20 Best Nail E File (2024 Update)

So this is the Melody Susie Sheen Nail Drill. I ordered this in 2019. 5 STARS y'all!! It gets all five stars from me because it's just that good and still works as it did the day I bought it, 3 years ago. My bf loves for me to do his nails with this 😆 (he's a diva too). First thing I noticed when I unboxed it is it doesn't feel light, plastic-y and cheap. It has a "for professionals" feel to it. You may not know what I mean but you'll see once you order one. It works so good y'all! It comes with 6 drill bits and a case for storage, 6 sanding bands of diff grit levels, a baggie of sanding bands, user manual, the actual electric drill, and the power cord. The drill has two spins: clockwise and counter, plus it has a dial to go fast or slower. And the best part, it does an awesome job! I can't even fit everything I want to say in this review. I store mines in this cute little Victoria Secrets bag and everything fits perfectly. I highly recommend you add this to your nail kits.ashley.s

I may be late to the OPI Mexico City Collection's Spring 2020 release, but at least I finally found that rad yellow creme! With my pale, pink-toned skin, finding a yellow that is saturated without leaning too dark, pastel, or neon — AND has a 3-coat (or less) formula — is a real challenge. I got my hands on this color after stumbling into an Amazon sale (the "Buy at least $20 worth of these selected items, get $5 off" kind? It was the first time I tried it out!) where a few of the OPI Mexico City colors were included. I had heard about this color for a while, and watched nail polish swatchers on YouTube include it in their side-by-side yellow polish comparisons every season, but I could never find it in-stock at a reasonable shipping rate until that sale. Score! As you can see from my photo, it's a slightly lighter yellow, but it works like a standard yellow on my fair skin when compared to darker shades. It pops in just the right way! Plus, its formula is 3 coats maximum for full opacity, which is hard to achieve with yellow polish at any price point. (Don't you hate it when a color of polish is sold as the brand's "standard primary color," only to find out it takes 4 or 5 streaky coats to achieve that color? So many polish brands do that with yellow and white, even at the salon level. No, thank you!) I've been in in a real yellow mood this summer, so I'm so happy to find a great color that works for me in 3 coats and doesn't chip easily after a few days!elizabeth.o

Did you know that OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark was one of Kim K's favourite nail polishes in 2011? (Totally true, look it up.) I, for one, think it's time we restore it its former glory. I have been wearing Mod About You since it was first introduced to the OPI line. It is the most gorgeous shade of pink I have ever put on my hands and toes. Every year when spring comes, it's one of the first things I buy (along with my favorite self tanner). It truly makes me happy! It's a beautiful shade that I have never seen duplicated by any other nail polish line. It has a underlying blue-ish base mixed in with the pink and it works so well with my skin tone. I purchased the drill when it was on sale in February. After 6 months of carefully using it, the drill suddenly stop working. Contact the customer care, they advised to contact the Harmony Drill. I did send email and called like they advised but no resolve from any of the party. not worth $270van n.

This product is straightforward and easy to use. I love it! It is easy to change out the tips. It is also easy to use it with your left hand if you are someone like me that is not ambidextrous. I had soaked my acrylics off, getting as much off as I could, and I used this product to take them the rest of the way off. My nails are smooth and they look the best they ever have after taking off acrylics! I am so pleased! I will be using this in the future every time I do my own nails! I saw this product on Brandi Raines beauty blog, she was doing a tutorial on it and I thought I would give it a try. Well when I received it I guess I got a little intimidated by it and decided to try it on my toes first instead of using it on my nails. I Love it! As a huge fan of Kiss products and reading through all the reviews. No one has mentioned if the nail dryer is just air or is it a UV lamp. I'm just starting my nail salon and use alot of products that needs cured under a UV light. I already have 2 UV lamps and 3 efiles. However looking at the price and what I've spent on 2 lamps I highly doubt this would be a good investment if your doing any type of nails or designs that needs cured 💔😭Stacey Leonard

