I have ordered several wigs from Paula Young & have been totally satisfied! The customer service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable! I have to admit, The Sheer Drama wig that I received a couple weeks ago or less, was my first disappointment. The cap is so sheer, that you can see dark hand tied knots a lot through the top. The wig color is Platinum 101. The dark knots actually made me squeamish! They looked like it had lice throughout it!! This would be a good wig for someone who is not new to wearing wigs. Straight out of the box the wig had a strong plastic like smell. After washing the smell was much less, but still there. Hoping this will fade with time. I have a large head but took a chance and ordered this anyway (average size). It fits very comfortably. The description says ""100% hand tied"". It is not. The top half is hand tied, the bottom half is sewn wefts. The hair is thick enough to be styled in a messy updo. The hand tied knots,on the top, are not bleached. If you order a medium to dark color it shouldn't be a big problem. If you are a light color you will need to camouflage them. This is not a lace front. There is a fabric band across the hairline that will make styling challenging. This would be a very comfortable wig if you had little to no hair. This is my first wig. I did my research, and chose Sheer Drama. I lov the waves and style My hair is long but falling out. I live in South Florida so my hair does not keep any curl in the humidity . If I wasn’t experienced in wearing wigs, this would have been a really frustrating and disappointing purchase. As soon as I took the hair out of the box, the ends seemed really tough and frizzy, to the point where the comb gets stuck. Because the quality is so poor, I ensure extremely gentle combing but somehow one of the tracks has already broken within the first 1-2 weeks. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic. If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. My mom gave Solana to me, because she wasn’t really feeling the color on her. I think this color is called “Chocolate Flamboyage” and when I first tried her on I too wasn’t 100% in love with this color as well, and being new to wearing synthetic wigs I really didn’t know what to do with it either lol. I ordered two of these wig styles. I wore the gray one to a mother's day brunch. As I was standing by my car, a lady called out Madia as she was passing by in her car. She thought I looked like the Tyler Perry character. I will never wear that wig again. The black one was designed with way too much hair. The hair does not fall correctly and it has too many layers. I was so excited to receive this and try something new. I've been wearing Reese and Sky for a few years now, but wanted to switch it up a bit. I was so disappointed when I saw this. First, it looked like doll hair and the color was AWFUL! I normally wear either Irish Spice or Bronzed Brown. I ordered R3025S+ this time for a "highlighted" look, boy was I wrong. I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I’m so happy I didn’t let the bad reviews discourage me. She’s a cute, sassy wig!jnut
I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. This wig came with the hairnet ripped and barely on the wig, which looked like it had just been thrown helter-skelter into the box. The wig had obviously been worn – it was stretched out (and my head is 22 3/8"!), the bangs were bent out of shape, it was frizzy and there was product in it…. This was a final clearance sale wig so I couldn't return it – but I still think that WigStudio1 should not have sold a wig in this condition… I wonder if they'll print this review…Maggie M.
I wish the bangs were swept and light. It was more a layered blunt bang. The hair was very soft and the permatease is minimal. I liked Lasting Impression better even though it had permatease all over since the look mimicked my own hair. The hair in the front was easy to tame and didn't fall in my face either. Can't wait to see Fashion Staple by Gabor next incase I want a longer look that I can custom trim. It looks like a longer version of Lasting Impression with flipped, frizzy (probably dry) ends. I tried Stepping Out since I was getting tired of hair falling out of control in my face… with most long wigs without bangs. But I didn't like the bangs on me, but they might be good for someone else. The cap was very comfortable. Finally found my natural synthetic color in 10/12 after 4+ years of searching RW, LF, Envy, Amore, etc. If you describe you hair color as Medium Brown (without any reddish tones near the root… but you see very slight reddish midway down to the ends due to sun exposure)… You also see goldish mixed in with slight reddish midway down your hair to the ends, try a Gabor style in 10/12. This wig is a great wig. I bought it in color 6/33 It was a bit lighter than I expected due to colors so theroughly blended. I was expecting more 6 and less 33. Still a nice color.. Fit is a little large , but average is a bit too small. I think I have felt with the problem bo sewing in clips at the base of the back. . Hair fiber density is nice. I deal with flyaways with a spritz fine mist water. I only use a wide tooth comb and spray it with leave- in conditioner. The part is realistic. The only way this wig could be better is if it had a full mono top and perhaps a lace front. I have this wig in the platinum blood as well. I'm still searching for the perfect dark brown with dark auburn highlights.Kay B.

Ladies, you have to appreciate this wig for what it is. It's exactly like I set my hair with large hot rollers! Only instead of going flat after an hour, the curls actually stay! That's what I love most about it. At first, I wasn't sure about her. She seemed a little wild! So I put her on the wig stand for a day or so. Then I decided to wear her and see what I thought. I put her on, bent over and finger fluffed, then stood up and flung my hair back and loved it! I dare say, I looked pretty sexy! Nice for a 60 year old. I wore this while I was bopping about the house doing laundry and vacuuming. I noticed the curls were bouncing when I walked, just like my own hair does! There was an annoying piece of hair right in front that kept falling in my face, so I carefully thinned it and shortened it to blend in. There's just barely a whisp of bang, which I like. I've been wearing her every day for 3 weeks. Wore this to a family party and received compliments! There was an outdoor heater right at my head level! Yikes, I thought my wig would melt lol, so I steared clear of that! It was also very windy too and I had no wig malfunctions. She got tousled in the wind just like the picture! This wig is mostly one length, about to my shoulders. You have to give these curly wigs some love, and a little hair spray helps too. Don't give up on these beautiful styles. Own it! Walk a little taller, do your makeup, and wear a flattering color next to your face. Add earrings, and I guarantee you will get many compliments. I own the red ginger and am ordering another one!
