I bought this because I just had shoulder surgery and cannot raise my right arm above my head. This allowed me to do a blow out and style my hair like I normally would. I still had to go over with a straightener. I’m not sure if that is due to the product or because I was doing it with one hand. I have short hair that is somewhere between my ears and chin. I’m not sure if I should return and continue my search for a better one or keep this one. It certainly works better then the Conair model for sure. Which btw, had a strong chemical scent when turned on and the motor was SO loud. Revlon which was cheaper also did it better. Simple and effective motor wasn’t unbearably loud…However I can’t help but feel like it’s cheap.. the thin aluminum or metal wrapped around the brush head combined with heat makes me feel like I’m damaging my hair.. there’s got to be a better one out there with more thoughtful innovative materials for hair. I love this styling hair dryer! I’ve been using one version or another of it for over 15 years. I think this is my 3rd or 4th one. If I remember correctly, I’ve never had the motor blow out, it’s always been the locking mechanism that broke or that I dropped the curling brush and the plastic broke where it would engage with the locking mechanism. It’s fantastic for my medium length, thick, naturally wavy hair. I usually wait until my hair is partially dry before using and then style with the larger curling brush to minimize my slight, natural frizz and maximize my natural waves. For me, it’s worth every penny, even if I do end up replacing it every so often!Kat

Happy to find this hair dryer. Have used a version of this for 40 Years. I’m fortunate the previous dryers lasted for as long as they did. It was difficult to find this dryer in the store but happy Walmart had it available on line. I bought two dryers… one for home and one for travel. This is by far my favorite blow dryer. I have used this brand and particular dryer for over 30 years. Love all the interchangeable combs/brush. I use to be able to go and replace parts if they brake but they no longer sell them, which is ok due to the fair price of the dryer. It makes my hair super soft, shiny and the smaller teeth keep my hair straight longer. Worth it for sure. This has been and always will be my go to for days I need to blow dry and go.KJ

I now own four 3-in-1 Conair dryers. I love these products because of their life long service except for the combs that don't last very long. Each time the combs go bad I bought a new product because I was not able to find any replacement.Eeve

This is perfect for fine hair because it's a small size. I hold it on my hair for 5 seconds before moving down the strand. Don't brush it afterwards! Just run your fingers through it. If you brush you might puff up!Jenn482

This hot air brush works well for fine hair as it doesn’t get super hot. I use it on the low heat and low speed settings, but even the high heat setting doesn’t get too terribly hot that it’s going to fry my fine hair off. However, if you have thicker or course hair you might find it doesn’t give off enough heat to hold a style. The revlon one is really popular and may work better for thicker courser hair, but gets way too hot for delicate fine hair in my opinionZoey

My first time owning or using the fantastic little tool. I used the smaller barrel as my hair is short and tends to frizz. Was able to dry and style all at the same time. Hair came out impressive. I use the larger barrel on my granddaughter’s long beautiful thick thick hair. Comes out beautiful. Very easy to use and control this styler. We both get wonderful results that are quick and easy. This is the best crimper I've ever purchased and I've owned A LOT. It holds the wave for hours with just a little bit of hairspray. Even better, or loosens up after 24hrs and looks like it's completely natural, like you didn't have to use one at all. I would definitely recommend this product. Just a extra detail, I have medium length, thin-ish hair and I crimp my hair on 400 degrees with the biggest wave notch and my hair still looks long.HannahB29

I really like this, especially for my shorter hair. I have a lot of hair and thick hair. This didn't take me too long to do my whole head. The range in temp settings was awesome! The cons are that it is big and bulks and it doesn't lock, it is more like a flat iron in the sense that you need to hold it shut. This gets annoying quickly. I have short hair and I can't imagine anyone with longer hair being happy using this. I've only tried the 4th setting and I really like it. I bought it because it was on sale. If it wasn't on sale, I don't know if I would keep it.Gaby

I have pretty thick hair and it's cute but it's very time consuming on my medium length hair. it takes about an hour or longer. my tips are to NOT use it on freshly washed hair it works better on 2nd or 3rd day hair. Split your hair in 2 or 3 parts before you use it, it makes it much more even and it's easier. For me I never found it to be hard to use but it is a little heavy and can get tiring on your arms. I've never used it without heat protection so I don't know if it could damage your hair but I usually use it on the second to highest setting for tighter waves. I think it's worth the buy but watch some YouTube tutorials first so you can see what the waves look like cause I don't think the style is what I expected at least. it's more crimped than wave but still cute just not what I thought.diagona11y

