You wear it maybe one night with your costume and that's it. I'm wearing it with my flapper outfit and it will look amazing. I will not have to cut it either, no friz and looks great on my head. I did wear a cap underneath to keep my hair in place and then put the wig over it. The question now will be, how long will it last the night of the party. This wig was thicker than most wigs I've bought and that was a definite plus! It doesn't quite look like a flapper wig as it is thicker in the back and doesn't hang like the one in the product photo. It is well made and has great coverage–I have super long hair and was able to hide it under this wig with no trouble. I would recommend this as a standard black wig for any costume but not as a flapper wig.LisaTChiTown
