I recently had extreme hair loss due to alopecia and needed to purchase a wig. I have never had to do anything like this and didn't know where to start. After looking through SEVERAL websites and styles of wigs I chose Always. It came in promptly, less than a week. It was beautiful right out the box. I wanted looser curls so I combed it out and it looked wonderful! Day 1, I wore it for maybe 4 hours out running errands. When I got home the ends were SO matted and tangled. The ends of the wig look like damaged hair, frizzy and crinkled. I have not used any heat and I have not washed it yet. I've worn it out twice and it looks terrible. I did buy the synthetic hair care package and been applying the products as directed. After purchasing this wig I now know what not to get and what to look for in a wig. I really don't think it will be another Raquel Welch wig. I am so disappointed and hate that I spent $150+ on this poor quality wig.Mariah

I have purchased several wigs from Vogue over the past few years, and I've bought more than one of this style. The texture and quality make it my very favorite! It is unbelievably realistic with the look and feel of real hair, whether you wear it straight or curly. I always trim bangs on mine and typically trim off some of the length for a little more layered look. The highlighting is so natural that I've had several people ask me who does my hair! I wear this almost every day and regular washing helps keep it soft and reduces fraying on the ends. I've also found that using a curling iron or flat iron will also help with some of the fraying on the ends. This wig also has a very natural monofilament top which allows the hair to lay very nicely no matter how you part it. The best feature of this wig is the texture of the hair, which allows you style it as you would your own. It's amazingly natural looking, soft, and beautiful!

I love this wig. I wanted something super casual and wearable, and this is perfect. You can puff it up and add volume, or smooth it down for a more streamlined profile. I love the center part, and the curtain bangs stay out of my face without having to pin them back. Rootbeer Float Blonde is my new favorite, mostly because Butterbeer has a strange colored root…sort of burgundy. This is very similar but much more of an ash base. They are both beautiful, but I find this color a little more natural looking. I am all about natural looking wigs. If you want something for your jeans and sweatshirt days, this is it. I have been a wearer of wigs and hair pieces all my life…partly because I like to change my look but mainly because my natural hair is the consistency of steel wool. And to make matters worse, I started losing my hair over 15 years ago so it's been very important to me to find wigs that not only are affordable but also look realistic. And that's where things get difficult. Or at least until now. I had seen pictures for the Shakerato wig by BelleTress and I couldn't get over how natural it looked. I've always wanted to try a lace front but thought it would be too complicated to wear – I thought all lace front wigs had to be glued down. That is not the case with this wig. The thin lace front blends seamlessly into my own skin and gives the illusion of hair sprouting from my own forehead which is something I have not seen in many years. I chose the darkest color, Coffee without cream, and even though it is dark it still manages to be multi-dimensional with just the slightest variants of different shades of dark browns. And in addition to the beautiful and rich color, the wig is so lightweight that within minutes of putting it on I had forgotten that I was wearing a wig. I’ve worn wigs for 4 years now and have an extensive collection. I’ve purchased multiple Belle Tress wigs because I do love the coconut blonde color for summer (pictures attached) and feel for the price you get a decent wig with an absolutely gorgeous lace front. I put the Lady Latte wig on and loved it immediately, so I removed the tags and wore her to work after a quick styling. It was a few hours later that I realized there were multiple strands of hair poking out of the left side of the wig. I have never experienced this before on any wig I’ve owned. I literally had to take scissors and cut those strands off at the cap. There was a crease imbedded into an entire weft with no way to fix or style the wig to cover the strands that were sticking out. This is a light density wig with no room for this kind of defect. My advice to anyone is to very carefully look at ALL the wefts on your wigs to ensure there are no weirds kinks that are creased into the strands of hair!Jill T.

I have worn wigs for over 50 years and have experienced the good, the bad, and the ****. I have worn inexpensive and expensive, natural and synthetic wigs. I cannot believe how completely disappointed I am with this wig. At this price point I would have expected much better quality. Severe matting occurred in less than a month. I have had the wig for only one month and it looks like I have had it for 6 months. I wear my wigs daily and they usually last 3 – 6 months depending on the brand. The hair fibers at less than 1 month of wearing this wig feel like dried cheap doll's hair! I was so embarrassed when one of my friends at church touched my hair and got a funny look on her face. I paid over $400.00 dollars for this wig. I am ashamed to wear it anymore and feel like I just wasted a lot of money. I have never written a review for a wig before. I felt an obligation to write this review to save others from wasting their money and to send a message to Raquel Welch that I as well as other customers deserve much better quality especially at that price. I have had at least one other Raquel Welch wig ( I think Spotlight ) and was not disappointed like this. This wig is a new addition to the Raquel Welch collection. It looks beautiful in the pictures but after a couple of weeks of wearing is probably one of the poorest and cheapest looking not to mention shortest lasting wigs I have ever bought. I see that it is now on sale for $290.00 which I still think is too much but wish I had spent that instead of over $400.00.Diana F.

Update….I previously wrote a review on this wig. I love the realistic hair fiber (but wish they could improve heat friendly hair fiber so it lasted longer) and the hand tied cap and the lace front are both wonderful but the Cap is Huge on this wig. Sadly, I won't be able to buy more of this piece because of the large cap size, so much so that it's baggy on my head. Disappointing because the cut is gorgeous.Lovewigs2

I've been wearing wigs a very long time, so I know occasionally one will not thrill me at first. This one, though, I hated. I kept trying it on, changing the part, combing through, etc. Day after day I tried until I finally decided to do something a little drastic. The ends of the hair are razor cut and a bit shattered. The wig I received had multiple points that were sticking out and looked, to me, like I'd received a bad haircut. I trimmed all of the 'points' off. After combing through again, that small change made all the difference. Now, it looks much better. The fully handtied cap is very comfortable. The density is quite full. The heat friendly fiber has no shine, mine is even dull (RL14/22). The length is below the shoulder (I'm 5'5"). The hairline is beautiful with a completely undetectable lace front, which is why I love Raquel Welch wigs. The color I usually wear is RL14/25 Raquel Welch or 14/26 Jon Renau. These colors are almost identical with the RW color being a tiny bit more ginger and much better blended than the JR. This time, however, I chose RL14/22. It has a few "streaks" of a very light blonde and, to me, is not as dynamic as RL14/25. There's a nice light blonde around the face, I was just expecting more of it. All in all, now that I've tamed this one, I have to say it's great. Very natural, comfortable, and NO itchy lace front. My Jon Renau wigs lace front drives me insane after a while. Raquel Welch lace fronts are comfortable all day long. I love it now.Elizabeth

Not sure if I will keep this. Have to really think it through, and that is because as cute as it is, and as lovely as the color is ( snow mix), I can easily see the tracks or wefts if I run my fingers from front to back along the top in the opposite direction from how the hair is cut. The cut is definitely designed to fall forward from the crown, so you most likely woukd not be changing that up too much, and if that direction stays in place, like no wind is ruffling it, or no nosy and annoying person messes with it while on your head, you will not likely see the tracks, but at $208.00 you may feel uneasy about settling for this flaw. I’m honestly really torn on this one. I’ll wait a few days, try it on again, reassess and make my final decision. I’m bringing this up because other people on the web want the scoop on this. The issue has been raised, so if I can save someone who is very particular about this type of thing, that’s important. I will say, I did not buy more than one, and I only have this one color to report on, so I cannot tell you if each wig in this style will have the track issue, and I don’t know if it is less noticeable in some colors than in others.
