I swear by biotin for anyone who has dry skin, or brittle nails and hair. I've been taking biotin for a couple years now and my hair is much thicker and doesn't break like it used to. My nails grow like crazy which is an extra bonus. I think it actually helps my skin from getting dry in the winter too. I used to get terribly dry itchy skin as soon as we turned on the heat in late fall, but not so far this year. I do use coconut oil for my skin so I cant say it's the biotin alone but I plan to keep taking it!After 1 month with a regiment of a skin suppliments such as a collagen or phyto ceramide capsule greatly increase a desired effect. Wish Irwin would not soy lecithin, titanium dioxide, maltodextrin, caramel color. There other natural ingredients that they should be able to explore/experiment with for the individuals who are sensitive. It would be good to improve the formula with Keratin, B5, Ionic Minerals, Liposomal Vit C, nutritional yeast, vitamin D3. With these added ingredients, I would probably have the formula taken at supper/night in order for it to work with the body&#39;s hormonal growth restoration process. They smell like fruit. The look like little dots and they actually taste good. I take 2 a day in the morning when my kids take their meds and vitamins. I have had no issues with these and I like that they are vegan and non GMOs and made with better ingredients but still contain a good daily dose of nutrients needed. These are easy to chew. They are firm but soft to chew. They do not taste bad or have that medicinal taste. These were very easy to incorporate into my daily routine. Definitely going to continue use. I read a review of another customer on this product where they are complaining about the &#39;smell&#39; of the product. I had to laugh because if one knows anything about horsetail the herb then you would expect the tabs to have a strong scent which they do. Does not bother me not one little bit. Because the products here on Swanson&#39;s website are of a natural origination ie: herbs, plants etc. they can carry a scent that may be repugnant to some. It&#39;s a shame really because the Hair, Skin &amp; Nails formula is perfection for this monthly shopper of supplements. Lastly. you may want to stock up because they have been out of stock for over a month now. Great composition and got glowing skin in just a few days of usage. The ingredient list, pill size and dosage is also good. If you are taking for long term, horsetail (diuretic) increases excretion of B1 and biotin so adding these would be worthwhile.iHerb Customer
