I absolutely love my new flat iron that also allows for the ease of doing my hair while it’s wet. What a time saver it has been for me going to Nursing school & Work! The quality is excellent. It has air holes allowing it to vent and express steam and dry your hair while it is wet or damp. I set it at 300 temperature and it takes 10 seconds to heat up so it’s ready to start straightening right away. However it does take a bit for it to cool down. The iron is a great size for those of us that small irons aren’t enough. You can take a whole big section and it flattens easily and looks great. So bigger sections also allow for getting done a lot quicker. No need to take small sections to get a great look. I love the 360 swivel of the cord that keeps it from getting tangled so easily and creating a short life for the iron. You can use both hands without constantly trying to move the cord out of the way. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great innovative flat iron that’s efficient, great design and creates great styles. My hair is very fine and tends to frizz at the mention of the word humidity! I love straightening my hair, but I don't like that I have to dry it first or having to leave it air dry and straighten it the next day. This Wet2Style 1 3/4 Flat Iron is my new best friend. I can straighten my freshly shampooed hair after a simple towel dry instead of spending the extra time blow drying it with the hair dryer. I curl my hair with a straightener 5+ days a week and have used many brands in the past. This Remington straightener competes with much more expensive brands in functionality and features. It is light, sleek, and easy to operate. When it reaches the designated heat level (which happens very quickly) it gives a short beep. I have never had one do this before and I instantly loved the feature. The size and rounded shape are perfect for creating smooth curls that keep their shape all day. It also has a finger grip at the end to clamp the plates without burning your hands. I use a flat iron mostly when I don’t wash my hair but it has kinks in it from sleep. This flat iron is the perfect size. It’s big enough to be effective and compact enough to travel with and not take up a lot of room. The first thing that I noticed about this was the digital screen with the temperature on it. If you want to lock in the temp you hold the button in until it beeps which is a great feature. I used this with no product in my hair. I usually get static when using a flat iron but not with this one! I didn’t need any product as it made my hair soft but without the static. On the highest temperature setting, I only needed to pass this through each section of hair 2-3 times and again no static! This tool allows me to straighten my hair efficiently and effectively! I've been using the Remington Shine Therapy Argan Oil and Keratin Flat Iron (one inch) on my hair for a few weeks now. I have medium to fine hair so I've always been a little worried about using the flat iron to much as the heat may be to much for my hair. I find that this flat iron makes my hair look and feel great! This iron is infused with Argan oil and Keratin so I feel like I'm adding healthiness back into my hair as I straighten it out. The iron looks great right out of the box. It has a class design with a digital display for the temperature. It heats up super fast! It feels like the second you plug it in, you can start using it. The size of the iron fits very well in my hand and I can straighten and style my hair with easy. I have kept my setting on a 390 degree temp. Not the greatest quality. I didn't expect a lot but Certainly was surprised with the quality of the product. It's most definitely not what I expected.. which says a lot considering the fact that I had no high expectations whatsoever . It gets the job done.. not fast enough, but it gets it done. It also smells weird.. i bought a few months ago . Not even a year old. I saw a review that said "as good as Chi" on here so I bought it. It was a lie, It's not as good as Chi. I’ve been straightening my hair for over 10 years and have gone through a lot of flat irons. I would skip this one. I read the reviews for purchasing, and I should’ve listened. As a flat iron, it’s just okay. It does take multiple passes to straighten as others have stated. I have moderately wavy to curly hair, so nothing too crazy, and it does a mediocre job. This does pull at my hair, which results in fall out. The temp controls are the best I’ve ever across since it allows you to choose basically any heat setting, which is awesome. That isn’t enough to make this straightener worth the purchase though. Definitely skip this and look for a better reviewed flat iron. I will be returning this one.MM

