I've just received my 4th Top Billing topper and wanted to review again. The first two I bought in 2020 and was thrilled. Perfect fit right out of the box, color was exceptional, thick, but not too thick and not too shiny. However when I bought a new Top Billing in Feb of 2021, I could tell the difference right away and sadly the same is true of the one I just got. Two different colors, same problem. The material is thinner, shinier and unwearable without a lot of fussing. It's not as long or as full and because its thinner it flips up on the ends and doesn't look natural. It doesn't hang properly. I have thin hair all over so if I want to wear my hair "down" I need enough thickness on the topper to cover my bio hair. No problem wearing the 2020 Top Billings down, but the new ones I have to clip or pin or wear up because they're too thin. Also the new material is noticeably shinier and I've spent a lot of time washing and dry shampooing to try and get it to look more natural. I'm really disappointed as I've tried a lot of toppers and thought I'd finally found "the one"!Laura
I love the lace front & lightweight quality coverage. On the flip side, the lace front is tricky. I use Milano new topper band. The large size fits perfectly with this piece. I found them on Amazon in large & small. I comb dry hair straight back, use Kenya dry shampoo, which is a little tacky & the band does not slide back, maintaining a nice lace front. I ordered the Raquel Welch Top Billing in color RL10/12 Sunlit Chestnut. The topper was pretty but the color was just too dark (maybe too ashy) for me. I previously ordered the RL12/16 Honey Toast — it was a little too light. I am at a loss on how to order the right Raquel Welch color — the professional recommendation was to order the RL10/12 that I just returned. I love the RW heat defiant fiber, density and texture — it looks like REAL hair. My current "go to" toppers are Jon Renau Top Smart in 12/30BT Rootbeer Float and Jon Renau Top Coverage in 12 Light Golden Brown but I just don't love the shiny synthetic (non HD) fiber. My hair has been thinning really bad on the sides and always wear my hair up, making my hair loss very visible. It comes in a small bottle that has holes on the top, I just pour the powder into the cap and use a blush brush and brush it on the bald spots and along my hair line and it instantly looks like I have a full head of hair. This is my first time using this type of product so I really don’t have anything to compare to but there’s no need to try any other. This works great, matches my hair well, looks natural and is lightweight and doesn’t leave my hair stiff. There’s a variety of shades available to help you match your natural hair color. It’s better to match closer to your root if you normally color your hair. It’s applied by shaking it on thinning areas and then patting to disperse and distribute the fibers. It should be used on completely dry hair. I had a virus with high fever for days and about 6 weeks later, I started losing my hair by the handfuls. I lost about 60% of my hair. I had thinning throughout my entire scalp but it was especially noticeable around my temples/hairline at my forehead. Aging and prescribed medications have caused my hair to thin out, leaving my scalp way too noticeable for my liking. I have tried several different products, but none were as effective or natural looking as Toppik. Application is so simple that I was able to cover the bare spots in less than a minute. I had to return the bangs. Very pretty color. Nice density. Not too thick. Unfortunately I find that many clip on bangs & wigs with bangs dont look realistic. The bangs start too far back on the wig or topper. The box came in disarray. It look like the journey to me at some point they fell out of the box and somebody tried to put them back in. It took a while to figure out the right color, but Raquel Welch 14/25 is perfect. I was concerned that a synthetic wig would look fake, but my critics (family) were very happy that it looks exactly like the hair I (used to) have only much thicker. I bought two different wigs, two toppers (one lighter to match my summer hair), and two faux fringes and I think I'm in good shape for awhile. Except that I really like the reddish blonde color…!
I've lost some hair due to alopecia. Wigs are too much for me. These R.W. toppers are perfect; texture, volume & length! I have several, and they are so light-weight & natural looking, I forget I'm wearing them & none knows I have added hair. Wish they would start making them in varied colors like shaded & rooted. That would be cool. A real value. Wigstudio1 specials are great, too.

It seemed like a small amount of strands of hair sewn on and a lot of gaping holes in between. When I took this wiglet out of the box it was smaller than I expected. The piece is designed for crown coverage and it just looked too small for me. I also thought the three clips looked too big. I was wrong! I snapped it in and after a quick amount of styling it disappeared into my own hair and completely covered my crown thinnning. I bought the R60 and the color was a pefect match. I have 3 other toppers from Vogue and I like this one the best. There are 3 clips to attach to your hair-so the base is almost in a triangle shape and it fits the head so well. This is my 2nd time getting this topper. The first time was from another website and unfortunately I didn't take great care of it. So this time round it has lasted much longer and looks great. The price really cannot be beat. I love how it adds extra volume to my crown. I don't really have to do anything to it to style it. It's pretty much a wash and wear piece. It is a bit flat though, no waver which is fine because I have straight hair. And it is thick but not too thick. The clips are small and don't hurt. I have been wearing this topper since November 2019 and it's now Feb 2020. I learned the hard way to not waste money on heat friendly synthetic hair. If you don't heat style your hair, DO NOT buy heat friendly synthetic. It does not last! Within a month, it was unwearable. After that mistake, looked long and hard for a topper that was traditional synthetic, but that wasn't too thin or thick, while still being long enough. This one does the job, especially for the price. It looks natural enough and it's comfortable to wear. The hair has been holding up okay, but I take excellent care of it — place it on a stand, use conditioning spray, and of course, no heat. The biggest con is the cap. If this piece came with a monofillament base, it would be PERFECT. The cap is VERY thick, making the top look all puffy. It's hard to create a natural looking part. And upon taking it out of the box, there were lots of super short hairs sticking up from the crown. Please consider suggesting to the manufacturer to make this topper with a thinner base.
