Last night we put in about 3 more hours of work on my thigh/bum piece that I shared with you all about a month ago. Josh wasn’t completely happy with it (artists are NEVER happy with their own work!) and wanted to make it pop a little bit more. And pop it does! I’ll share updated photos once it’s healed. Hopefully we’ll be able to show it at the Hell City Tattoo Festival next weekend! If any of you are in the Phoenix area, be sure to come by and say hello!
In between gripping the pillow and cursing my beloved’s name while he tattooed my hipbone, I was able to make it through another large chunk of my #GIRLBOSS book, which I’m rather obsessed with right now. Even if you don’t own your own business or even have the intentions of starting one, this book is chalked full of wonderful advice and information that translates to your career, life goals, and even your attitude. Sophia Amoruso is extremely relatable and shares a lot of stories from her past that helped get her to where she is today.
Speaking of success and failures..
I’ve been failing A LOT with my projects and recipes! I’m not sure if I’m just off my game or I’m not thinking my ideas 100% through before trying to execute them, but it made for a slightly frustrating week. Since I promise to always share the good, bad, and ugly I was considering a new feature called Friday Failures. The purpose would not be to rub my nose in my own failures more, but rather to celebrate the mistakes, share what I’ve learned, and to show you that unless you’re Chef Ramsay.. you’re going to have a few flops in the kitchen! Let me know what you think and if this is something you would like to see.
I hope you’re all having a very SUCCESSFUL week! 😉
