a slightly less thick texture than the hair treatment from the same line. This makes it easier to spread evenly onto hair strands. This conditioner doesn't leave my hair feeling oily or weighted down. It doesn't leave a film like feel on the hair. I noticed my hair felt overall healthier and more conditioned than before use. I found that it was much easier to detangle and rinse out than other conditioners that I have tried. My hair felt smooth and silky whenever I used it. I really liked that the packaging includes a pump. I find that it's much easier and convenient to get the product out. I've previously used other products from SheaMoisture's haircare line, so was familiar with their products and the fact that they feature a lot of more "natural" ingredients than other mainstream drugstore brands. With the harsh, drying winter weather that we've already started to have, I'm always looking for ways to keep my hair moisturized and looking healthy. This line of the manuka honey and yogurt products is fantastic for hair that tends to be drier, frizzier, and brittle in the cold. To start, it contains shea butter, glycerin, honey, and a number of other plant oils and extracts, within its ingredient list (which is much shorter than other brands!). The texture is nice and thick, and it feels moisturizing immediately after rinsing it off. The scent is probably best described as shea butter and honey, and is really non-offensive and not at all overpowering. I found that even though the cold weather so far has actually been quite humid, my hair hasn't been frizzing out as much since using this. It's been very good at retaining its sleekness, post-styling, while out and about on my commute to work. Previously, I was using a different brand and by the time I reached my office, all semblance of hairstyling was gone and my hair was a giant pouf. I also love that the brand's conditioners come in a pump bottle – it's so much easier to handle while in the shower.
