Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita
I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. I was terribly disappointed in the hair piece I purchased. I had deliberately purchased a small item to ascertain the quality of your products, thinking that I might be a regular customer if the hair piece was as advertised. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I have worn the Whisper Light Delicate Touch for years and folks don't even know. I have several (color 60) and it matches my hair perfectly. It's so easy to put on, stays out and the volume is just right. I'm a senior citizen and my hair has begun to thin. I wear them all the time and wouldn't be without them❣️. Ordered 3 to get the appropriate color. None were really perfect for me. Will be returning two soon. It seems a full wig is more appropriate for me at this point. My hair is very thin all over and really thin on top, so even the WhisperLite is too heavy with hair and too large. 50% of the size and straighter this is would have worked better. Length was good. I was excited when I first opened the box. The texture and color of the hair was perfect. BUT, you can see the wefting and even when I pulled my own hair through, (which takes a LONG time), you can still see the wefting. The piece doesn't stay in place either. There are no clips to hold it in place. I was excited that I found a piece that would help cover my thinning hair at an affordable price (My husband and I were just laid off due to covid impact on our company). My hair is thinning and has to be washed daily to give it body. So I wanted a wig that I could use that looked like my hair to wear when I skip a day washing mine. It took me a fews weeks to get brave enough to wear it, but today I worked with it and pulled some of my hair through it and styled it like mine. I wore it to visit a friend and she didn't comment as if she thought it was my hair. I was amazed at how much it did look like mine. It's not uncomfortable, but I know it's own. I need to sew some wig clips in it since he feels like it pulls up in the back and makes my head itch from the movement. I've never worn a wig, so I'm adjusting and learning. I've order 3 wigs and so far this is the only one that I didn't trim & actually like the style. It's not as thick as the other wigs and therefore, I think it looks more natural. I don't think it looks exactly like the photo on display, but I think it depends on how much of your hair you pull through. I only pulled some around the hair line. Give it a try if you get the correct color. I ordered the Golden Wheat & love the 2 tones in it.I think I'm going to enyoy it once I adjust to wearing it. Absolutely love the volumizer as I've never liked the wig feel with a full cap. It's just too hot for me living in the South but this piece is open weave to pull my own hair through which feel cooler and stays in place much better for me. My only disappointment was the top which has very little hair sewn in that my scalp shows through in places. But then I have almost no hair of my own so there's nothing to pull through. I'm continuing to work with creative ways to pull my hair from lower and it's getting better the more I work with it.TERESA

Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. I was really looking forward to getting this, my very first topper, but I was very disappointed. The color is much darker than the hair scrunchie I'd gotten from Paula Young in the same color number (18), that matched my hair really well. Unlike what the picture indicates, it is completely flat, I mean totally FLAT against the head and impossible to tease to give it some ""lift"" even using hair spray to lessen its slippery texture. It looks like it's been glued flat to my head! The hair is forward facing which makes it thinner in the back than on the sides and looks odd on the top. The back of the top has a cowlick which lays wrong and looks very unnatural. It just seems like the hair was put on wrong and it either ended or began at that back point (cowlick) that's so ""twisted"". It's terribly shiny, but that's the easiest thing to remedy. The thing I do like about it is that it isn't overly thick, doesen't look so unnatural in that aspect for someone who doesn't have thick hair and doesn't want a thick hair piece that would be obvious to anyone who knows you. Because I got it on sale, I understand it can't be returned or exchanged for another piece, so I'm stuck with it. Even at the sale price of $40, I can't afford to just put it in a drawer and forget it or buy another one, so I'm trying to come up with a way I can use it. maybe under a cap or attached to a wide head band or head scarf, some way I can disguise the odd lay of the hair and still make use of it. Overall, it has good reviews which is why I decided to buy it. It's possible I just got a bad one that slipped through quality control, I don't know, but I wouldn't buy it again and wouldn't feel comfortable in recommending it to anyone else.
I am grateful for my salt & pepper topper. No one ever knows when I am wearing it and I always get complimented on how pretty my hair is. The reason for only 4 stars is the style is opposite the cut of my hair. My hair is short in the back and long in the front, so I have to wear it backwards. Funny, but it’s perfect. There are no salt & pepper toppers to accommodate the short back to long in front styles. Still, this is so pretty and comfortable and natural looking. Makes me feel pretty! I bought 2 other same toppers in the past, but this one is much thinner in the back. It seems to lay flatter than my previous toppers. I wish Paula Young would make more toppers because they are much cooler to wear in the summer because the cap is smaller and not on the whole head like a full wig. The "wiglets" are for smaller areas and never matched as well as a whole topper that hangs all the way down for total coverage. I have purchased human hair wigs and synthetic wigs from Paul Young. I enjoy wearing all the various wigs I have but the human hair does look more natural. First day I wore the Manhattan human hair wig I had an appointment with my physician. He commented that he liked my new hairstyle and thought it was my own growing hair! I went out to lunch and had three different people comment about my new hairstyle. All thought it was my own hair. I lost my hair within 6 days due to chemotherapy, so the helpful instructions were appreciated. The wig was similar to the online photo, but less curly, and that was a slight disappointment. Since it had just arrived at my time of need I am very thankful for the purchase. I have ordered 2 more different styles with some additional accessories. I have 3 Geneva style wigs and love them. I ordered 2 more, it the new ones are much shorter in length than my 3 older ones. Very disappointing that they are not consistent in the styling & length. Geneva rooted is by far my favorite, but the ones I just received are very pixie ish. Even my husband commented on the shortness. I did send one back &kept the other. I don’t know if I will even wear this new one. Not good quality control. Too bad, I have praised their products to friends & family,but now w/a warning.Judy
For the fifth ( or sixth) time in the last 18 months, the wig has been of poor quality….thin, flat, choppy looking. Not like pictured, not like previous purchases. I’ve worn PY wigs for 10 years and have come to expect natural looking hair. I wear them out of necessity, so receiving these last ones has not only been disappointing, but necessitates buying new ones. I have donated several to the cancer center. They have hairdressers who can work with the wigs to make them useable for patients in need. Skills I don’t have. I can’t afford to keep donating and buying anew 😔Carolyn
The wig is lovely in the picture on the website, a little different than what came. I am sure it is the same wig, but the styling was somewhat different. I wasn't thrilled with how it looked on me. On someone else it will be pretty. The quality of the workmanship was good, and it fit really well. But no matter how you try to picture yourself with a certain hairstyle you just can't until you try it on and look in the mirror. I do wish that the website had software for virtual try on where you could upload your picture and try on the wigs before you order. I am sending this one back, just not for me.Cathy

When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita

The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. The wig I received did not look anything like the picture. Very thick, curly and the bangs are curled up away from the face. Way more hair than pictured. Unfortunately I removed the tag to try it on, did not see the warning, If removed cannot return. I am stuck with a wig I will not and cannot wear. Very disappointed, will not recommend.Carol

The Toffee color is beautiful. It is a medium brown over the ears and in the back. There seems to be some excess fabric on the top of the head. This may be because I don't have much hair to cover up. The hair goes over the ears on the sides. You can fix some of it to go behind the ears as shown on the model, but this makes my ears stick out. No stylist around here will cut on a wig. I was ill when the order arrived. So my neighbor got it for me and said the box was ripped. I took pictures when I got it from her. My hair is mostly brown with some gray. The wigs were mostly gray and, even after shaking, looked nothing like what I had ordered. I also ordered a bamboo wig cap and brush and comb set. They were NOT included in the box or, may have fallen out or been taken out, due to the rips!! It also looked like someone had retapped the box, as the tape was a different type. I love the wig. Bought it to replace my real hair that I lost during chemo. Very realistic and lightweight for summer. I can actually put it up in a clip like I could with my real hair. Some reviews stated the hair was too thin but I think they think that because it's layered. Actually, that's why I like it so much. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because I had to wait four weeks to receive it and I was unaware of this until I called PY to find out why it was taking so long. I was not aware when I ordered it. However, I'm a happy camper now!Angela
The Long Color Me Beautiful is a pretty style. It is no way as curly as it looks in the picture which was fine with me. It has softer waves. I have worn it several times, but now I find that the style has loosened up and has lost it's shape. I have ordered three wigs at a time and each one has a slightly different styling. I have worn PY wigs since 2003 and they no longer seem to hold up as well. I also wish they had more styles in the petite size. The average is much too large for me. Evidently PY thinks that people with smaller heads or thinner hair should only wear neck-line or short wigs as those are the only styles that come in petite.Bobbie
