Cheap thin metal earrings that I wouldn't wear in public and intact they are clip on that made there way to the kids dress up stuff. I ordered two of these wig styles. I wore the gray one to a mother's day brunch. As I was standing by my car, a lady called out Madia as she was passing by in her car. She thought I looked like the Tyler Perry character. I will never wear that wig again. The black one was designed with way too much hair. The hair does not fall correctly and it has too many layers. I was so excited to receive this and try something new. I've been wearing Reese and Sky for a few years now, but wanted to switch it up a bit. I was so disappointed when I saw this. First, it looked like doll hair and the color was AWFUL! I normally wear either Irish Spice or Bronzed Brown. I ordered R3025S+ this time for a "highlighted" look, boy was I wrong. It looked like carrot orange. Well, lesson learned, stick with old faithful.Catherine I.
I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I’m so happy I didn’t let the bad reviews discourage me. She’s a cute, sassy wig!jnut
I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Sorry for the long post. This wig is really nice and the hair with the rooted color looks just like real hair. I got the pecan delight rooted, it’s a dark brown root color with medium/light golden brown hair with some subtle golden blonde highlights blended in. Very close match to my real hair. Warning I did purchase another wig in pecan delight without the rooting and it just comes off too light, like a very light golden brown. Without the rooting I would go to the next shade darker or maybe even two. I did have two issues with the wig. They won’t stop me from buying another one. The first is that the wig I got was longer in length by a few inches and bulkier, a lot more hair, than in the photos. I did have to give the wig a trim and I did thin it out with thinning shears and it’s perfect. The second issue, which I know I played a huge contributing factor too, is that after fixing the wig to my liking, the ends are already dried out and frizzy. I did get rid of about 75% of that appearance out of the wig. I gently hand washed it and pat dried it just little so it wasn’t soaking wet. Gently combed it out with a wide toothed combed. Starting at the ends, I applied It’s a 10 leave in conditioner with a couple drops of a silicone based heat protection. I then lightly sprayed the wig with a coconut oil heat protectant spray. Gently combed through again and air dried it overnight on the open wire wig stand. I was amazed at the difference and it is holding up nicely.Debra
I wanted to love this wig but the only thing I did love was the color, Buttered Toast. I had searched for a mid length wavy wig and thot I had found it but sadly I just couldn’t get it to work. The back has tight curls but the sides were looser and the left side bangs were so long that I couldn’t do anything with it . I finally did clip it back but it just didn’t look right. I have ordered several wigs from Paula Young & have been totally satisfied! The customer service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable! I have to admit, The Sheer Drama wig that I received a couple weeks ago or less, was my first disappointment. The cap is so sheer, that you can see dark hand tied knots a lot through the top. The wig color is Platinum 101. The dark knots actually made me squeamish! They looked like it had lice throughout it!! This would be a good wig for someone who is not new to wearing wigs. Straight out of the box the wig had a strong plastic like smell. After washing the smell was much less, but still there. Hoping this will fade with time. I have a large head but took a chance and ordered this anyway (average size). It fits very comfortably. The description says ""100% hand tied"". It is not. The top half is hand tied, the bottom half is sewn wefts. The hair is thick enough to be styled in a messy updo. The hand tied knots,on the top, are not bleached. If you order a medium to dark color it shouldn't be a big problem. If you are a light color you will need to camouflage them. This is not a lace front. There is a fabric band across the hairline that will make styling challenging. This would be a very comfortable wig if you had little to no hair. If you are willing to spend time working with your wig this could be a good choice for you.Raven
This is my first wig. I did my research, and chose Sheer Drama. I lov the waves and style My hair is long but falling out. I live in South Florida so my hair does not keep any curl in the humidity . Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita
I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve

After I received my order it was apparent that the color was just not a good one for me. I had ordered two wigs, both the same color and found that in person they were just very fake and not a natural look at all. I sent them back and then after reading the instruction found that over half the amount I paid for them was to be deducted due to the various charges they put on returns. I am very upset at this change in policy and cannot see myself using Paula Young Wigs in the future. I have been a faithful customer for over 15 years, so sorry, not anymore.Carol
A few months ago, I ordered the "Alex" wig. I love it! I ordered a second one so that I would always have it ready. While the first one was – and stil is – perfect, the second one is straggly and sloppy looking. When I first took it out of the box and followed directions (shaking, etc,) it looked ok. I put it aside til I could get a styrofoam head. Once I put it on that, it showed itself. I cannot wear it. I have not worn it. Unfortunately, I did take the tag off when I thought it was going to be ok. Please take it back and send me one that looks like the first one.Rosemary
I received the wig in a couple of weeks of ordering..I tried it on but it kept slipping off my head. The velcro tapes were set to the tightest setting. I took the wig to my hairdresser thinking it should be cut as the style was so weird.. She told me to wash it first in fairly hot water so some of the crushing from shipping would come out.. Seriously after wearing it for 30 seconds it looked like I was a cone head!! The inside just above the bangs there is a circle of heavy knit capping.. Not the stretch lace like the rest of the wig liner is made from…This is advertised as a whisper lite wig?…My head dripped with sweat in a few minutes as it just does not breathe the same as my other wigs? My hairdresser suggested it not be cut but to somehow get it made smaller. I have Alopecia so have bought and worn wigs for some years. I have always had wigs come with a stretchy lace type liner with metal adjustable clips on the elastic straps. I live in Canada so not an option to return the wig with the high postage, tax paid and the exchange rate…. So I bought some crazy glue to cinch up the elastic tapes making them shorter.. that was a total mess as the glue did not adhere the same as my other many wigs have done when the elastic stretched out.. I then pinched the material together to sew it on each side to tighten to fit my head.. I have always worn an average size wig… This one with that hard thick cone or dome inside was something else!!! Why did I take the added expense of a hairdresser as well as buying the glue?? The color of the wig and the style now that I have the cap fitting properly suits me to no end!! I look stunning in it and it looks like my own hair. My hairdresser says it does not look at all like a wig….So I made all of these compromises! I suggest that they make this Wig in all sizes so we don't have to glue or sew our fingers trying to make them smaller than Average. I suggest that the Deluxe Soft Touch Grip be sold in a smaller size as wellBrenda

