I have this wig in the colour R6/28 F which is chestnut brown with red frost. I would say that the highlights look more blond/golden than I expected but looks good either way since they are evenly divided throughout. The fibers are smooth with fine density. A little shiny, but not too much. The wig is cut in layers that gives a lift to the face and a feminine shape. The length is practical with the longest locks in front and short hair in the neck. It would be a good to idea to ruffle the middle part a bit as the zigzag middle part may seem a little too perfect. I generally like that the hair color is not in one color/solid as it can make it clearer that it is a wig by giving a clearer contrast to the face – especially with light skin tone. The lace front presses a little into the forehead and there could have been a larger amount of hair. If you are completely bare for your own hair, then this lace front can give away that it isn’t your own hair line – but then again, this can be improved by changing the middle parting. The cap is comfortable. Overall good value and a safe choice straight out of the box.Kristin
my new Avalon wig is a disappointment. I loved it when I first got it, but she tangles constantly. It's much more excessive than the normal tangle. I noticed the density is lighter than the Avalon from a few years ago. I'm not sure if they changed the fiber itself, or if I got a dud. The nape on most wigs tangle and you have to use the wide tooth comb and detangling spray throughout the day. This wig is in a constant state of matting and tangles at the nape, and even the outside portion of the sides and back that do not touch clothes are just constantly tangling, the fibers are also looking frizzy very quickly, not something that usually happens on the parts of the synthetic wigs that don't come in contact with clothes. I can't return it, I already cut out the tags and adjusters, I am just surprised that this is happening this quickly on this wig. I know my Finns in Americano and Toffee Latte wore out at the bottom sooner than the normal colors, I figured it was due to the hand painted colors at the end, when I had my MacKenzie in 8/12 those fibers lasted. That's why I chose a regular color on Avalon I figured it would have been better than the coffee collection colors. But this wig is not holding up. I did at the suggestion of Amy @ wigstudio1 try a conditioning treatment, I used the Estetica conditioner and the Bamboo Silicon and the fibers still look matted, frizzy and almost like the fibers were razored. I've only had this wig less than 2 weeks. Most synthetics last substantially longer for months and years.cecelia g.
I had originally purchased Orchid in Iced Mocha, but that color was on back order until the end of May, so I went with Caramel Kiss. It’s not the perfect color for me, as I prefer cooler tones, but she’s absolutely STUNNING! The only thing I really struggle with about the color is the one harsh and chunky blonde streak towards the front. Everywhere else, the colors are beautifully and lightly streaked and blend very well. I lean more to a petite size, so she does shift if I don’t use “It Stays,” even with tightening the straps. I also wish the permatease wasn’t so thick at the temples. Her movement is flawless and she looks very natural. Although, the knotting at the hairline is a bit thick and very dark. I did carefully pluck a little and feel better about the lace front, now. The length is perfect for me as it’s the length I’m used to wearing with my bio hair (until I recently cut it to fit better under wigs). She’s my first wig, with Heat by Jon Renau being my second. So, we’re still getting acquainted. But, the more I reach for her, the more comfortable I’m becoming wearing her. I’ve been suffering hair loss for ten years since having a radical hysterectomy due to uterine cancer. So, to have a thick and healthy head of hair, via wigs, has been a wonderful experience. This is the beginning of my journey so my issues may be just that I am starting this journey kicking and screaming. I know all the YouTube reviewers say this is wonderful and fun but it isn't what I want to do – I wish my bio hair looked like this wig. It is lovely – soft and flattering for probably anyone. However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT
Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. The eggplant shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the fall season! If your bio hair is or was brown and you are looking for brown yet with a twist of pow…. Choose this color! I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. I have been wearing the same wig for several years. I always purchased Voltage by Raquel and same color. I decided I would try one a little shorter. The color I always wear was not in this style. I got a color close to what I usually wore. The wig had absolutely too much hair and the color was not satisfactory. It looked fake. I had my hair dresser thinn it out, but I am still not happy with it. The only thing I like is that way it fits my head. It will probably be a while before I buy another wig, and I will never buy this one again. This is one of THE WORST wig I have ever purchased. It looks like a rat tail in the back it's so THIN! If I gather it up in a pony tail