I had gotten a nail drill in the beginning of quarantine and it broke on me.. granted it was something cheap just to get me by but I missed having my nails done and feeling like a girl so I found this for $24 at [brand:cvs]! Just 24 bucks and it comes with everything. You get the drill along with 12 attachments, it has two speeds, also it has a little magnifying glass on the top so you can really prefect your details. I am enjoying my nail dryer! It’s super cute and very innovative! It gives me that feeling like I’m at a spa or a nail salon! It comes with all kinds of different attachments for ones needs. I love the design of this dryer in particular because it has great drying power and I love the nail wand. It works great and dries my nails quickly each time I’ve used it so far. This item was a replacement item for one that I broke.I dropped that handle and bent the tip which is a N0-No as it would not hold the burrs straight and they wobbled.The handle was deemed completely useless. It is almost as expensive to replace the tip if you can find one as it is to purchase a new unit.Since the unit belonged to someone else who was working in the shop. and it was part of her 34lively hood34 that I had destroyed, I bought her a new unit.She uses it every day in her work.She is very pleased with my purchase from Amazon..Barbara

I purchased this about 2 years ago…..used it 3-4 times. I recently charged it and when i went to use it…. nothing. I plugged it in again and it was if I hadn't charged it at all. I waited for the green light – when it came on I tried it again…..NOTHING! I wrote twice to Belasonic and each time they responded that I would receive a reply in a day or two. I bought this item in a moment of desperation, needing to remove a gel manicure but unable to get an appointment in time for my regular salon to do it. I honestly wasn't expecting this to perform as well as it did because it was literally a $20 purchase from Walgreen's but still I went about my mission with fingers crossed hoping for things to at least turn out somewhat respectable. After using acetone to remove most of the manicure, I relied on this to rid my nails of any residual gel and to perfect them for a more natural look. I was thrilled to find that the included assortment of attachment heads were very good quality and made what could have been a disaster a pretty painless experience. Not only did it remove every last trace of the residue from my artificial gel nails but I was able to use the buffer attachment to smooth and perfect them into a gorgeous manicure that looked professional. I'll be seeing less of my manicurist now and that's more money I can spend on my makeup habit so I'm a very happy girl.angel.p

Speaking from long term experience, if you're doing a full set of nails with gel, acrylics, or other enhancements, be mindful that this is not a nail drill. I purchased this for my natural nails from Walmart. It was under 20.00$. I have an overlay on my natural nails that requires filing from time to time. I am giving this a 4/5 stars. I sometimes have small imperfections in areas where a hand filing tool will not work. These attachments come in handy for those hard to reach areas. The cuticle pusher is nicely made. The charger is good (no buying batteries). Honestly if you are curious about this product, keep in mind what your needs are. I deducted 1 star because some of the attachments could be a bit more coarse, and I'd like for this to be made with more than one speed. The grit seems the same on all the tools. Different grit for different speeds especially the disk tools. I like the packaging. The case is sturdy and attractive. Easy to clean and store.mia.r

I read the other reviews before making this purchase stating this lacked power and bogged down under pressure. Those reviews are correct but my guess is that this may be somewhat of a safety feature. If the unit had more power it might take off skin if the unit slipped off the nail surface. It does work if you don't use extreme pressure. Let the grinding attachments slowly do their work. They will work but takes somewhat longer that you might expect. You get a little more power if you use the power adapter and not the cordless feature. Overall its not too bad.jerry746

I absolutely love this drill. The weight, color, and portability are amazing! It’s so pretty! I’m a beginner and it’s so easy to use. I can’t wait to get the matching LED lamp!! My photos don’t do it justice. Such a beautiful color. Came with everything in my photos. Only down side which isn’t that big of a deal or worth a return or exchange. The drill handle has a small scratch over the KS and the LCD screen has a dark spot on the top right but both aren’t that noticeable and don’t effect the use of the drill.Megan W.

