I've just received my 4th Top Billing topper and wanted to review again. The first two I bought in 2020 and was thrilled. Perfect fit right out of the box, color was exceptional, thick, but not too thick and not too shiny. However when I bought a new Top Billing in Feb of 2021, I could tell the difference right away and sadly the same is true of the one I just got. Two different colors, same problem. The material is thinner, shinier and unwearable without a lot of fussing. It's not as long or as full and because its thinner it flips up on the ends and doesn't look natural. It doesn't hang properly. I have thin hair all over so if I want to wear my hair "down" I need enough thickness on the topper to cover my bio hair. No problem wearing the 2020 Top Billings down, but the new ones I have to clip or pin or wear up because they're too thin. Also the new material is noticeably shinier and I've spent a lot of time washing and dry shampooing to try and get it to look more natural. I'm really disappointed as I've tried a lot of toppers and thought I'd finally found "the one"!Laura
I love the lace front & lightweight quality coverage. On the flip side, the lace front is tricky. I use Milano new topper band. The large size fits perfectly with this piece. I found them on Amazon in large & small. I comb dry hair straight back, use Kenya dry shampoo, which is a little tacky & the band does not slide back, maintaining a nice lace front. I ordered the Raquel Welch Top Billing in color RL10/12 Sunlit Chestnut. The topper was pretty but the color was just too dark (maybe too ashy) for me. I previously ordered the RL12/16 Honey Toast — it was a little too light. I am at a loss on how to order the right Raquel Welch color — the professional recommendation was to order the RL10/12 that I just returned. I love the RW heat defiant fiber, density and texture — it looks like REAL hair. My current "go to" toppers are Jon Renau Top Smart in 12/30BT Rootbeer Float and Jon Renau Top Coverage in 12 Light Golden Brown but I just don't love the shiny synthetic (non HD) fiber. (I've tried several techniques to "de-shine" but I'm still not happy.) I think RW Top Billing could be a winner if I can ever find the right color.Donna V.

I ordered this piece because my hair is thinning on the top/front bang area, and my sides (by my temples). I've been trying to grow my bio hair out, and it's at a weird stage lengthwise, so I thought an integration piece would be great. This piece is a very nice, very well made piece by Raquel Welch. I ordered it in a light blonde, and as most blonde hairpieces, it was pretty shiny out of the box. I sprinkled some baby powder on it and that helped get rid of the excess shine (that makes it look wiggy). There are 3 clips on this piece to attach it to your natural hair. Very easy to use and adjust, and they held very well and the piece stayed in place. Just note, this is not a lot of hair, but just the right amount and most of it is focused in the bang and front side areas. It comes with a part in the middle, and if you want to wear the part off center, you almost have to cut the length on one side so it's even. I did trim the front length a bit because it was pretty long. It looks natural on, but would have looked better on my if my bio hair was a bit longer, so be sure you note the length. One thing I did find with this piece was it took a while to get it placed on my head so it didn't look obvious. I found it took more time to adjust the integration piece in with my bio hair than just popping on a wig, but this is more comfortable, so that's the trade-off. I would recommend this integration hair piece.
It only took a week for me to receive the wig here in Denmark really amazing. The description of the wig and the video really was a great help. Except for the colour which does not completely correspond to the colour in the photo. However I can use it anyway. Would have wished a bit fuller all around I agree with the other clients. This is a brilliant start if you are going thin on top. My hair is just getting so thin on the top and front top of my head that not only does it look awful and sap my confidence, but I get a sunburn scalp if I don't constantly wear a hat. I returned this topper weeks ago. These toppers should be sized. It was way to large for me. Too much hair and totally straight. I was like putting on a hat. I decided to try a lite touch wiglet. This one was so curly it appeared to be a bun on top of my head. I returned that one also. I do own 7 wigs which are 3 different styles and are from reds to white and all size small. Now I am wearing my own hair which I let let it grow out to white. It is thin on the top front. The reason for trying topper and wiglet. The combs in those hair pieces should be clips. I thought I would give this a try, since I’ve worn other toppers in the past. The shape is unusual and a bit too large for me, but I do like the texture and color of the hair. It does present a bit of a “ridge”, which is most prominent in the back. Because of the price point and return/exchange policy (particularly the restocking fee), it wasn’t cost-effective to send it back. I’ll probably wear it occasionally. PLEASE Paula Young take this Short-Length Topper and make a Mid-Length version! NO, this and the Mid-length topper are NOT the same only with just different lengths! The Short-Length topper has a LOT more body to it. The problem with the Short-Length one is that you will look like you put a helmet on your head if you don't brush it in a bunch. Please Paula Young offer a topper like this Short-Length one with a little less body to it, only make it the SAME length/cut as your Mid-Length one!!! FYI ladies, do NOT waste your money on the CURLABLE toppers; they are so FAKE looking!! Guess it's the Versa fiber. I have bought over a dozen of these toppers in various lengths/styles over the years incl the Wiglets. Toppers are much better in my opinion for anyone with thinning hair on top as long as you have some hair to attach clips to. If there are NO clips that come with a topper do NOT buy unless you are willing to sew 4-5 in as it will fall right off, NOT at all what one wants when trying to conceal thinning areas! These toppers are NOT for pulling your hair thru – I've tried and pulled my hair out when taking it off; instead just open clips then attach by closing them on top of your head (like clipping a hat in place) and then brush & brush, especially towards the ends. If you want it down or up more then simply open the 2 clips in front, place where you want and then close them again (kinda just press them down to clip in place). Take a mirror and look at sides & back, if you like what you see you are done! Takes only a few minutes! Be careful of high heat – like when opening an oven door. Do NOT use any hair dryer, curling iron – although one gal used curling iron with wet hair for like 5 seconds to add body – I would only try if I had extra ones around to spare. You'll know when to get a new one, it will fray and get fuzzy on the ends. If you have thinning hair and haven't tried a topper before, be ready to LOOK 10 YEARS YOUNGER!! 🙂Topper L.

So ridiculously pleased with this topper, it's given me back my confidence and I genuinely feel like a new person. Went for the dark brown, 4.7 inch * 5 inch base, 12 inches long. The quality is exceptional, the silk base makes it look like genuine hair because the parting looks so realistic. I was scared about dyeing the topper to match my own hair colour incase it wrecked it, so I took the topper to my hairdresser and she matched my bio hair exactly to the topper, and she also cut it into shape for me too. Feel completely confident that no one would know I'm wearing a topper. Having looked at the extortionate prices on other websites, this piece is a genuine bargain as silk bases usually cost hundreds.