I’m a 90s girl at heart and I love the curl my hair with a curling iron. I’ve tried using flat irons to curl it but I does not give the same effect. So I will always have the in my hair tools. Shipping was quick. Using it everyday. Helps smooth out my slightly curly, frizzy hair without the use of a harsh curling iron. Still use an iron for touch ups & a regular hair dryer at my roots because the air flow out is not hot enough or strong enough to reach my roots. The air flow is gentle enough I can touch the barrel as I brush through my hair & the air flow is warm enough to straighten but not so hot that it burns my skin. I look forward to using this in the morning because the airflow feels snuggly warm. Might be weird to say that, but it makes me want to use it. I feel like this gives my hair more volume also. Only down side is the slider button which turns it on. It's easy to slide the button all the way up or down but a pain to slide to a middle (hot) setting. I don't use the cool setting at the top, just the hot setting in the middle so I wrestle every morning trying to get to a hot setting. Needs a bigger button projection or finger grip.amy9191998

I bought this today to replace a similar John Freida brush, that I loved, that died after 5 years of use. First, let me say that I have long, thick hair that reaches mid back and this blow dryer brush performed as well as my old John Freida. That said, you cannot expect this to dry your hair efficiently if your hair is soaking wet – it simply doesn’t work that way. First, take a regular blow dryer to your hair first and dry until your hair is damp, not dripping. Then part your hair into sections and use this blow dryer brush to dry and style the rest. I timed myself and my total drying time from start to finish was 15 min and that includes using the regular blow dryer. Remember my hair is long and thick so 15 min total for me is perfect. My hair comes out nice and silky and looks like a salon blow out. Very happy with this and hoping it will last me as long as my previous blow dryer brush! First of all, the wand I bought was clearly used. There was a dark hair inside of it that was immediately visible the second I opened it. The handles were also dirty and there was a smudge of what looked like mascara on the barrel. I wiped it down and tried to use it but it did absolutely nothing to my hair. Any waves it gave me fell right out. I’ll be returning it and trying a large barrel curling iron instead to achieve the waves I want. Do not recommend!!LS

I wanted to love this wand, but it’s horrible. I wish I would have read the reviews a little deeper before purchasing. I have short hair, and I have a lot of it, but it’s very fine. I just bought this last week. It was $70. It is the 1 inch barrel model. The pivoting feature makes it super easy to curl your entire head from front to back. It gives you the results of the trendy beachy waves that all the it girls with long layers are wearing. It is professional quality for sure. Even the box and packaging are fancy. It is a wand so it doesn't have a clip like a traditional curling iron of the past. The curling wand is the hair tool of now and of the future. My hair held the style all day long until I showered. I recently purchased the HOT TOOLS SILICONE HOT BRUSH STYLER in hopes of giving some extra body to my curls and recurling my ends on the days in between shampooing. I have fine, highlighted medium length hair. I tried using this product initially on my hair the day after washing it and the silicone bristles seemed to grab my hair and would not release easy. I thought maybe this was due to product/hairspray being in my hair, so I gave it another shot with clean, dry hair the next day. The result was exactly the same, my hair seemed to get caught on the silicone bristles and once curled around the iron was stuck. I had to manually unroll it off and it resulted in my hair being burnt on the ends. It also put static electricity in my hair that I don't ever have so I don't know of any other reason other than I had just used the product. I will be returning this product immediately.Allison D.

I bought this when it was on sale, figuring if nothing else I could use it to straighten and flip my hair in the way my straightener couldn't. But OMG it has changed how I do my hair forever. I purchased this and the 3-Day Bender 1.25-Inch Rotating Digital Curling Iron. I found this to be relatively user-friendly compared to the 3-Day bender, in part because I couldn't get my hair to stay in the clamp and rotate properly, even after watching the videos on Drybar's site. I wouldn't say that my hair looked as great as when the Drybar associate worked on my hair, but it worked for the beachy, casual, slightly undone look I was going for. I liked its reverse-tapered barrel because it prevented me from getting that "prom hair" (circa late '90s/early '00s), and creating too-tight curls, which isn't a look I'm personally into anymore. I styled my hair using this for a summer wedding I attended, and I think the style held up through the night, wind, dancing, and all. I also bought a heatproof glove so I wouldn't burn myself. And actually, I tried to buy this wand in the store, but it was sold out when I got there, so the associate recommended the 3-Day Bender wand. I'm sure if I were more skilled I could do more with the other curler, but I tried them side by side and preferred the ease of this wand, even if it is something of a unitasker when it comes to styling my hair. Some context: I'm a complete novice when it comes to styling my hair and have only successfully used a straightening iron on it before. I have stick straight, somewhat long (mid-back) length, and medium thickness hair. My hair is usually not stubborn and does well with any hair tool, however, I was tired of doing waves with a straightener (wrist hurts). I initially saw a Nordstrom employee using this hair tool on a customers hair. I decided to buy and try it out for myself because I liked how quick it worked on that customers hair. But also when I went deeper into the product details, it had a neat feature: the tool is thicker at the end of it – where most tools are typically thinner at the end (tip). This feature allows for a more natural wave. I tried it on a morning where I was rushing. I dried my hair as I always do, added a heat protectant, and spent no more than 15 minutes making natural waves. Love it! I’m now on day 3 of dirty hair – I’ve only used my dry shampoo once, sea salt spray on another day and my hair looks great. I’m very pleased. The only additional thing I’ll say is be careful when holding it. Always be sure you watch where you finger goes to hold the tool when making the waves. But love it so far!RocksE