Beautiful is the compliments I get when I wear this one!! It's one of my favorites. I am hooked on the Jaclyn Smith wigs because they are so much more softer feeling than any of the whisperlite wigs. This one has a ton of hair on which made it feel heavier. But once I took a pair of thinning shears to it, it felt so much lighter yet still have that fullness to it. It's a very nice wig. And from now on I will only buy the Jaclyn Smith brand. Until I win the lottery anyways lol. I just ordered my 1st human hair wig, but not from here. They are more expensive here. Thanks to the experienced experts on YouTube, I am Learning more and more about wigs, on how to's of washing them to keeping them kept in sealed bags to thinning them out. I ain't rich and I don't have a hair stylist near me who is willing to cut them , so I have to learn how to take care of them by those ladies on YouTube who have years and years of experience and don't mind sharing their advice (free of charge) to newbies like me. Have bought 10 wigs now, to hold me while my hair (hopefully) grows back after a crash diet and stress. This is probably my least favorite, and that includes cheapies on Amazon that pleasantly surprised me. My head is small, between petite and average, but I always wear average. Head is short, so wigs always look longer on my than in the pic. This one, oddly enough, it toooo tight. it pulls up drastically in the back, with or without a wig cap, and pulls on my ear. (If I don't pull it over the ears, it's poofy, like it's just sitting on top of my head and about to fall off.) It's off on one side so that it pulls up on that side more. Yes, the bangs are too thick — the whole wig's too thick. Had to do my best to thin out from underneath (live rural, without stylists around), which, of course, considering the material, left tiny hairs sticking up, although I tried to just thin the bottom layers. Actually, little hairs stand up on it from brushing against the back of a chair or just from wearing. Constantly have to clip them off. The color is carrot red, and with this long and loose style and thickness, it's more obvious than in other styles. I expected reddish brown, but this is almost strawberry. So all in all, I'm happier with my others. This is wearable, but I stopped thinning without doing the bangs (bad enough having those little hairs all over elsewhere), and the top still looks ""wig-poofy."" When I run my hands over it, it feels rough, from all the little hairs. Plus, had to completely undo the tabs to make it stay down…and the tabs had tons of hair stuck to them and coming through the web to the outside that was impossible to pull out and correct, so had to just cut it so it wouldn't keep getting stuck to the Velcro. More acceptable if it was a $49 dollar one, but esp not for $79. Have had better luck with others, so will be ordering again, a different style (not J.S. Sunset fits nice. I wear a wig band for security. I love love love this silver color . It blends nice from dark to light. The bangs need tweaking so I’m trying. This was my first wig, and I now own 4 of this style! I have my own hair. It is naturally curly and I can no longer style it because of health reasons. THIS is the style I've always wanted/worked for in my blowouts followed by curling iron! I first bought it in a monochrome color (hazelnut) and didn't think it was as naturally looking as I would have liked. I then got three rooted (hazelnut and honeyed toast x 2) and absolutely loved them! Have received many compliments. I'm not positive this size is the best for me (I was remote teaching so little risk) but may size up as I "go live". I also saw slight differences in how each of my four ladies were styled! I like this wig. I am returning it, but I like it. I got this in color GL14-22SS which is supposed to be a sandy blond with darker roots. As you can see from the pictures there really is no difference between the roots and the hair, and it is all really light colored for me. I will be getting a new one in a darker color like GL16-27SS. My other mild complaint is that for some reason the ear area fits a little weird on me, though I have a petite head. It's like the ears are slightly too high, and even when I loosened the elastic it didn't help much. Very minor, which is why I'm willing to try this is a different color.Brittany
Soft & Subtle in GL 6-30 was my first foray into beachy waves, and I love her! There's a little bit of permatease at the top, but not much, so she doesn't seem too "wiggy" for me. I wish that the curls were a bit more structured – I wouldn't necessarily wear her for a special occasion – but she's great for an unfussy, casual look. She comes across as very natural, as if I'd just stepped out of the shower and I had wavy hair that just dried that way, so I feel comfortable wearing her for day-to-day activities. I have a 21.75-inch circumference, and the petite-average fits well with just a little extra room at the crown; an average-large would definitely have been too large for me. Overall, I think she's a great everyday style for someone who is seeking a relaxed, informal look and wants to experiment with something wavy at a reasonable price point (especially with discounts).Patricia L.

I’ve bought this wig numerous times. I say numerous because I absolutely love the style! Very flattering, realistic, and I always receive compliments on my hair. However, this wig only lasts for about a weeks worth of wear before the ends get frizzy. Wish they made it in a human hair form.
