I was given this polish to restore my nails after having a gel manicure for years. I stopped for covid19, as I couldn’t justify the salon trips with a high health risk person in my household. Sadly, I was forced to let my beautifully appointed gel nail manicure grow out and disappear. Of course what I was left with was entirely awful destroyed nails. I have used Nailtiques Formula 2 for many years. It absolutely improves the strength and look of my nails. The trick is to use it consistently and follow the directions to apply one coat daily. I make one to three applications a week to maintain the results and make sure I always have this on my nails. I don't wear color polish often but Nailtiques works great as a first coat with color polish as the second. If you are just starting out with Nailtiques I would suggest not using colored polish for the first few weeks and just use Nailtiques to give your nails a good start. The first coat gives your nails a nice shine, the second coat the next day hides any nail ridges and gives a thick glossy salon look.les7424

This is certainly a handy all-in-one product that can be used as a base coat, top coat, fill-in, and nail protectant. I typically do gel or dip on my nails because they are very brittle and prone to flaking. I apply this product over my 1+ week old dip nails to give them extra shine. This product has a lovely, moisturizing gel-like texture that gives a wonderful shine. However, because it has a thicker, more moisturizing consistency, it takes a very long time to dry so would probably not be ideal as a top coat for regular nail polish. If you don’t touch it at all, the finish is beautiful, but even if you accidentally touch it hours later before it has fully dried, the finish can become texturized and dull. I think this is best used as a nail protectant over natural nails or over acrylic/dip/gel. It is super easy to apply with a generous large brush and (relatively) minimal nail polish odor. I would recommend this product on polish-breaks between manicures. It is also a great all-purpose travel polish. This treatment was super beneficial for my natural nails. I had just removed my acrylic nails at home with a regular nail file and some acetone, so my nails were weak, dry, and a little brittle. After washing my hands after all the abrasive removal, I put on two layers of this treatment and then some cuticle oil after it dried. Not only are my nails shiny and healthy-looking, they also feel a lot stronger than before. My nails have always been a little weaker and textured, but I genuinely would not be able to see that with this treatment on. My nails are also significantly smoother than they were with all the filing I did. I also found the smell to be quite pleasant compared to normal nail polish and acetone, but maybe that was because I applied it after smelling acetone fumes for a couple hours. While I love it as a treatment, I cannot vouch for it as a base coat nor a top coat, This could be a good “primer” for a base coat, but it doesn’t seem sticky enough to be a good base coat that helps polish adhere to it. I also don’t think the texture is quite smooth or even enough to be a top coat which is meant to seal and even everything.grace.c

I have been learning how to do my own ombre nails and nail stamping. It can be a long process to apply the many different layers to achieve the look I want, and it is very frustrating to go through all that work only to smear the polish on a nail and have to start over. Enter Sally Insta Dri Top Coat. This awesome little gem is a nice consistency and goes on nicely – it's not too thin, yet doesn't gloop everywhere either. It leaves a nice shiny, clear color, and speeds the drying process. It also does not soak through the nail stamping sealer coat, so it doesn't smear the stamped designs. I have tried some expensive top coats that permeate through the layers of polish and ruin the nail stamping designs. The best part, this top coat protects my manicure! I wash dishes, cook, do laundry, type on a computer, shuffle papers around, and this top coat protects through it all! As any nail professional will tell you, you must touch up your manicure with a good top coat every few days if you want to prolong the life of your manicure. This Sally Insta Dri Top Coat is perfect for that, too. I just apply a quick top coat every other day before I leave for work in the morning and it is completely set by the time I arrive at the office. Perfect! Ok, I’m obsessed with this stuff. I wanted something to put on my nails to protect them and make them look a little neater when I’m taking a break in between manicures. This stuff does exactly that….it’s amazing. It has the prettiest tiiiny amount of pinkish sheen that makes your nails look a step above bare. This picture is two coats. I usually have my nails manicured, but once in a while I need a break. If I leave my nails completely bare, they chip and break. This not only protects them but also gives them a nice “clean” look. I plan to use a white nail art pen along the tips of my nails, and create a really minimal “French tip” look next time I use it. Please don’t ever discontinue this product, lol!Allie