Normally I'm the type of person who only curls my hair when I feel like dressing up or for special occasions because curling my hair has always been time consuming. I've used a cheap curling iron for the last 10 years and have always wanted to make the switch to a curling wand. But I could never find a wand that worked for me and was user friendly. I would always burn my hand or would be disappointed with how my curls turned out. I have curled my hair every day since I bought this wand. It's easy to use, allows me to curl my hair quickly, give my hair volume and makes curls that I could never get with my curling iron. This is DANGEROUS! I typically leave all of my hair irons unattended in my bathroom while they heat up and return when my heat protectant is dried down enough to start styling… this is the only one that I NEVER know if it’s hot or not!? I got the Hot Tools Professional Nano Ceramic Deep Waver for myself and daughter. I love how fast the tool heats up and how easy it is to use. This waver works and leaves waves in my hair for up to 3 days. I do wish that their was some kinda timer that you could set to maybe 5sec, 10sec intervals. It might make it easier to know how long you've had the tool clamped on a particular section of your hair. I think the handle design also gets a little uncomfortable to hold and keep holding closed on your hair after so many repetitions of clamping, waiting, and moving down the hair. Other than these two things I love the look this waver gives and think its a great gift idea!vwood063088

I was super excited to receive this ceramic deep waver tool in the mail! I have definitely had my fair share of experiences with ceramic hair tools in the past and was ready to experience a new deep waver. The first thing I noticed about this waver when I received it in the mail was it's size. It is quite large and has the ability to wave large chunks at a time, which is super helpful when you have a limited amount of time to do your hair. This waver heated up quite quickly, and offers a few different heat settings which you choose according to your hair type. It only took a few seconds per chunk of hair to achieve the wave that I desired, and it took less than 10 minutes to wave all of my hair. The only thing I would change about this product is the ridges on the handle. One side of the waver has a nice dip which feels comfortable, but the other side of the tool has ridges in the dip which feels too abrasive against my fingers during use. I am grateful that it doesn't take long to wave my hair because otherwise I'm not sure I would be able to hold this tool long enough to wave all of my hair.Shari S

I have always struggled with wavy hair that doesn’t always look perfect. I also have issues with frizz and this product has all the answers. After watching tutorials on how to properly use this styling iron I got to work. First I tried straightening my hair, since it was the most straightforward. This was easy to do and eliminated all my frizz! My hair looked perfect and I could even add some volume by turning my wrist towards the end to give it the perfect amount of personality. Next was the challenge of actually curling my hair, which I have never really been great at in the first place. The tutorial seemed straightforward on this product so I gave it my best shot. I wrapped my hair around and held as the rotating iron did its thing. You have to have a lot of patience during this process but it does turn out fairly well. Personally, I prefer to use this iron for its straightening features because that’s what works best for me. Now let’s get into the details. One of the downsides to this iron include the noise. While the iron actually rotates, it is going to make noise. It is not a super noisy sound but it will be noticeable and obviously not be as silent as your traditional straightener, so be warned if this is your first time. Another feature of the iron is the built in brush to make your straightening experience easy and eliminate frizz, however, this means a lot of hair buildup in the brush. I recommend cleaning it after every use to keep it working properly and looking fresh. The appearance of this tool is just gorgeous and I don’t feel the need to hide it under the sink for the ugly appearance. Overall, this styling iron works very well and can be suitable for many different needs and hair types. I'm a Drew Barrymore fan, so when I found out she has a beauty product line I was excited to try! This rotating styling iron is sleek. lightweight, and an overall quality product. Its bright colors (the product and the box it comes in!) are fun to look at and make you want to use the product. Titanium is supposed to be better for hair than ceramic at getting flawless looks…I prefer it for my own hair and my titanium products have always worked better than their ceramic counterparts- so I was excited to see what this could do. Using this product is easy! You turn it on, the barrel rotates, and you style your hair with the rotating barrel and brush in one motion. It's lightweight so this process doesn't make your arms tired or anything. A drawback is the lack of temperature controls, though! Titanium gets hot and I'd argue that it could be too hot. It works! It works at styling hair and doing its job, however it isn't my first choice. I have other tools that I prefer more. This is just a preference though! There is a learning curve for this product and maybe I just have some more to learn to make it better than my other tools. Overall it's a good product! It just isn't my favorite.cortiz

