I bought these on a whim and fully expected them to brake quickly or not hold my hair…but they have done nothing but deliver flawless looking buns for weeks!I have fine hair to begin with, but recently had a surgery so my hair has thinned out quite a bit while I recover. I took some time before I wrote this review because since Ive purchased it Ive cut my hair shorter. Wanted to see how it worked with long and medium length hair. For reference, I had long straight thick hair that probably reached below my mid-back. I used this with long hair I found that I needed to make it work. First, I would put my hair in a ponytail (i used my own because the one it comes with did nothing). Then I would place the tool on the mid-length of the ponytail and run it down to almost the end. I would begin to wrap the hair around the tool (hope that makes sense) and here is where it got tricky. As you begin to wrap it up, if you have layers, the hairs wouldnt get captured in the wrapping and are left loose – then at the point where you would snap it to a bun, not all hairs were captured in the bun. So at this point, Im left with a bun that has its own ponytail. When I had longer hair what I would do is wrap that leftover hair around the bun and then secure it with the elastic that came with the set. Basically, a lot of work just to get a bun! Now with shorter hair maybe 1 inch past my shoulders, I cant wrap the loose hairs around. I like the concept of it and Im sure other girls will be able to use this no problem but for me, I couldnt make this work.CJ

Since I just enthusiastically talked my sister into buying her own, I guess I better get around to reviewing this, lol! My hair: mid back length ( covid haircut) and sooooo thick the hairdresser always has to mention it. A couple trial runs and I was ready to rock it! Holds TIGHT and light- my hair feels weightless. The bun is also cute, full but not unnaturally big. My only wish is that it left soft waves when it came out more like angular crinkles ( other products promise that, but I highly doubt they can handle my thickness.)