it's the size of a DIME. I'm not exaggerating! I spent the extra money to get the length, but what a joke. I'm going to have to ADD EXTENSIONS to get fullness. I'm sure I'll have trouble matching colors so I'll have to get some dye out as well. The color is totally off anyways. I ordered Chestnut and it looks auburn. While the back is super thin the sides are real thick and short. This hair is NOT supposed to have bangs or SHORT LAYERS, but it does. It frames the face starting at the chin. Not attractive on me thus why I didn't chose a different wig. Make sure and have the place you buy it from style and thin the sides before they ship. I couldn't find anyone locally to touch it because I didn't buy it from them. I called the place I bought it from and they wouldn't take it back just for styling. Luckily YouTube helped me, kinda. First time I've ever had to thin. Cut some lace but had some brown thread to try and hold it together. Not to worry, though. The KNOTS ARE HORRIBLY NOTICEABLE so the string blends in. I'm too scared to bleach and putting make-up on the part turns out looking awful. It arrived curly so I got my straighter out and was shocked to find SPLIT ENDS everywhere. And it has that RAZOR CUT look which really makes the split ends stand out even more. Not seeing that in the photos. Last but not least the LACE IS HORRIBLY STIFF and likes to roll under. Talk about scratchy and uncomfortable. After a couple hours the skin around my hairline becomes so irritated and red. HURTS! So in the end I've WASTED $1,200 on an art project. When I first received the wig I was worried that it would be too thin. But, when I am wearing it, I find that the lower density looks extremely natural and more realistic than the overly thick human hair wigs I have had in the past. The hair is very smooth and you can run your fingers right through it. I had the Kim by Jon Reneau which has extremely sick denier. I have this bravo wig in the color R 11 S. It looks extremely realistic as though my hair had been professionally highlighted. I also find the lace front to be the best I have ever worn. The netting is so fine that I truly can barely see it. This is the first wig I have on where I do not feel the need to cut the lace. Although some may not like the thin density for the shorter length, I find it perfect for every day wear. I was looking for a wig that was short enough to be comfortably worn every day easy to tuck behind the ears, yet long enough to be pulled back out of my face. Also I would like to add that this week does not shed at all so I am expecting it to last quite a while.I gave this four stars only because I do wish there was slightly more hair in the lower back region of the cap.Patricia D.

I have this wig in the colour R6/28 F which is chestnut brown with red frost. I would say that the highlights look more blond/golden than I expected but looks good either way since they are evenly divided throughout. The fibers are smooth with fine density. A little shiny, but not too much. The wig is cut in layers that gives a lift to the face and a feminine shape. The length is practical with the longest locks in front and short hair in the neck. It would be a good to idea to ruffle the middle part a bit as the zigzag middle part may seem a little too perfect. I generally like that the hair color is not in one color/solid as it can make it clearer that it is a wig by giving a clearer contrast to the face – especially with light skin tone. The lace front presses a little into the forehead and there could have been a larger amount of hair. If you are completely bare for your own hair, then this lace front can give away that it isn’t your own hair line – but then again, this can be improved by changing the middle parting. my new Avalon wig is a disappointment. I loved it when I first got it, but she tangles constantly. It's much more excessive than the normal tangle. I noticed the density is lighter than the Avalon from a few years ago. I'm not sure if they changed the fiber itself, or if I got a dud. The nape on most wigs tangle and you have to use the wide tooth comb and detangling spray throughout the day. This wig is in a constant state of matting and tangles at the nape, and even the outside portion of the sides and back that do not touch clothes are just constantly tangling, the fibers are also looking frizzy very quickly, not something that usually happens on the parts of the synthetic wigs that don't come in contact with clothes. I can't return it, I already cut out the tags and adjusters, I am just surprised that this is happening this quickly on this wig. I know my Finns in Americano and Toffee Latte wore out at the bottom sooner than the normal colors, I figured it was due to the hand painted colors at the end, when I had my MacKenzie in 8/12 those fibers lasted. That's why I chose a regular color on Avalon I figured it would have been better than the coffee collection colors. But this wig is not holding up. I did at the suggestion of Amy @ wigstudio1 try a conditioning treatment, I used the Estetica conditioner and the Bamboo Silicon and the fibers still look matted, frizzy and almost like the fibers were razored. I've only had this wig less than 2 weeks. Most synthetics last substantially longer for months and years.cecelia g.
