When I pulled this out, I wondered what to do with it since it was straight, unlike the picture. I know I can't even trim my bangs but if the shops aren't open you are stuck. So, yes I did that horrible thing of trimming it myself. I was very lucky this time. I trimmed the front fringe a little shorter and then went around the first layer under the front fringe. I guess I really still needed to wreck it so I got out flocked rollers since this is not heat defiant. Getting them in artificial hair was a mess but I put them in the front fringe, then the bottom from my cheeks to back of my ears. I pulled them as tight as I could and let them sit for about a day. It gave it just enough curl to flip back at the sides and at the bottom. I can never keep my hair in a fringe so I do stick it back of my ears and the curl on the end blends with the slight bottom curl. It is one of my favorite toppers now. I am waiting for cooler weather as it has a wefted cap and lots of hair but I will add another one as it gets cold.Rebecca S.

I got the second one on sale so that was even better. I did have to trim both a bit so they blended in with my bio hair. I actually enjoyed doing that. I am new to wigs and toppers and still learning. One thing I've learned is that Gabor is the only brand that offers a color close to my own bio hair. The color is GL38-48 and it matches my bio hair perfectly. I wish other top brands, such as Raquel Welch and Jon Renau, would offer more gray options, especially in the 38, 39, 48 range. This was the most awful low quality wig I every purchased. This use to be a great company back in the days and I was hoping it was still good. I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike many of the other wigs that do not even resemble the pictures of the wig they purchased, this one looks exactly like the pictures on QVC. I only have one small complaint. The Med Red/Ginger is NOT red. It is more like a light brown with a little bit of red in it. There are a lot of us natural redheads that would love a short brighter red wig, such as Rachel Welch wig color "Glazed Fire". I would like to suggest that Hairdo and QVC start offering more wigs that are a brighter red for their redheaded customers. Even though I'm not thrilled with the color, I will keep the wig because it is very complementary to my face.grammiecc

The HB-1970 is the best wig I have purchased anywhere thus far. The curls are nice and tight and holds their shape, even when I use hairspray, I am always receiving complements on my wig. I saw this wig on a friend and it was very becoming to her. I love the color of my wig. It’s light brown with golden bronze highlights. I was a little uncomfortable with the tight curls, but I pulled it out in the front to make bangs. I received so many compliments I started to feel comfortable. did not like the tight curls. I thought they would be much looser. the color was perfect. I was also susrprised at all the additional taxes that brought the price up much more than I expected. I do know there are taxes on the merchandise. I had already cut the tags off the wig and did not realize it could be returned. I chose the auburn color which is complementary to my skin tone. The pops of brown and blonde add some interest. Most over the counter wigs are too tight on my head and by the end of the day I have a headache. But this one fits excellently. I like the fact that where hooks usually are this one has Velcro. I am amazed at how many compliments I have gotten when wearing this wig. It looks very natural. At 73 years of age this week helps me to look years younger!Deborah

I purchased this wig from another online site. I like the wig but that site didn't have it in a color 2. I was happy to see you did. When I opened the box. I had plans to use the wig on a daily basis but after seeing it, I knew I was not going to be able to do anything with this wig. The hair quality is VERY poor and I guess for $39.00 you can't expect much more. The color I ordered was 4/27 but what I received looked golden with a little brown spread throughout. I am new at wearing wigs, my hair fell out due to a strong perm was applied. I ordered 3 wigs from EY because they are the only wig store I knew for AA's. The color for this wig was way off, it was suppose to be DARK BROWN WITH COPPER; it was more copper which really looks orange. I exchanged for a different color because I need a wig for everyday so I can go out without a hat. The curls are tight but I managed to finger comb the front to fit my face and the rest of the wig looks like a curly fro. Would still recommend to a friend because of the price. I use my wigs for everyday use. This one didn't look anything like the pic in the book or online. It had pin curls on top and in front that were very stiff, like they had been set with setting gel. I put it on and used a brush with plastic ball tips to brush them out. It actually looks very pretty now and fluffy. My daughter and husband complimented me with my new style and all that's who matters.
I returned this wig because the hair was hard like a set lotion was applied. It looked matted and I tried to come and the hair was a mess. I have never received a wig like this from Especially Yours. The sad part that I had to pay a large return fee for a poor wig. I have ordered another wig. I hope the next wig looked like it is pictured.Joan