I'm a licensed nail tech and I've always wanted this specific e-file from Kiara Sky but couldn't justify the price at the time. I believe I got this during their 20% entire site sale. Don't get me wrong, despite 20% off, it was still expensive but BOY DOES THIS WORK LIKE A DREAM. It's super quiet, powerful, and low maintenance. My drill arrived on Monday June 6th, 2022. I am blown away. This drill is awesome! There is absolutely no vibration and even at 35,000 there is almost no noise. I've tried many nail drill in the 22 years I've been doing my own nails. From the lower priced ones on Amazon ro more expensive brands like Medicool, iGel and Nail Genie. I'd have to say that I'm pretty obsessive when it comes to my nails. I hate having rough edges or hang nails. I love having smooth, elegant and squared looking nails so when Home Testers Club sent me the Tweezerman Glass Nail File in exchange for my honest thoughts, I was really happy because this tool is something I'd always wanted to try. I absolutely LOVE the the fact that this glass file is made of recycled glass material and its meant specifically for natural nails. The file glides effortlessly along my nails and doesn't feel like it's shredding my nail apart. I also liked the plastic carrying case that came with the file because it fits perfectly in my purse and I know it won't break. The file can be cleaned and sanitized after every use which is really important to having healthy nails. I've been using my glass file almost daily and I know that I'll never go back to the cardboard style file ever again. This wonderful manicure/pedicure set was well thought-out to include just about everything you might need. It comes with a cloth zippered case and has form fitting places in the form of a plastic insert which holds the device and all of the accessories neatly. The plastic insert can be removed if you prefer. The case retains its shape if you remove the insert. The inside lid of the case has a mesh pocket where you can keep the power cord and the manual. The case does not have a handle. In the case: Power cord with a micro USB end to charge up the device, Dust shield, 10 attachments, and a User Guide. No plug for the cord. The attachments are: Sapphire cone – to remove dry skin and calluses from feet and manicures the toenails. Coarse Sapphire wheel – Files nails quickly Fine Sapphire wheel – Files nails. Finer than the coarse wheel to file more gently and slowly Felt cone – For buffing and polishing Cylindrical Grinder – Grinds and smooths toenails Pointed Grinder – Removes ingrown toenails. Small for precise use. Round Sapphire Grinder – Removes corns. Use carefully. Needle-shaped Cutter – Precision tool. Used on ingrown nails or parts of dead nails. Fine Sapphire callus file – Removes calluses on the soles and heel of the feet. Crystal callus file – Use on thick, hard skin or large calluses on soles or heel. Charge up your device for about 3 hours before your first use and the charge should last about 2 hours according to the manual. You have to have your device turned off to charge it. It will flash red and green if it isn’t. It will flash with 3 blue lights if everything is OK. When the 3 blue lights are solid, it is charged. The power button on the device has 3 positions. Up, Middle, and Down. Down turns the attachment counter-clockwise and you will see a red light. Up turns the attachment clockwise and you will see a green light. The middle position is off. I thought I would not need to change the device from clockwise to counterclockwise and back again, but I found myself changing it while I was working to make it easier, so I see why this feature was included. The plus and minus buttons on the device control the speed. There are 3 speed settings. The instructions say to always start at the lowest speed and only increase the speed if needed. I never used it any faster. I thought the slowest setting was more than adequate. There is an automatic switch-off after 20 minutes. I like that the device is cordless, because I was holding it at all sorts of different angles to do my pedicure. Nail dust was flying everywhere so I attached the Dust Shield to keep it from flying up in my face. It worked great for that. It doesn’t catch the dust. It just protects it from getting it in your eyes or accidentally breathing it in. There is an LED light. If you use one of the larger attachments, it will block the light from shining where you are working. Also it was too difficult to try to always keep the light on the area I was working. I did use it though. I would stop for a second and shine the light on the spot to better see how it was looking. My First Pedicure with the Beurer: I started out using the coarse sapphire wheel on my toenails. That quickly got them filed down. I switched to the Fine Sapphire wheel to smooth the edge and “fine tune" my nail filing. Next, I used the Sapphire cone to remove my cuticles from my toenails and to decrease some of the slight thickness of the nails on my great toes. Then I switched to the Pointed Grinder to get the cuticles at the corners and to fine tune any cuticles that I had missed, as well as getting the corners of my great toe nails. I followed that up with the Felt cone to buff my toenails. I used both the Fine Sapphire Callus file and the Sapphire Cone on calluses and dry skin on my feet. I really loved the sapphire cone and how it made my rough skin feel baby smooth. I used the Sapphire Cone mostly for that. You do not have to use a lot of pressure for the attachments to work. In fact, very little pressure will be much safer while providing excellent results. Also use the attachments in circular movements, except when shortening the nails. At first, I was trying to keep my feet positioned over a small waste basket, but dust was flying everywhere, so I ended up sitting on a bath mat and letting the dust fall onto the mat, which is easily washable, or can be vacuumed. Before retirement, I was an RN and often took care of diabetics, including their foot nail care. I would have loved to have had this tool. I feel with proper use (not too much pressure and using circular motions) it would be very suitable for them with minimal risk. When I was working, only an RN was allowed to do the nail care on a diabetic’s feet. The reason for this was because of the risk of injury using the sharp cutting tools that were the only things available at the time. I mention this only to emphasize the importance of being extraordinarily careful when doing pedicure care on diabetics. I really MarilynB