I had originally purchased Orchid in Iced Mocha, but that color was on back order until the end of May, so I went with Caramel Kiss. It’s not the perfect color for me, as I prefer cooler tones, but she’s absolutely STUNNING! The only thing I really struggle with about the color is the one harsh and chunky blonde streak towards the front. Everywhere else, the colors are beautifully and lightly streaked and blend very well. I lean more to a petite size, so she does shift if I don’t use “It Stays,” even with tightening the straps. I also wish the permatease wasn’t so thick at the temples. Her movement is flawless and she looks very natural. Although, the knotting at the hairline is a bit thick and very dark. I did carefully pluck a little and feel better about the lace front, now. The length is perfect for me as it’s the length I’m used to wearing with my bio hair (until I recently cut it to fit better under wigs). She’s my first wig, with Heat by Jon Renau being my second. So, we’re still getting acquainted. But, the more I reach for her, the more comfortable I’m becoming wearing her. I’ve been suffering hair loss for ten years since having a radical hysterectomy due to uterine cancer. So, to have a thick and healthy head of hair, via wigs, has been a wonderful experience. This wig looks really good. The full lace is not the clear scalp looking lace, it is black netting. TI really like this wig. It's very curly, and l ooks different from this picture. Don't be afraid to brush those curls loose. This one has plenty of hair, so there are no gaps like the daisy has. This is my favorite summer wig. It's light weight, natural looking and very manageable–just cut the lace and go. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The most natural looking wig I have ever purchased. A friend who knows I wear wigs, asked if she was seeing my bio hair. I was wearing hand tied Center Stage with the lovely lace front when she sat across from me at a restaurant that day. Nothing more needs to be written to explain the 5 stars. I tried a couple other wigs and they had too much hair for my small face and head. I saw this brand new style and it looked so cute and a lot shorter, and I so hoped it would fit my head and face. When I received it I took it out of the box and I immediately saw that the amount of hair was way less than other wigs I'd tried (Beach Mono and Violet). I tried it on and it wouldn't cover my side hairline. I thought I could work with the curls, which were wavy and soft, but the more I looked at myself, the more I realized that the wig cap just was not large enough. I even went to the internet and looked at ways to make a cap larger, and then kicked myself and said, "she just doesn't deserve all that cutting and most likely ruining!" I would suggest that you go by the true petite sizing if you want to try her. Also, ordered this in Bernstein Rooted which I must add is more blonde than brown. I wasn't prepared to go to such a drastic color change. Since the color swatch shows mostly light brown, the amount of blonde was a surpose. Sadly I had to return her. Your staff was so helpful. I needed to return the Flair Mono wig because the lace front had a lot of dark knots and there was hair poking up at the top of the wig. Very disappointing because I liked the style of the wig but did not keep it because I did not believe I should have to accept that low quality for the price I was paying for the wig.

However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT
Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. The eggplant shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the fall season! If your bio hair is or was brown and you are looking for brown yet with a twist of pow…. Choose this color! I've only worn wigs for 4 years, so I am not an expert. I've loved Noriko and Jon Renau up until now, but Raquel's "On Point" received such high reviews I thought I'd give her a try. First of all, it is a great style. No permatease on top and backcombing doesn't work well so if you prefer a flatter style, this one is for you. Second plus: not shiny out of the box. (If anything, the fibers are a little lackluster.) The front lace is the best I've ever seen for a flawless look on the hairline. Now for the not so greats: the wig is huge. Noriko wigs run small but I can always adjust them by snipping here or there, etc. In contrast, this wig could fit a volleyball and it's much harder to reduce than expand (I did manage it with a sewing needle, thread, and scissors, but with much effort and a few failed attempts). My biggest complaint is the fibers themselves. They are "heat friendly", but I haven't used any heat at all on mine. I've only had her 3 weeks and already the ends are getting that dry crunchy look. In contrast, I once wore a Noriko wig for 2 months straight (daily) without washing it and it looked amazing the whole time. Love Raquel – just not her wigs. For the price I had hoped for a little higher quality, so I'm going back to Noriko and Renau.
I love On Point, but it is not heat resistant like advertised. If you add body to your hair with a dryer and round brush instead of a curling iron you will still damage the synthetic hair. It gets course and tangled because of the strands that curl individually into corkscrews. Regardless I like the fit and style. Plus the coloring looks amazing. I was so impressed with Rachel Welch’s manufacturing of this wig I ordered Play It Straight. This experience has not been the same. I was sent Goddess instead of On Point. I don’t hate it but my husband does. It fits small. The hair lays weird and the coloring is too rusty around the face. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT
Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. The eggplant shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the fall season! If your bio hair is or was brown and you are looking for brown yet with a twist of pow…. Choose this color! I have yet to be disappointed with the Raquel Welch brand wigs. Thank you Wigstudio1 for always getting my orders to me in such a timely manner. Makes me so happy to know an order is heading my way. I just wish I had discovered wigs many years ago when I started losing my bio hair would have saved me many tears when I was buying every product out there to get my hair back. I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. But everyone tells me that this style looks like an old woman and I‘m just too young to look that old… 😅 Of course Wigstudio1 is not to blame, their service was first class, as always!Sarah C.