I am really impressed with this Revlon Pro hair straightener! It did a fantastic job of straightening my hair, and it did it very quickly and efficiently. I have tried out a few hair straighteners lately, and one of the things that set this one apart was the temperature display as well as the ability to set the exact temperature that I wanted to straighten my hair. I also like how quickly this heated up! This one really was ready to go in about ten seconds, perfect for when you're short on time, which I'm guessing most of us are! I also like the locking feature. That's better for storing the straightener as well as travelling with it. When you're ready to lock the unit simply close it, then slide the lock button over to hold it in a closed position. I did find that this straightener is best for actually straightening hair rather than attempting to curl it. The plates have a rather squared off edge, so when I attempted to curl my hair using this it gave the curl a kinky edge. However, I was very impressed at how well this device straightened my hair, and how long my style held after I took the time to straighten it. I'm very pleased with this unit. I have type 4 hair and i was able to get my hair like I just came from the Dominican salon. The key is to put heat protectant spray while it’s wet, blow dry real good, then use the chase method to straighten. I put the heat on 20 or 25, not all the way to 30 After. I turned the heat down more and made loose flat iron curls to give it more body. I’m no hair stylist but this was easy to use Also, I used OGX PROTECTING AND SILK BLOWOUT SPRAY. I can’t speak for the longevity of this yet, but ease of use and quality for price? 5 stars. I have been using this to curl my short hair (hits mid neck), and this gives me the perfect texture I am looking for. As someone who has had long hair before, I can’t say if this would be successful for that. Conair has done it right again!! This is a fabulous wireless flat iron and I love that you can charge and take it with you or use it without a cord. I have fallen in love with this flat iron and this will replace my current one. Flat ironing without a cord is so awesome!! No longer am I tethered to the wall or limited to only flat ironing my hair in the bathroom, bedroom or wherever there is a plug. This would be great for anyone whether your at home or on the go, after the gym, traveler or even a camper. I felt so stupid looking at my Conair Unbound Cordless Flat Iron wondering where the ON/OFF button was. The instruction manual mentioned the button, but did not include where it was located, even in the diagram of the iron. I had to ask another owner where it was. It is inside below one of the titanium plates along with the +/- button. Other than that, I found the flat iron remarkably easy to use. It is lightweight and so easy to maneuver without a cord in the way. Since I have fine, wavy hair, I started with the lower temperature for fine hair. It didn't take long for me to realize it wasn't hot enough to straighten my hair, so I increased it to the wavy hair temperature. This worked better, but it still just did a very average job of straightening my hair. Still, I would recommend it because it is so easy to use.Slurpeegal

I received the Conair Unbound Cordless Flat iron. The flat iron has a 1 inch titanium flat plate and has 4 heat settings: 280, 320, 360, or 400. I have super thick hair, so I had to use 400. The cordless flat iron comes with a charger cord, a heat-resistant pouch to store your flat iron, and comes in a rather nice looking box that latches close with magnets. The flat iron is a pretty pinkish purple color that is very subtle. The control buttons to change the temp and turn on/off the flat iron is on the inside of the flat iron. Once the flat iron is on, you can see the temp lit up in LED light numbers of the temp that you have it set up for on the outside of the flat iron. In order to use the flat iron, you should first charge it for at least 3 hours. The direction recommend charging it every 3 months to prolong battery life even if you aren't using it. On a full charge, the flat iron is supposed to last up to 25 mins and does have an auto shut off feature if it's on for 15 mins or more. When using the Conair Unbound Cordless Flat iron, I think it is definitely better than other flat iron that I have used. I love that its cordless, has 4 temp settings, and that it has an auto shut off after 15 mins. I love knowing that because its cordless, I can bring it with me to do my hair at work, if I am running late. The flat iron is just the right size to fit into my tote bag. Also, I'm a little forgetful, so I think its great that there is an auto shut off after 15 mins. I would never want to forget and melt something down. That is one of my worst fears. I would totally recommend this product to my friends and family. In the past, I would always get so frustrated because of the cords getting twisted and not being close enough to the outlet. This is absolutely my favorite straightener of all time. I've spent hundreds of dollars on hair tools, but this flat iron does the job quicker than any of the rest. I have wavy, thick, long, frizzy, and coarse hair (damage from trying to go Beyonce blonde by myself), and it takes