I love this product! I had to say goodbye to the nail salon during the past 18 months due to the pandemic, and I was in dire need of a new pedicure set. I used to own an electric nail care set and it was a good one that lasted for several years, but since it was powered by electricity, I always had to be tethered to the electrical outlet which was not always convenient. This one is rechargeable and has many other nice features as well. One of the overall design features that I like the best is that the Nail Pro Premium by beurer of Germany comes in a nice zip case along with everything you need to groom your nails, whether you need a manicure or a pedicure. The product is of a high-quality design and comes with 10 different sapphire and felt attachments that seem to meet all needs for nail care of manicuring or pedicures. It comes with a dust shield that fits neatly over any of the attachments and has an LED light that illuminates during use. The Nail Pro Premium charges easily with a micro-USB cable and needs to be charged for three (3) hours before the first use. It seems to hold that charge quite well and last up to about two (2) hours of use for each three (3) hours of charge. There is a speed control of three (3) speeds, and a control to make the attachments rotate in either direction. The unit is ergonomic and fits well in the hand which makes it easier to control and do detail work. The cordless operation also allows for more movement of use while using the device for either a manicure or a pedicure. This is my second medicool file. My first one was bought second hand. Its been good to me for 10 years with regular handpiece maintenance. It will probably be my go to file as long as the company exists. This is a second file for my home business.For the record it comes with a grey handpiece cradle, the purple is my personal one. I recommend medicool hands down. Easy to change bits and the perfect weight handpiece, IMOamandazing

Has great power, had two of them now and with light use since 2015 both of the drills will not lock/release the bits. Blew them off as recommended. To expensive for what you get. Can buy similar electric files 5 times less. I do not recommend this for nail clients.Jerry

3 1/2 stars from me. Its ok but the Kupa UP200 is better, even though the Kupa is only 20,000rpms it doesnt overheat unlike the Medicool. The medicool over heats and the hand piece although light in weight is bulky in my hand because of the mechanism that allows you to change the carbide bits protrudes out a little bit. The Kupas handpeice is a bit heavier but it is more stream lined and made to be sturdier and doesnt overheat. The medicool is compact but still does not beat the Kupa. I am a professional nail technician, if my job requires me to do several acrylic nails fills or full sets in a row then I need something that wont heat up and get hot in my hand. I will be returning this as soon as I can and just shell out 150ish more for the Kupa. I own a medicool pro power pack that is rechargeable and though that the electric file for the table would be just as good, it is not. My portable power pack is better then this except it needs to be recharged which was why I bought the one for the table. I have included my coworkers Kupa and the medicool for comparasion. In our work stations there are holes in it so we can put our hand pieces in and mine does not fit in it but hers does, hence the reason why I say the medicools hand piece is bulky and not streamlined.TZE-LE
