I have 100% hair loss and a sensitive scalp. I bought this one to wear around the house with a thick cotton liner on those days when I need a break from the adhesives I use with my 100% hand tied wigs. It's a great style. I wish it came in a 100% hand tied version WITHOUT that cone-head "bump" on the crown that's so unnatural. Since it's a wear-away-from-the-face style, the lace front should be ear-to-ear instead of just the crown. Please find a more comfortable lace because the standard is itchy. The Glazed Strawberry bills itself as a "light red" but it reads as brown. I wish more wig manufacturers offered light reds that look honestly red, not brown, not orange/ginger, but real red strawberry blonde with blonde streaks. Thank you so much for a truly amazing product. I have ordered before from different companies and every single time I open the box and my heart sinks. I honestly feel they got the orders mixed up. The other companies say that the lighting makes the color look different, but the whole wig was not what I ordered. Your product is perfect. I like this wig however sometimes the cap is too small. The two I bought last month fit perfectly. One of the wigs I bought last year shouldn't have passed the quality control inspector if you have one. The hair separated at the crown. I have brushed and teased but it never did perform as expected.JANET M.
I ordered this style in the color Kahula…It is a light/medium brown with blonde highlights. I had a hard time getting a picture that really captured the shape but it is pretty close to the model. The curls look really natural…like you have naturally curly hair and the style is a fun combination between tame and wild (if that makes sense!) I have probably 20+ wigs and wear them everyday…I got this one because it was totally different from any others I have. I work a very physically demanding job, so I wanted something that was cute but would not tangle or require me to mess with it during my shift. I did wear this out tonight for girls night out with my best friend…I can always count on her to tell me the truth about the basics – does it look natural, is it flattering, and most important, does it look "wiggy"…this one passed with flying colors! The other thing I like was the price…I typically only buy mono-top wigs because they look so natural, but with the curls, it isn't noticeable at all and it keeps the price down. I can definitely see myself buying this in another color!

Have always bought Raquel pieces but feel like the quality has gone down the last couple of years. The picture shows where top is completely coming apart. This started two weeks after purchase and I couldn’t afford to replace it. The sides of this one also didn’t look right and kind of poked out and could easily be seen. I have worn many different varieties and brands of wigs… and at any price Ms.Welch's (synthetic) wigs are an inferior product to many, many other brands that cost far less money First, the "Positives": very nice color assortment from which to choose… though it must be acknowledged that "good color assortments", throughout the various brands-range is not a rarity. There are very nice colors available in all brands The "NotSoPositives": The mono-top, dimension-ally, should be more ample in size. If you wish to create a part on the "far side", either right or left, you'll encounter a problem, having run-out of "mono" construction. 2) Front Lace from "temple to temple" is not acceptable; for a product costing this amount of money at full-Retail, the lace should go from ear-to-ear 3) … and finally: the "hair"/ fiber: AWFUL !!! After wearing for a brand-new unit (only) a week or so, you'll find that the ends begin to frizz… and the frizzing becomes worse and worse as time goes-by. And before you ask: No, I do not… and have never used heated styling tools on synthetic units. The frizzing looks like the results of an extremely bad perm.', and the scatch-iness against the skin is soooooo uncomfortable on those longer styles. … and finally: the lace front separated from the front of the wig! I had to glue it back together! For me, Ms.Welch's wigs are cheaply made products with a big price-tag, and a rating of "OneStar" is one star too many!Tina M.
I wear wigs full time and I own over 20. Every quality of synthetic from $20 Ebay wigs to $400 bought on this site. Love this site. The fit, color and style of this wig are awesome as are Raq wigs, but not the hair quality. The wig frays easily. I know how to care and treat a heat friendly synthetic wig, hence my history above, but within 1 week of daily wear the hair from the nape down became dry, course and needed a deep conditioning. I only use the wide tooth wig comb sold here on my wigs so this shouldn't have happened. My first real disappointment so I'm glad I got it on sale. I bought Zara as a replacement bcs they are very similar. I hope she holds up better than Scene Stealer.Gigi