several tries to get rid of the kinks with smaller flat irons. But with this one, I can be ready in less than 10 minutes. I also just have to put on some serum before running it through the straightener and it will leave some shine in my hair. I don't like to curl my hair with a straightener so having a wider head that can take more of my hair at once has been absolutely ideal for me. The trick is to divide your hair into the top part and bottom part, go in with the straightener and a comb, bring the flat iron down slowly, and voila. It's straight. You don't have to damage your hair by repeatedly running a hot tool over it to smooth out all the kinks in your hair. I would highly recommend this straightener to everyone. The fastest heat-up time I have ever seen on a flat iron!! If you're new to a flat iron I suggest you definitely begin with a lower heat setting, then once youve mastered the learning curve gradually increase the heat. I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. I honestly don’t know why so many people love this. It doesn’t glide through the hair easy at all. I have a 20 dollar Conair straightener I have used for years to curl and straighten my hair but have been dying to try Kristin Ess hot tools since I love the shampoo / hair products so much. I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. This was the first flat iron I ever got. Thank God I have upgraded to a better one. I couldn't stand dealing with this one. Then again my hair is super curly. I am mixed (black and white) so I have very thick long curly hair. I'm not sure how this straightener would've worked on a different hair type, but I know that I eventually resorted to just using it to straighten my bangs. Effectiveness It worked OKAY. I usually had to straighten the smallest sections of hair in order to get it straightened properly. I also had to straighten over the same small pieces of hair a few times to get it straight. There are different heat settings. I usually set mine to the highest because that's what my hair needed. Make sure you do clean it from time to time because that will effect the iron's ability to straighten the way it should. Durability This flat iron is cheaply made. SO BE CAREFUL WITH IT. I have always used a curling iron even when the flat iron become the new thing. I already have straight hair but it lacks body and volume. The Conair Ultra Slim looked like a experimental flat iron since it's very affordable. I like the curve to the handle, this feature makes it easy to use and feels comfortable the whole time. I figure a slim flat iron would be a better fit for my hair, it's not thick, but it's not thin either. It took me so long to section off each part if my hair and go over it with this Ultra Slim Flat Iron! I used a flat iron spray to help with the hold, and after it was all said and done my hair looked straight but laid flat on my head. I've learned new techniques since purchasing this flat iron and see where this one can help with getting close enough to the roots to add volume. The settings go up to 25, so there's a range of heat to use, it also heats up fast in under a minute. Since it took me so long to go over my entire head of hair I will now use this one as a touch up flat iron or a back up while I travel. The size is perfect for carrying it out with me and it does the job as long as I don't have to go over my entire head of hair.AprilTolley

Great product. Before this I had a halfway working zebra print flat iron that was so old. I don't set it too high or I'll burn myself. I just go over my hair a little for it to lay good. Worst straightener ever used. Makes my hair dry and coarse. Wont straighten thick hair. I bought and tried it out it took over an hour to straighten and its still wavy in all sorts of spots. Its a bargain if you are in a pinch — however it only has two settings — low and high. It says it gets up to 400 degrees, but even on the high setting it does not seem like it. I would be taking an hour just about out of my day to try and straighten my hair. I do not have thick hair, but its not the thinnest either. It is long as well (down to mid back). The plates are a bit small, so I am guessing it would be better for those with shoulder length hair or shorter. I recently decided to buy a new straightener from a different brand and with that one at 300 degrees it is MUCH hotter than this has ever reached on the high setting. What used to take me nearly an hour took me less than ten minutes. I looked at the reviews that said great things hoping they were true. I bought this after mine got broken and im sad that im stuck with it. My hair is thick and very wavy and this straightner is not that good. My ild straightner thinned my hair and Strained my hair perfectly but this one it’s also strange my hair but it doesn’t finish it and my hair doesn’t even stay straight for long after about 10-15 minutes of having my hair straight it gets all wavy again the straightner does not make my hair the way i want it to be.