I haven't been using this product long, but I love it. I keep seeing all of these reviews that were part of a promotion, but my review is just because I needed something new, saw this, and bought it. I have also seen some complain about the smell. I feel like I need to go home and check mine, because I have not noticed any weird smell. You got a bad bottle or something. This goes on nice, it doesn't take forever to dry. Although I have tried a product that dries much faster, but the drying time on this isn't as long as regular nail polish. I like the finish look on my nails. No streakes or clumpy weird stuff, and goes on so smooth. The best part, my nails are strong and holding up well. Did some break, yes. But you can't expect the first coat, or even the first week to fully improve your weak nails. You can't put this on paper and expect the paper not to rip. If you want your thin nails not to break, get gel or acrylic on them. Let them grow, give this stuff time.Missy

If you follow the instructions and let ilthe polish drynas any other polish, it is an excellent choice for nail repair, ESPECIALLY if you have a significant amount of damage including thinning and tearing from having gel polish or acrylic . I've had Nails over the years off and on I would say over 25 years and there's only one other product I have found in that amount of time that actually does what it says and helps to repair your nails from the amount of damage that any gel polish and acrylic will do. I find it interesting that majority of the promotional reviews not all but majority are rated very high and the less than Stellar ratings are those or majority are those who were not part of the promotion and it only helps other consumers if it's an honest review based on actually following the instructions of what you're supposed to do if you just try it for a week then no it's not going to work if you have damage that would likely push you to buy this in the first place. It usually takes months and sometimes it can actually take people years to actually get their nails back to normal if they've had gel or acrylic on your nails for even a few months my mom hasn't had nails for a few years now and her nails have never been the same they're extremely brittle no matter what she tries and it's because of the gel polish mostly and acrylic. I followed the instructions and used this for several weeks and as I mentioned previously this is the only product I've found that does what it says it will do and it helps with the discoloration as well that acrylic and gel polish leaves because your nails haven't had actual air for weeks or months or years while you've had something on top of them so it usually leaves a yellowing or dingy color which has always bothered me so any type of nail repair should be attentive pink or some type of color to make the yellowing of your nails not so noticeable to the human eye. I too do not understand the comment about the overwhelming smell as it smells no different than any other polish so I'm thinking maybe that reviewer had a bottle with something wrong with it or expired or too much of one or more ingredients. Overall I'm super pleased with this product and will continue to use it to strengthen my nails and have them look or appear as healthy as possible. The only reason that I put four out of five stars for last a long time is because my nails are so damaged it's normal that any single thing that is put on them is going to be absorbed and it's not going to last as long as things normally would so as I expected it doesn't last that long because my nails are so unhealthy if they were in their original condition I'm sure it would last longer.Kate

