I used to only buy red heart, but recently started experimenting with other brands. Unfortunately, I likely won't be using red heart anymore because the quality is a lot lower than other brands. Their yarn is very scratchy and uncomfortable to wear. I knit a sweater with red heart less than a year ago, and just recently finished another sweater using a different brand. the difference in quality is actually crazy. I've only worn the red heart sweater twice (I even had to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath because I couldn't stand the scratchiness) and I have to stop myself from wearing my other sweater every day! Other than the quality, another reason I switched to another brand was because of the price. It's not like red heart is cheap, so I don't really understand why the quality doesn't reflect the price. This yarn is a utilitarian yarn, use it to make towel toppers, tissue box covers, a door knob cover… do not buy this to make a blanket in hopes of snuggling up with on cold winter evenings. Opinion aside, more aggravating than anything is the inconsistent sizes between the different colors. The light yellow is close to sport weight but the black is almost bulky. The same is not true for darker yellows, golds and oranges but the brown is so thick my H hook consistently misses half of it. The ratio of the light tan and yellow (but not white) to the blacks and browns (but not dark blue) is 7:6. I use the yarn because it’s cheap and sturdy. I don’t mix colors and don’t recommend it. My recommendation is actually yes BUT ONLY… and since a recommendation should never have a “but” I’m going to say no.Lynn78
I used to use RHSS ALL the time. Sure it wasn’t the softest when working with but usually softened up a bit after washing. A few months ago I bought a lot while it was on sale. Every other skein is absolute garbage that is so rough and scratchy that I couldn’t even stand to do a small doll with it! And then there was no way I would give or sell it to anyone. I even tried washing a swatch to see if it would soften up and it barely made any difference. The only plus is it’s number of colors but you can find sooo much better acrylic yarn via Big Twist Value and Living or at other stores online. I wasn't looking for this style or length of wig, but I was intrigued by this one. I was also surprised by some of the colours available. I decided to take a chance and bought the melted plum colour. I was pleasantly surprised when the wig arrived. The colour sample here doesn't do it justice. The melted plum is deep plum on top of the head (not just the roots) and fades out to silvery white at the tips. The whole wig has a silvery sheen to it. It's very flattering and eye catching, and the first time I wore it out I was stopped many times and asked about it. The wig is light weight and comfortable to wear, the short length at the back cools the neck. The bangs do hang in your face, that's how the wig is designed. I don't mind it, except outdoors if it's windy. I played around with it and found a few tricks to keep the bangs out of the eyes. A headband works, so does a hat. It's still cold here so I wore a beanie/touque over the wig when I went out, it looked stylish and kept the bangs out of the eyes. Another trick is to use got2b Ultra Glued Invincible Styling Gel, it comes in a black tube. Many people use it to glue down the part on lace front wigs. I put a dab at the root of the bangs at the front of the wig, and it glues the bangs in place to keep them out of the eyes.Patti G.
I love Reese in Rasberry Ice. It frames my face beautifully. I love tucking it behind my ear. I had a hair stylist last week ask me who did my hair and when I told her it was a wig she was surprised. She stated she would have never guessed. I feel that is the ultimate compliment. The only issue is that the back tends to fray after several months of wear when I wear high collars. Fray happens over time to any of the longer wigs that I wear. I would recommend this wigs especially if you have fuller faces.Teresa D.
Let me first say, I’m pretty sure this is NOT directly the fault of Vogue Wigs. With that being said, I’m very disappointed in my recent Jolie wig purchases! I’ve been purchasing this same wig for about 10yrs. About 4 yes ago I noticed a decline in the way the wig is made, using less hair but the price keeps rising!! Then again with the 2 I purchased most recently they seem to have done it again!!! I am beside myself as I have tried many other wigs and this is the only one that I feel Comfortable in as I wear my wig daily! I love Jolie as I’ve stated in previous reviews of this piece. PLEASE, if there is any input as a distributor that you can pass on, please do! Sorry for the negative review as I am not happy to have to do this but I feel it needs to be addressed!Robin A.

I am new to wearing & purchasing wigs. This is only the 2nd wig I have bought. I love it though it is very different than my own hairs thickness & style, though that is not a bad thing. How wonderful it is to have the hair you've always wanted. Not subject to weather or having to buy products to try & make your own hair do what you would like for it to do. We all know that harmful chemicals in hair dyes can cause problems with your health & damage to your hair. What a wonderful way to be able to have the versatility of styles & colors without damaging your own hair. If cost is a factor, factor in how much you spend on cut , color & wear & damage to your own hair. Also the extra tip you give to have it done. Woweee! I have several favorites when it comes to wig styles, but Angelica PM ranks at #1! Long feminine locks that hold up well, as do all Noriko fibers, and a realistic monopart which is essential to me. My only drawback is that the average cap size runs a bit small for my avg/lrg head, but large size is too large for me. All in all, she still gets an A+! Shown here in Crimson LR.Janel H.