I've never had a hair tool quite like the Titanium Rotating Styling Iron. It straightens, it curls and — this is the big one — it smooths. One tool does three things and it does it quickly too. My hair is naturally straight with a few waves, especially in the back for some reason, so it kind of always looks unkempt if I don't do anything to it. The Titanium Rotating Styling Iron allows me to straighten my hair really quickly, and it manages to take away the Florida frizz at the same time, leaving my hair looking smooth and shiny. Theoretically, you can also use the Titanium Rotating Styling Iron to make "beachy waves" by wrapping hair around the barrel of the iron like you would with a curling wand. My hair does not hold a curl, but I was able to create a wave-like look fairly easily. It didn't last, but that's my hair and not the tool. Like I said, the process is similar to using a curling wand. Other nice features: The cord swivels, so it never really gets in the way. It's a minor thing when you read about it, but in practice, it's huge. Everything with a cord should have that feature. Everything. The temperature is controlled via the power switch and there are 2 heat settings. I didn't realize that at first — pay close attention to lines and switch position to tell which setting you're on. The attached brush bristles are nice and stiff and long enough to easily glide through hair — I attribute the quality brush bristles to the beautiful finish. The only thing I didn't like about the Titanium Rotating Styling Iron is that the barrel only rotates in one direction. That made it pretty awkward to style hair on both sides of my own head, though I had no issue using the iron on my daughter. So I think this is more designed to do someone else's hair than your own or maybe the barrel rotation being fixed is a safety feature, I'm not really sure. I just know that it made it a bit awkward for me to use the first few times. Overall, the Titanium Rotating Styling Iron is a great upgrade to the standard flat iron and curling wand.Amber27

I have a great flat iron but it will only take small amount of hair to straighten. Since this brush is longer , you can put more hair in it to straighten. I did find it works best on second day hair. Right after I washed my hair after blow out , I felt the straightening brush made my ends frizzy. Flat iron works better on just washed hair. I will keep the Revlon product since it's not expensive. My hair is curly and I need to put a lot of effort into making it look smooth. This is a good extra tool to have in my drawerCc

Love this! It does not make my hair pin straight (I have wavy hair that is pretty easy to straighten with a regular flat iron). I love the "brush" design since it makes it much easier to smooth my hair out. I swoop the ends a bit to add some more body and bounce, which looks so pretty and effortless. Great product! If you are looking for something to make your hair super straight, this is not it. Good but snags hair. I’ve been growing out bleached hair. So there is some breakage. I use a heat protection spray then do small sections making my way up my head. On the breakage areas, I definitely feel this straightening brush tug. Even when I detangle sections first, it still snags. I’m hoping with time it won’t be as bad, as it was my first use. Next time, I plan on taking super thin sections in the bad areas and going slow and gentle. Now that I know what to expect, it should go better. Great styling tool though. I love that it’s long and I can take a longer section and get my hair done in less time. Swivel cord is nice too.AFW

This is NOT an Air Brush. What a waste of my time waiting for it to get here and now more wasted time to return it. It’s a brush curling iron. Conair makes a purple version that truly is a hot air brush that blows air in order to heat up and curl your hair. This is false advertisement. I had type 3/4 afro hair. This is really good to stretch/ smooth the curls into waves. After washing and conditioning, I braid my hair into larger braids after applying a leave in/heat protectant, let it dry, then take down one braid at a time and roll the brush from root to tip (holding the ends of my hair slightly taught to avoid tangles) on each of the three sections. Your hair won’t be straight but each curl will be elongated. Then I rebraid the section. It makes your hair incredibly smooth and a very natural looking wave. You don’t need much heat, I barely turn it on. When you take out your final braids your hair will be very wavy and easy to manage.Kiev

This is my second purchase. My first lasted for years! This is the only curling iron that works for me. It does get hot, if you set it up to the hottest setting, so be careful. But it works, especially well if I use product (mousse or styling gel) after I wash my hair. I highly recommend it.Amythereviewer