This is my go-to nail polish. I personally only use clear or any colors closest to clear to keep a basic, natural look. I have been using this since it was gifted to me and when I tell you, my nails are so healthy and grow so quickly! Meanwhile, I am one who has had a nail biting problem for over 20 years. This nail strengthener has done the unthinkable: salvaged my thin, peeling, damaged nails that I was on the brink of accepting would be stubby forever. I was caught in a cycle of chewing them in times of stress, getting acrylics to cover up the issue, removing them and starting all over. My nails were put through the ringer. My goodness, what this has done for my nails is unreal! As soon as we went in “lockdown” mode, I needed my Dip mani ASAP. I'm only on week 3 of the process, which is a month long, but so far I've absolutely loved this nail strengthener! I've tried tons of other nail strengtheners, including a $25 one, and this is the best one I've used so far. It doesn't tint the tips of your nails or turn them yellow, and it has a very natural sheen–not too glossy. My nails are stronger than they've ever been. I have only chipped a nail once, and that was at my job during the first week of using this strengthener (I work a pretty hands on, physical job). Since then, I haven't broken or chipped a single nail. I plan on continuing to wear this as a base coat or just naturally on my nails once I'm done with the month. Long ago I gave up on my nails, trying to just handle them short to curtail their peeling and splitting tendencies. Last march I had a shellac mani to be fancy for a wedding and it ruined my already quite pathetic nails. After several months of trying to grow out a vertical split that had resulted I searched for something that would strengthen them enough to at least get back to normal shorties. Well, I saw this product and the reviews and thought i would give it a try. I did follow directions to the letter, which helped and it was at a vacation time for me so I could stay on track. After the first two weeks I had never seen my nails so 'non splitty' , and something in this is definitely fortifying them. After the initial two weeks I went into the 2 week every other day schedule, and I went ahead and purchased the soy remover as well. Pros: much 'cleaner' product line than any I see. Virtually no odor or strong smell, makes application pleasant. Products work better than any I ever used on my mid 50's nails! Cons: none yet, and I just ordered from the Labor day sale. I am tossing my collection of prior types of nail polishes I've accumulated. I just think these are better for me and work better.Margoflyer

This product is really good at rebuilding nail strength when used as directed. Although it may be temping to peel off the product after applying several coats, I encourage you not to do this as it will also remove part of the strengthened nail bed that you are trying to repair. Soak your nails in non-acetone polish remover initially, then rub off remaining product with a saturated cotton ball. Once clean, reapply.KathyC

Having been a nail biter/picker most of my years I resorted to acrylics to help deter me. Getting this done regularly made my already thin and brittle nails worse. I resorted to false nails for a while and then wraps to try and achieve some length to discourage my old habits. Had been looking for an alternative product in local shops but couldn't find it. A work colleague was using product I was originally trying to source and recommended it all apart from the pinkish tinge it gave. A local beauty store recommended this range that they had in stock as an alternative. Was so glad I purchased. Have now got beautiful natural nails and have actually had to cut and manicure them for the first time in my life. I am so proud of them and hopefully the habit is now behind me. I was hoping to be able to wear this straight or with a top coat but is very gloopy and doesn’t go on very smoothly. It does dry quickly but that increases the gloppy quality where it gets thickened while you are applying and leaves a chunky mess on the top and brush. That being said, it grips well. While I wouldn’t wear it out, it’s excellent for applying before a bath to protect my nails from water. Two coats a half hour or so before my bath and it doesn’t peel off. I had used this about 20 years ago when I was using tips on & off. Then I totally went natural and short. So once my nails grew out I had no need for it. About a year ago I noticed I started to get ridges. Just kinda random I thought, nope, another side effect of menopause. Anyway, while I still do a LIGHT buffing I am back to using this. I do think the old formula was better but all in all it def helps especially once polish is applied. Also this formula now has a pink tint, prior it was almost clear. I have an autoimmune condition, which leaves my nails with ridges. Even buffing away the ridges doesn't leave my nails as smooth as I would like. The Sally Hansen ridge filler works as well as–and even better than–some of the more expensive brands, and the price is right. i like the wider brush as well.Karenaud

