I first decided to purchase a wig when a hair cut gone wrong left me looking like Opie Taylor. I definitely did not want what the look the ladies in my mother's "retirement" community had! I wanted to have hair that I had in high school, many many eons ago, the thick healthy hair. I started researching wigs and liked the idea of human hair, but still had trepidation that I would spend that much still I'd look as if I had someone else's hair on my head. I went into a local beauty supply and the girl at the counter had the most gorgeous hair. We chatted about wigs and she said she was wearing a Vivica Fox wig Now! It looked great and so natural, but then again, she was maybe 25 years old. They didn't have wigs in the store so I went home and Googled Vivica Fox. I saw the pic of the "Brie" wig and thought, yes, that's It! The lowest price was here at VogueWigs so I clicked, went in and found even the color I wanted! I took a deep breath and hit order and have not been happier Since! The Brie is soft, moves like hair, not stiff or hair sprayed looking. You can curl it, wash it, and even sleep with it on without pain! I absolutely love this wig and now that I've taken the wig plunge, I've ordered several more Vivica Fox styles. This truly will not disappointed, and with the variegated colors it's almost a guarantee that it matches You!
Wigs are a new thing for me as I've come to terms that I have to live with hair loss due to nothing that the doctors I've gone to can find. They say it's menopause–which I started ten years ago. Anyway the length of the hair that I still have is about the same length at the Brie wig. The reviews and the photos of the women wearing the wig were enough for me to order. Girls–you look marvelous! I received this today and straight out of the box I plopped it on my head. Nothing except for a bit of a trim on the bangs was needed. I haven't had time to "play" with my Brie yet and position her just so but I don't think I'll need to. There is a wonderful amount of volume in this wig. It's a tad shiny but I'll fix that with dry shampoo. It really looks great and I'm looking forward to much confidence while wearing. Would I reorder? Yes. Definitely. so far, I've tried three wigs from this site (for reference, one was $100 more than Rylee, and one was $100 less). Rylee is my favorite — I bought the ginger-brown to try and match my natural color and previous wigs. this color was exactly as expected. plus, the cap fit and adjusted well so that the hairline looks natural even after weeks of everyday wear. it does shed, but so has every wig I've bought. plus, despite that shedding is annoying in terms of "cleaning" up the mess, it doesn't really take away from how real the wig looks. any fraying at the ends can be offset by a trim (I did this myself!), since Rylee has the upside of longer hair. As a first time wig buyer, my remarks will no doubt have those of you more experienced rolling your eyes. Firstly, this is not a "take from box, shake out, put on your head and go wig." I had to work with it quite a bit and I'm still not quite satisfied with the style. The color is lovely, the fit is good. The straw-like texture of the hair is a little disappointing, especially around the face. I believe it has possibilities and I am going to keep it. Felicity is simply a great all around girl! The fibers are not too shiny, realistic and comb out easily. It's a no frills cap, that would fit an average, however because my head is petite, I take her in, to remove the bulk. One does however have to really work with obscuring the permatease. But the more you move the fibers around, it's great. I love wearing mine in a twisted updo. I do trim the length, but that's my personal preference as I have a petite face. It is super easy to style with a straightener, curling iron and even hot rollers. I have had these over a year and wear them every day. This is a lovely wig. The hair is soft and silky and there's something about the thickness of it and the way it falls that feels so luxurious. I bought it in the color FS1B-33, and it's stunning looking. The highlight effect of the 33 gives it gorgeous depth. It doesn't appear quite so "stripey" as it does in the photo when you click on this color. It's a much more subtle blend. It looks natural and yet also better than natural! The bangs are slightly longer than I need, but that's never a problem. I'll just give them a light trim. It's a very comfortable wig. I wanted this wig because of the style and color that was on the model. I even called Vougewigs to ask about the color and was told that it was the color of the one on the model. so I ordered it. When it came in a clear plastic bag I could see the color with out taking it out. It was not even close to the color on the model. It was brown with silver tips. Bought this in shade 2 and couldn’t be happier!! This is my first EVER wig purchase and I’ve only been wearing it a week but I’ve gotten SO many compliments about how youthful it is and how natural it looks. The online picture is completely brushed out so if you wash and let it air dry it’s actually curlier. Started drastically losing my hair about 8 months ago and tried everything. It finally got so bad that I needed to look into alternatives so I visited a couple local wig shops and was shocked when they wanted to charge $200 to $400 just for a partial clip in!! I would have given it a 5. The reason I didn't was because the cap was too small on my medium to large head. I ordered two. One in Natural and the other was color 1. The color #1 was larger and the one that I prefer. To its credit, the hair on this unit is absolutely gorgeous. It feels like velvet, has a healthy shine, and it is just the right thickness. If you have a smaller head, you will really enjoy this beautiful wigLyn N.
The outer box is very appealing which for me makes it even more exciting to open. The hair smells like plastic but thats easily rectified by exposure to the air. I give it a shake adjust the elastic tension and secure it over my wig cap. It looks great, more curly than wavy though which is ok. Shipping was timely. This wig can do no wrong. I have bought a lot of wigs and I must say that this is my favorite. I ordered the "Natural" color which is the natural, untreated color ofnthe donor. The hair is AWESOME. It's velvety soft and have a nice natural wave. You can make it straighter or curlier. The hair has gorgeous auburn highlights and the color is dark brown. It looks very real just like a healthy head of hair. You don't have to fuss with it-just wash and dry. I wear this pretty wig every day. The cap is comfy and stretchy. I have a 22" head and it fits me fine. It is so light weight that I hardly know it's on. I don't understand why there are not more reviews. This unit is a keeper and when this one wears out, I will buying another!