I have 100% hair loss and a sensitive scalp. I bought this one to wear around the house with a thick cotton liner on those days when I need a break from the adhesives I use with my 100% hand tied wigs. It's a great style. I wish it came in a 100% hand tied version WITHOUT that cone-head "bump" on the crown that's so unnatural. Since it's a wear-away-from-the-face style, the lace front should be ear-to-ear instead of just the crown. Please find a more comfortable lace because the standard is itchy. The Glazed Strawberry bills itself as a "light red" but it reads as brown. I wish more wig manufacturers offered light reds that look honestly red, not brown, not orange/ginger, but real red strawberry blonde with blonde streaks. Glazed Strawberry is nice but just too dark and too brown.Tish

I got this wig for several reasons. Color, style, and length were my primary reasons besides the fact that I really like Raquel Welch's wigs. The color I chose was R10 which was a Rich Dark Brown with Coffee Brown highlights all over. It was pretty close to the color chart. It is difficult to pick a color from a computer screen, and clearly easier to see it in person but it was what I expected. It is a snug fit but I believe it is because of the lace front. I have another Raquel wig and the fit is perfect. It does not have a lace front and has that extra stretch in the front. I do have to say I called and spoke to one young lady who was amazingly helpful. She spent quite a bit of time with me. She understood my needs and clearly wanted me to have the look I wanted. We achieved that! It is amazing how different I look and how pretty I feel! I will be buying more!Jack C.
I loved this wig's texture, density, movement and style now that I'm liking bangs since it mikes like easier than dealing with hiding hairline with shiny, sparse lace fronts and off colored poly-mono. The density was like my bio hair that is average thin (not bulky). I really wanted to love Nutmeg with warm shading and roots, but I didn't like the many white hairs as highlights. This color could be so much better. I imagined a lighter color of Bronzed Sable 6/28 (without any white/blonde hairs as highlights.) I might try next R10 Chestnut with light and dark brown (with slight red warmth).Joanna E.
The color was beautiful but it had no texture and I expected that of course. . First I tried it on and I noticed the left side was different than the right side. So I asked myself if I wanted to keep it. I thought I could fix that so I decided to keep it and worked some on the left side to make it match the right. I did that. I am 67 so I shortened it and I loved the new length. I had to put the usual sprays in to keep it from being shiny. It looked amazing. Then I went outside and came back in and it looked stringy and horrible. It was frizzy and just not ok. I give 5's on everything. I do not know what happened to this one. I am going to print a picture of me of course without going outside.It is better than what happens when you come in from outside but I noticed even staying inside it loses its set quickly.Janet W.

I only buy RW wigs and I wear a wig daily. This particular one was a huge disappointment. Reminded my of a lesser brand. Thin, straggly. Unfortunately I had it quite a while before pulling it out to wear. I wore it once – just could not stand it. Looked cheap and fake. So in the garbage it went – an expensive mistake on my part. I’d recommend choosing an editor pick or Embrace. This is a dud.Jll
Love the deep ruby color, but the wig I received looked nothing like everyone else’s pics and video reviews. The front hair was very heavy and I couldn’t keep it out of my face, and the front side pieces hung down much lower than I liked. Took it to my hairdresser and had those front pieces trimmed off and some long bangs cut in. Still doesn’t look as full and “beach wavy” as everyone else’s, but I’ve still enjoyed wearing it the last few weeks. Going to order another one in a different color and see if I have better luck. I have been wearing wigs for most of my adult life. I’ve been wearing straight styles for many years, and loved how this wig looked when I checked online. When I got it, I thought maybe it’s too wavy for me. And after about 20 minutes of combing it out, it was just perfect for a beachy wave look. People I know are surprised that straight haired Deb now has waves . Close friends know I wear wigs and I’ve been stopped in grocery store and by the nurses in my doctors office asking how I get those “beautiful waves”. Today I’m sitting by my favorite lake, nice breeze and no concern how the breeze “messes my hair”.