I was extremely excited when I saw the FB ad in regards to strong nails not breaking. I have very thin, peeling nails and the sides of my thumb's split so I thought this would answer my prayers. I have put three coats on over a week and a half and I had FOUR nails break on me! The cost at $23 and the product not working is totally RIDICULOUS!! My nails were all the same length and they were long and I was so looking forward to this product working and I am extremely disappointed! It made my nails extremely hard but when they started breaking over simply opening the car door that is absolutely ridiculous! I am not using my nails as tools to open packages and I'm very careful because I have thin nails. But when you're opening your car door and your nail breaks it's just ludicrous! This product does not do what it says it does! I had to cut my nails down all the way because of the FOUR breaks I had two on each hand!! I would definitely not recommend this product to anybody and unfortunately I did to a friend and she bought it but she is in Costa Rica right now and I have no communication with her right now but when she gets back I really want to know how she made out! I decided to treat myself to this after usually only buying standard nail polishes. Reading the reviews I went ahead and was really excited to try it out. The initial application was great, went on really well and dried quite quickly. However, less than 24 hours later, 8 out of my 10 nails are chipped, and the varnish has actually peeled off two of my nails altogether! I only did my toenails, not my fingernails, so it’s not as if my nails have been bashed about with general day to day. I have been all about nails and nail polish since I was a little girl. What little birthday and pocket money I got as a kid went to nail polish. For the last 12 years, my work has involved working with a lot of paper and a lot of typing. I'm hard on manicures and keyboards. I average 1 key board every 3 years or so. I've tried every kind of gel and top coat. Most rub off on paper, leaving streaks or rub off the tips. I bought Miracle Gel on a whim. And I was AMAZED. It is so quick to apply, and it holds up. I've been able to get anywhere from between 5-12 days from this polish. And the best part? No light and no soaking. It comes off with regular acetone with no scrubbing or soaking. This is probably one of my favourite nail polishes. I love the shade of green and the non-goopy application of it. It’s also lasted longer than any of the other expensive polish brands I own (all the ones that promise no chips for two weeks and then they chip next day no matter how careful you are). I’ve gotten a bit less than a week’s wear out of it, but even now it’s only a couple chips on a few fingers, which is to be expected because I’m a mom of young kids, so I am constantly doing something with my hands and washing them. I see other reviewers mentioning how sheer applications are, which is true, but it just means you need a couple extra coats, which honestly isn’t a big deal; I find that most polishes, no matter how much coverage they give you, need additional coats anyways. This nail treatment works really well. My nails are naturally brittle and thin. I got acrylics for years and they really damaged my natural nails. I bought my first bottle of this 3 yeaarsa ago and have been repurchasing since then. The only downside is that you have to reapply every few days, per the instructions. At first, I was very skeptical about this product after trying the Orly nail strengthener and had little to no improvement. But Nail Envy is a completely different story!! This product is an absolute lifesaver. I have never in my life been able to grow my nails out due to how brittle my nails are. My nails use to fray and snag the second they would get a little growth. You MUST use this product every week for at least two months before the magic starts to happen. I’m so happy. I’ve been using the same bottle for 7 months now and I’m only halfway through. I use it every single week and do 2-3 coats as a base to my nail polish. If you use this product weekly and stick with it, I guarantee you will see major improvement. I have tried several brands of nail strengtheners and I love this OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener dry and brittle. I see several comments that say it didn't work for them. Let me say, It does work but you need to use it faithfully. Follow the directions. I apply at least 3 coats and let it dry between coats, then I apply another coat daily (this helps to keep chipping of the polish down) and then I remove all polish and repeat the process about every 3-4 days. The longer your nails grow out past your fingertips the less chipping of the polish there will be and the harder your nails will get as they grow. You must keep polish on them though all the time or they will get soft again.ulyana.s

I don’t understand how this works when the ACTIVE ingredients are EXACTLY the same as the INACTIVE ingredients. Even if that is an error, you could buy all the ingredients yourself for a tiny fraction of the price (for the same amount – .43oz) and have plenty left over for other needs. JSIwantcoffee

I am happy with the results I’m getting! Better results than anything else I’ve tried. It’s easy to apply right out of the shower. I’m finding that it’s taking longer on the nail with the more severe infection. But it is working! Applying the nail treatment regularly and keeping my nails short is helping.Sunbug

This is basically like a powder dip polish. It's easy to use but does not work. I've tried several times and it does not repair the tear on the side of my nail.Tam

I broke my nail halfway through right in the middle of my nail bed. I got sick of waiting for it to grow out and wearing bandaids so bought this, and it works! The emery board that came with it didn't work very well but I'm just happy it won't totally break off.Alyssa
