This is the first time I’ve ever written a review! I’ve had this product now for about 2 week or so and I needed something to help moisturize my senegalese twists during this pandemic. This product exceeded my expectations! It’s not too thick but not watery either. I'm always looking to try a new product, see what my hair likes and what it doesn't. I tried the apple leave in conditioner first and didn't think I'd find anything better. I've had Chronic Telogen Effluvium for the past 4 years, which basically results in very heavy hair shedding. This stuff helped fill my hair back out when it was noticeably thinning and then maintain a full head of hair the entire time. It's obviously a product that will work for some people and not as much for others, but it's certainly worth a shot. I love the 2%…I did try 5% first at the advice of a dermatologist and I was so sensitive to it that it actually made the peach fuzz on my face far worse (despite the fact I'm careful not to get it on my face). Switching to the 2% fixed that issue, and the liquid is far easier to use than the foam if you have long hair…you just have to be careful to lean your head back a bit so it doesn't run down your face. This is a really well-priced alternative to the big name-brands out there charging two or three times the price. In terms of ingredients (active and otherwise), they seem to share the vast majority of them, and after using various over the years, this seems to work pretty much the same. So, in terms of lower cost while still providing a relatively high quality, this is a good product in comparison to market competitors. But, do keep in mind, minodzidil overall is not a miracle drug, and doesn’t really do too much for a lot of people. Personally, after a few yesrs of use, it seems to really only keep my hair relatively thick, but unable to do much in saving my front hairline and crown balding. That is just simply a part of aging as male and cannot be avoided for most men— unless you expect to not have any testosterone conversion within your body! So, the bottom line is, if you want minoxidil in a foam form that is less agitating for the skin than the liquid form, then this is a fantastic product to purchase. I think most of the bad reviews is for those who misused it. I have curly high prosperity hair that was damaged of chlorine as I swim for sports. Ever since I started swimming, my hair degraded and become dry and hard to deal with. I received this product few days ago and i applied it two times so far. I like how my hair looks and feels like after using this product and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I use it after shower as a light mask. After I wash my hair, I applied very very small amount after rubbing it with my hands on wet hair-because if otherwise, hair will be greasy as the product is very heavy and oily with strong smell that can be very unpleasant for many-. I covered my hair with plastic cap and applied hot towel for 15 min. I then left my hair to dry without rinsing the product. The hair becomes soft and moisturized and most importantly smells fresh and minty. The smell when small amount of the product is applied is actually very nice once the hair dries out. I didn’t try the product as leave-on conditioner though. I highly recommend conditioned on correct use of the product.iHerb Customer

I absolutely love this grease. I stop using it (after using for 15 year) because my Hairdresser told me scalp don’t need it and I believed her for the last 15 or more years. i'm caucasian with long hair and needed a product that would add moisture and shine to my hair so i gave it a try. it worked well! i put it on wet hair and let it sit for 24 hours. don't put on scalp unless your scalp is dry. it contains petroleum which has gotten a lot of bad press. there are 2 kinds of petroleum-cosmetic grade and "the rest" which can be impure. cosmetic grade petroleum is in our makeup, hair products and many more items. its ability to seal and protect skin and hair is amazing. make sure to wash this out of your hair using sulfate free shampoo (i make my own). i use this once a week. great product!jakeremi

I'm ELATED on how conditioning, moisturizing, and detangling this deep conditioner is. I washed my hair with my favorite shampoo, Cream of Nature Moisturizing Shampoo and after rinsing it out, applied this deep treatment to my hair. I wrapped my towel around my hair to allow my dampened hair to absorb the dripping water. After 15 minutes I removed the towel, sectioned my hair off into 6 sections and evenly distributed this deep conditioner from roots to ends; focusing primarily on my ends. SIMPLY AMAZING. I was going to rinse it out, but surprisingly, it made my curls pop so much and didn't cause any shrinkage that I left it in my hair.
